He can be a bit pretentious and maybe too reactive/emotional at times. That's about all I can think of. Don't get me wrong. I love this channel, but Eric and Chad have their dumb moments just like every other human being. I can't fault either of them for it.

    • @JohnGreyman

He constantly interrupts people like only his opinion matters. Like talking to your wife, your never going to be right and shes never going to be wrong. Erik is defiantly the Robin to Chads Batman. Robin turned out to be a great superhero when he grew up. I just wish in most of his videos with others, someone would walk in and tell him to go wash the batmobile. Or help Alfred with the camera.

The rails do fit, holes are the same on a 12 ga...Pop is 80 now and the 410 is ideal for him being weaker now due to old age. I put a laser on it so he could aim and got him a cool scabbard for the thing. He loves it and named it 'TJ', for Terminator Junior, lol.

You laugh, but if you were in the process of invading a home and caught a face full of bird-shot (or god forbid, some buck-shot or a slug), you're probably not going to decide to continue with what you were doing, if you're even alive at that point, and I have doubts... Also, as they say, "Fear the man who has only one gun (even if it's "merely" a .410 Pump). He probably knows how to use it. People also doubt the lethality of a semi-auto .22lr varmint gun, but if I mag-dump some .22LR Wasps into your eyes and face, you're gonna be out of the fight, and that's putting it nicely. It's not about the stick. It's about who's swinging it. Mind you, I'm not about to go Bear-hunting with a 10/22 or a .410 Pump. In terms of "varmints of the human variety", though, they will do just fine so long as you know what you're doing.

You guys do the best video's of all the "Gun Guy Video Channels" that I watch, honest to God!!! I don't see or hear you guys talk down to the viewers and try to show off how smart you are when it comes to firearms and ammo, plus the video's that you put up are always video's that seem to be for the regular shooters, like stuff as and example, this 410 Shockwave video. I just feel that your video's seem to target the regular shooter and what we like to see...IMHO anyway!!! This is a great video and I love how it has addressed a normal 410 shotgun for normal shooting folks!! I appreciate video's like this and I always find them informative and entertaining!! Thanks for doing what you do guys.
Now, with saying that, they are a BLAST to shoot, right? I literally picked one up yesterday on a whim at Montana Tactical!! I had NO plans on buying any firearms, rather I was in to pick up some 12 Gauge ammo along with some 44 Magnum ammo and I saw another guy looking at one and when he was finished looking at it, I asked if I could check it out? I'd say I looked at it for less than 5 mins and I was SOLD!!!! It just felt good in my hand, a tad small, but I'm a tad big...Hahaha...at 6'6" 300 lbs but that's ok, it'll match up with my Mossberg 590 Nightstick, which I've had for nearly a year and I bought a Brand New Mossberg OEM Wood Stock for it, I also had a Smithy install the Mossberg OEM Ghost Ring Sights on it, a MCarbo Trigger Kit, a Mesa Tactical 6 Round Aluminium Side Saddle, an OPSOL MINI CLIP to shoot the shorty shells, a Red NDZ Extended Safety Switch, a S&J Hardware Bright Green Delrin No-Jam Follower and their Heavy Duty Mag Spring that's made from Chrome Silicon Wire that has a High Tensile Strength when it comes to high temps, so they say and a Magpul RLS Sling in Coyote Brown because it just looked better with the Wood Furniture. It's a sweet looking MINI SHOTGUN and I polished all the internals within a couple of days of bringing it home and between that and just racking it empty while sitting outside or watching the tube, most definitely smoothened things up while NOT costing me a nickel!!! Now, it's as smooth as butter when I operate it.
I'll be doing the some of the same upgrades to the 410 but not nearly as much. This 410 is for my wife and even before we left the shop, it got it's first upgrade. I saw a TRU-GLO FAT-BEAD on the rack and when she saw it, she said that's the front sight she wanted on the 410, so I turned it over and sure enough, it's a 5-40 Thread Size, so we're set there and the due behind the counter asked if she'd like to see it installed on the gun? She said sure, so he removed the factory bead and installed the Fat Bead and she loved it. If you don't have one on your 410, I would like to suggest that it maybe something to consider, unless you're thinking RED-DOT or something else? It's 0.100" in diameter and it's 0.5" in length and the Green is super bright. The Part Number is TG-TG948DG and he just threw it in for FREE....nice, it got it's first upgrade before walking out the door!! Lol....I bought a box of Winchester S410 PDX1 DEFENDER Ammo and they're 2-1/2" Shells that have 3 Disc's ahead of 12 BB Pellets @ 750 FPS and on the way home we stopped by the range to try them and the Shockwave out. Set the target at 18 yards and the Disc's were 2" to the right of centre and the BB's were approx the same 2" and formed about a 12" circle around the Disc's. Not bad for the 1st round out of it. I wouldn't want to get hit with that round...hahahah...it would certainly leave a mark!!! Lol...
I considered buying a SB Brace setup myself. Can you tell me how you like it as far as it's fit and finish and how it feels to the shoulder? Is it a comfortable "stock" to use? I haven't really researched them fully yet, but I think there's 3 major component's, right? The Brace, the piece that connects the brace to the Receiver, then the Pistol Grip, do I have that right? I like the angle that I see from the profile shot of you taking out the targets with ease, Eric!!! You're a really decent shot, sir!!! So far I'm glad I bought one and my wife loves it. We're off to the range again today and we're going to try that Critical Défense ammo that you ran at the beginning of this video and see what it's like compared to the Winchester S410 PDX1 Defender stuff we tried yesterday. Ok, I've yapped on way too long here. Thanks for the great video!!!

The bead sight on a combat shotgun causes them to shoot higher than with a rib or sights. I believe they were referred to as "Belly Button Guns" in early military use due to the instructions to "aim at their belly button" to ensure a center mass hit.

With a Mission First Tactical light mount, I was able to put my Streamlight Protac 2 on top of the receiver. I couldn't find a light mount that would fit out front. For in-the-house range, it hits right about where the light hits. I also put a small cartridge holder on the sling to hold a extra 15rds. It's my atv/walking the dogs gun when in the woods. I bought a Henry Axe a couple months back, 410 ammo seems cheaper now for sure than what it was, at least in my area. I’ve actually bought a couple of .410 shotguns to replace my old Mossberg pump model 500 from the late 80s (I used it on squirrels for years, but I’m hard on my “work guns”). Went with a Henry lever action pump. Polymer stock and side loading gate .410, wish this was around 30 years ago. Doubtful I be able to beat this one up like I did the old Mossberg.

On another note: I'm skeptical about legally running a brace in a shoulder mounted position, as you just did, which is why I haven't removed my bird-head grip yet. Even in the AR pistol platform, I'm skeptical running it shoulder mounted, as I've seen others do too. Maybe you can touch on that aspect as well.
