I was able to abolish 'Random' and 'Plus' with the two girls. Random: I grabbed the rules from the guy near the save point, then saved/reloaded, didn't draw, and played against Diamond (the girl on the left). Plus: I grabbed the rules from Xu (the girl near the hangar exit), saved/reloaded, drew 10 times, and played with Diamond (the two girls). Just know that you don't need to load a previous save in Disc 3 to abolish rules. Just do some back and forth, try things. Once you abolish a rule, you're on the right path... Totally doable inside the Ragnarok in Disc 4, thanks to Fuzz who taught us well. 😎
I know that some people are struggling to remove random and plus around this part in the game but I found a RUclips video that helps. Well at least in my case it did help but you must not go past the point of no return you will need to go back and forth to Timber and Trabia. Just get rid off the random and plus rule from Trabia and then progress the story and you should at least have no troubles.
I had to use the "do not draw" 13 times in order to get rid of the "Plus" rule. But hey, at least it finally worked for me. Got Open and Trade Rule One.
For me, the magic number is 5. Do not draw 5 times, and challenge the twins. Maybe it was 5 times for me because I moved the queen to trabia before disc 4. Hope this helps!
I needed to modify my “reject draws” down to 4 in order for ‘Plus’ do go. After that, I was left in the perfect circumstances; “Open” and “All”! I can play Left anytime now, no holds barred! Yay!!! 👍👍👍
For me, I started with Dollet rules (in my case, "Open" and "Elemental"). I went through the steps, including talking to Club (even though I could’ve skipped it). I struggled to abolish "Plus". On some of my attempts, either "Open" was abolished or "Elemental" was added. I modified my "reject draws" to 6. This let me abolish "Plus". I also have "Open" and "All" now! When I see the words "I'll hold off on it for a while", that almost sounds like they could bring back "Plus". I hope that's not the case. Update: "All" eventually degenerated to "One". Perhaps not the ideal trade rule, but it's better than dealing with "Direct". "Open" is still the only rule in play for me.
I was able to remove the Plus rule by following these steps: First, upon entering Ragnarok, I saved the game, reloaded it, and then skipped drawing nine times before playing against the guy near the save point. By doing this, I managed to abolish the Same/Wall rule. Then, I saved the game. Next, I reloaded the game, skipped drawing five times, and went to play against Diamond (the two girls). This method worked for me with the following rules: Open, Same, and Elemental.
i forgot and drew full-life earlier in the game so couldn't use the 'do not draw' method as it was now empty. however, i did "experiment" a little and what finally worked was interacting with the empty draw point 7 times, then playing diamond, agreeing to mix rules and then quitting - she then said she was going to hold off on the plus rule.
I also have now the draw point empty and I am now unable to abolish the random rule which is by far the most annoying rule of the entire game (together with the direct rule!) 👿👿👿👿
This is the case for me. Here's what I did: Hard Reset (Exit game) then challenge and decline left diamond 3 times and then challenge again and accept, plus rule will abolish.
If you still are in CD2 o CD3 you can easily abolish plus in Trabia, go to Dollet pick the rules there, next go to Shumi Village save in the hotel now exit the game. Reload, go outside and challenge the shumi outside the hotel 8 times rejecting the offering and acept in the ninth challenge. Plus should be abolish.
Yeah I couldn't tell you I always make sure to abolish every rule before disc 4. Started the game over a second time because I screwed up once already.
I had the same issue so I messed with it for a while. Do exactly what Fuzz tells you to do in this video to abolish the Plus rule. Then save. Talk to CC Club again until he stops mixing rules (like Fuzz did the first time). Then go save by the draw point again. Quit, reload, then select and cancel from the draw point twice and go play diamond. Quit out of her game after you’ve accepted and she should abolish random. If that doesn’t work, just try select-cancelling the draw point different intervals until you find the RNG that works to do it. That is really the main principle here. I know your comment is 7 months old and you’re probably playing FF7R now anyways, but you never know. Fuzz, and the comments section, have helped me so much I wanted to do my part to add something.
@@ComedicBrain Thank you very much for your detailed answer^^ I planned to go back to FF8 anyway so this is a tremendous help for me. I screenshotted your comment. Again, thank you very much
For those who didn’t abolish trabia earlier and have Open, Plus, random; To abolish plus follow the video above. Now to abolish Random rule, Interact with draw point 8 times and you’re done
Why didn't you abolish PLUS from Trabia earlier using the exchange student in the Galbadia Garden? I followed your playlist and saw that you did not have any requirements to keep PLUS from Trabia for all this time
If you're using sudden death as the mixing rule, i.e. FH, try using the draw point six times and hopefully plus will abolish that way, if like me, you can't use open/elemental to abolish rules.
You need to get to the ultimicia castle first, and then come back through the second door, go to the chocobo forest ride a chocobo, then go to desert find the Ragnarok ship.
Nice way to farm for items. I enjoy the card game but have a tough time getting rid of rules like random and others. Can you do a guide explaining how you can change the rules. Kinda confused how to do it and how it works.
Check his playlists, he made the most detailed and comprehensive version of how to fix the rules in the whole world and get all the rare cards at the earliest possible time. Deep knowledge of this game to say the least.
It's "easy" to abolish rules just needs you to jump back and forth from regions a lot and save scum. There are some sorts of RNG manipulations out there but I never did them I just left it to chance. Anyhow this is how you do it... 1) Go to a region that has 1 rule that another region doesn't have. Decline mix rules until they offer to play without. Play the game. You are now carrying these rules 2) Go to the region you want to abolish a rule from and save. Accept mix rules and then quit the match. if it spreads a rule or does nothing reload. Eventually a rule will be abolished Also if open is not in the region you want to abolish a rule from then almost always that rule will spread so just save when that happens and then go back to step 1) Example: Fisherman's Horizon: Open Elemental Trabia: Random Plus This would likely take three trips. One to spread open, then two more to abolish random and plus.
You're gonna need at least one extra rule on top of open in order to get the prompt to mix rules. Mixing is the only way to abolish, so no. If you're gonna pick one rule to deal with it should be sudden death or sane wall from fh or esthar. If same wall is inactive but same wall is active then same wall doesnt work
Hey Jerry. For the PS4 version, simply quitting to the game's title menu will class as a hard reset. In fact, there is no soft reset in the Remastered version at all.
@@FuzzfingerGaming Oh perfect, thanks! I've read a few guides for manipulating the card rules and couldn't for the life of me figure out how the reset would apply to the PS4. This seems easy enough, thanks again!
There's A Bunch Of Ways You Can Manipulate Card RNG, The Way I Do It Manipulates ALL The CARD RNG Stuff, Which Is GOOD. And How I Do It Is This: 1. In Whatever Current Area/Region Your In(City), You Can Enter/Exit Different Screens Of Said-Area Different #s Of Times. It's Just Like Entering/Exiting Chocobo Ranch Different #s Of Times When Your Trying To Breed A Certain Chocobo/Gender In FF7. Just Make Sure You SAVE With Each Attempt BEFORE You Attempt To Spread "Open" Or Abolish ANY Rule.
I agree, trade rule Direct is terrible. I've been able to change it is by playing several games in the region the Queen of Cards is in. That way, the region becomes the dominant region, and the Queen of Cards will spread trade rules around the world based on the dominant region. Or sometimes, say yes to playing then quitting (repeat until you get the trade rule you want) with the QoC in the region where you're trying to change the trade rule from Direct.
Depends where you want to abolish the random rule, each area has a specific way of doing it. There are a few examples on youtube for various areas - as each area has a specific method for abolishing rules.
I tried the draw point 5 times and like a lemon accepted the draw on the 6th... thought what the hell and tried playing the girls twice and quit and Random got abolished. Just lucky I guess

Did I need to do something else? Is there a special way to board the Ragnarok to initiate that cutscene??
Thinking about it...I don't think I may have ever entered the Ragnarok until I went to see Laguna and they came aboard the ship, Maybe that's what caused it happen? Because every time you press the menu button afterwards you appear at the deck with everyone else...Or it's just a bug, I have every card, there is no way I missed the CC Group, I even go back to Balamb and they are all there, Xu just says "Hey Squall, Long time no see, Wish I could ride on that dragon thingy"...Maybe crashing into Lunatic Pandora gets rid of them? I settled with Open, Same, and Elemental. I managed to remove plus and random but can’t seem to abolish anything else. If someone knows how to abolish Same and Elemental, it would be highly appreciated.
One thing I really wish they did with the Remaster in regard to the card game, was at least, to let you just pay The Queen of Cards not only for whatever rule she decides to charge you for, but for whatever rules you want, so you can customize a region's rules with her, to spread or abolish whatever you want, so you don't have to do all the pseudo-deterministic RNG manipulation with draw points or card game refusals, or just hope to dear God people finally get bored of a certain rule, and it's abolished. My policy with abolishing rules, anyway, is if all else fails, just keep soft-resetting and moving the "wheel" along asking to play once and quitting, until the rule change that occurs lands on the Spread or Abolish I want, brute-force it that way (but I guess you can't do that here, so great). But about paying for card rules with the Queen of Cards, to make it fair, sure, I would've accepted that the rules you can pay her for unlock as you play games in more regions. Just would've made it better, seriously think so... Then, in regard to the Queen of Cards quest itself, I wish they made it so she can always talk "about her artist father", and not only in Dollet... You know, for the new players, because otherwise, there is no way to know you're supposed to send her to Dollet, to find out in what region she gave the new card to somebody... but then, she could just tell you everything no matter where she is... Oh well, I guess certain ambiguities or secrets are nice to have, anyway... Always loved the game, favorite and first Final Fantasy, and despite all the research I did, and abolishing every rule in the game (except Esthar's secret Same Wall), I still had trouble getting that Edea card... It's hard to choose either Random and Plus to abolish in Lunar Base for the Laguna card, so I just abolished Plus in Centra to abolish Random in Lunar base, and tolerate the Random rule to get Edea, because... that Edea card's Plus compatibility, man... I get nightmares... I'll take Random, fine, at least I can refine most of my crappy cards, get them back later... Otherwise, as a kid, I just put up with the rules, and it was fine... but you gotta abolish rules for these farms with the Card Club on the Ragnarok on Disc 4, is the thing... Oh and by the way, I saw you put the Queen of Cards at All and in Shumi. I just want to reassure everyone that All in Shumi is a great way to go, I thought it would degenerate into Direct so was always afraid, but no, it just degenerates to One, and you can get it back to All with just 4-5 card game refusals. Then, don't put the Queen in Lunar Base, don't bother, because it's hell, it's hell playing against Quistis, she's so annoying, she takes forever to make her moves... but I guess this whole thing is about patience, and farming, so why the hell not, right?... Love the game, done quite a bit of card farming and Dark Matter farming (with that impossible dream of refining them into the Luck-J Scrolls and Luck Ups and dumping them into Irvine and critting for 9999 with Fast Ammo against Omega Weapon); I got an Angelo Search Hungry Cookpot and even a second Girl Next Door somehow (yes, "stingy bastard" to Zone, I am, I can wait for the Shiva card); I got a Silver Mail, by God did I get that Silver Mail from those Snow Lions (so very much regret not just trying to get them from the screen you fight Tiamat); I found out you could go back to where Laguna was in the movie; I've played to the end of the game without gaining a level, using Break on certain human enemies, or using Break on my own party members to prevent experience from certain "Cyborg" enemies with too high of resistance to Break, then Carding and Level Downing all other enemies, all quite a slog to do over the course of the whole game, I must admit; I've done a lot, but I've accepted I probably will never be able to do as people like Justin-Credible on RUclips have done, getting their perfect stats and perfect inventories. I'm hesitant to as I've already burnt out a TV getting the Excalibur II in Final Fantasy IX, then hitting dummies for perfect Damascus weapon stats in Vagrant Story, and then going on to play all the Fort Condor battles in FFVII and finally then smelling the burning... but all's well, might want to play ignorant of all my knowledge the next playthrough of this, like I played it when I was a kid, maybe using more GFs, at least until Adel, though that No Junctions run is quite something... Well, thanks for the videos, and happy final fantasies. Oh and I was led to believe once you cannot get the Eden card from Left-Diamond girl there, but you absolutely can, just wanted to say that, so you don't have to get it from Ultima Weapon.
If my memory serves me correctly, that Ultima draw point is a one-time only draw. It's probably better to refine Ultima from Energy Crystals from the fixed Elnoyle encounter (a floating, deranged soldier in one of the screens with stairs and an overhead skyway) in Esthar after Lunar Cry.
@@sunsetsoverthanalan That Ultima draw point at FH is a one time deal. Better off paying for unlimited Ultima draws at Shumi village. 10 Elnoyle Cards gives you 1 Energy Crystal which are needed to refine ultimate weapons. Energy Crystals can also be refined into pulse ammo.
No mater if I do a hard reset on not; no mater who I go to random and all other rules are there. They go away with the guy in the short hallway with the save point then come right back if I leave the room and come back.
This video didn't work for me unfortunately. Instead, I just challenged others on the ship and intentionally lost all my low level cards. From there I challenged the diamonds with random active.
There is one question that has nothing to do with cards but with 100 % trophies. I am on Disc 4. I am on the world map. And I reached Seed Rank A. But there is no trophy for me. Why? Is that a thing that you only can get on Disc 3? On the trophy guide site there is no mark of MISSABLE trophy with this one. I got the payment with Seed Rank A twice now but still no trophy. Any ideas or can you do a video about this trophy? Oh and one thing. With this trick that means even though I never did any QUEEN OF CARDS stuff I still can get Cards like Phoenix? I only miss 5 cards or so.
From what I hear you need to do the test from rank 30 to rank A just wander around around till your seed rank drops then take the test to get to rank A.
As long as you do the card Club missions in balamb garden you can get every card you've missed except (pupu) at the end of the game. You can get all the cards over and over again

Tldr my dude but yeah I don't think you can soft reset on the console remaster
Hi fuzz, I found a hidden Ultima draw point in the mayor's house in FH. I'm guessing that's farmable and free Ultima's?
@@sunsetsoverthanalan oh that's a shame, thought it was a little too easy.
Cheers for the info.
The only good thing about that draw point is abolishing card rules with it definitely a one-time-use
No mater if I do a hard reset on not; no mater who I go to random and all other rules are there. They go away with the guy in the short hallway with the save point then come right back if I leave the room and come back.
I did play other members before doing your method although. plus played the queen of cards in that hidden spot. She had all rules set.
This video didn't work for me unfortunately. Instead, I just challenged others on the ship and intentionally lost all my low level cards. From there I challenged the diamonds with random active.
Smart idea.
It is advisable to abolish all rules (Except Open) from every location (Except SAME from Timber) and lastly send the queen of cards to Trabia (Shumi) before going to disc 4
Wow
The design of de cards is better en psone versión 😞😞😞
Ok this is annoying me, I’m literally not getting anywhere with this smh 🤦🏻♂️
Lmao I’ve have left diamond use like 3 rares at once in a hand.
Well that's an annoying voice, i am out :D
You didn't have to leave a negative comment, you could of just left anyway.
