Pacing For Performance Explained - 200 unbroken burpees

  • Doing 200 reps unbroken on the Burpee‘s and pacing with the stomach strike. When I say unbroken I mean there is no jogging in place, no taking a step forward or back or anything in between the repetition except the stomach strike as the queue to make you go down into the next repetition.

      When talking about boxing..
I was thinking of using iron wolfs routines for conditioning as a boxer, but then I thought that boxing is more hiit short bursts rather than one hour of steady burpees. Anyone's opinion ??

@@muhammadtyson8676 These workouts will 100% get you fit as a fiddle and lose that belly fat in the middle. Your conditioning will be through the roof . Just pick different workouts each day , some do fast as possible, others take your time with. These workouts will benefit in any combat sport or any sport for that matter. I tried to go along as Art went thru these 200 reps but ended up doing 4 sets of 50 reps with a 1 minute break (jogging in place) between sets. Tough. While the pace is still a bit too high for me, I find the "metronome" very helpful to get in sync and become used to faster reps! Again: Many thanks! One of my goals this year is based on the post-apocalyptic movie The Blood of Heroes.
In the movie, they start the ultra-violent game they play by saying, "One hundred stones, three times," after which point the timekeeper starts throwing rocks at a rusty piece of metal, and the resulting sound acts like the ticking of a clock.
So why not go for 100 burpees, three times? Just without a break between sets. I do "sidewalk burpees," where a do a rep at a crack in the sidewalk, move to the next crack for the next rep, etc. So I'm going to try this as out, back, and then out again to the 100th crack.
I'm hoping to shoot for the 300 by June, hoping avoid any injuries and ramping up the reps like I plan to. I've found that I need a fair amount of recovery time when ramping up the reps, so I'll only do burpees once every three days when doing that, but I'm hoping that this goal isn't too bad.
I doubt that I'll ever get close to Ironwolf's level, but I'm having fun with this particular goal. At least for what's a somewhat non-standard meaning of the word "fun."
Without these videos, I never would have found the motivation to try stuff like this. I hope that others find them equally motivating.

After that, 63 on the first set but only 49 on the second set. Yesterday, I could only push myself to do 4 sets of 20. Starting tomorrow, Mondays and Thursdays will be the PT pyramid, 2 sets of 12 minute conditioning the rest of the week. Rest on Sundays. Wish me luck.

This is the only way to do burpees, I never do the jogging in place, pedal to the metal, only rest after 100 straight for 30 secs and off to the next 100.
