Always a good debate between these two excellent options. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with the devices that I cover on my channel. It's also mega useful for anyone who is thinking of buying one of these tablets for themselves!

I’m so happy you said you enjoyed writing. I thought I was the only one who would see a Moleskin and it sit on my shelf for years until I find a reason to use it. I just purchased the RPP and its fills my need to write with the filling of writing without distractions.

I don't need email, banking, or social media apps on my eink device, but apps for reading magazines, news papers, library's app and monthly fee based book reading apps (Storytel, Nextory etc. in Europe) are a must, thus I'd never go for RM2.

Same. Library apps like Libby and Hoopla here in the US are why I went with Boox tablets in general.

I will say I got it about a year ago, before some of these were options, but I do love my Boox Tab Mini C. It being compact was very important, it fits in my purse, I use it both at home and while teaching, and while I would appreciate a larger size device to write on, that portability is key. Plus many of my notes do lend themselves well to smaller screen. I'm taking a lot of notes as a history teacher, and I'm still improving my German while learning Spanish, and it has largely replaced post its, and index cards for me. I do take notes of meetings, trainings, etc. for work and I kind of wish it was bigger for that, but again I can show up with just my purse and have the Mini C in there, without carrying an extra bag dedicated to something large like a laptop or a larger e-reader. I am considering upgrading to a Note 4C or Go 10.3 but I might just wait for the Note Max for my own research and note taking as the Mini C's split screen is really tiny. I'm torn, as a Go 10.3 is almost as big and a lot cheaper, I'll probably be around other devices if I really need the extra functionality, but I've been doing research in preparation of a writing project and indulging on the Max might make that process a bit more comfortable.

I have an RM2 and a Scribe and I've been leaning towards the scribe more and more: better battery, backlight to make it usable in all lighting conditions, the kindle app built in for reading, it's also a bit snappier than the RM2 and I like the first party vertical stand - there are some points of resistance such as no quick drawer so it's more taps to nativate, you can't duplicate a page in your PDF (e.g. if you have a journal template PDF), you can't access your annotations without manually exporting (though they are backed up in the cloud), but considering it's half the price and has notable advantages, it's quite compelling. The upcoming kindle scribe software looks like it will address a lot of complaints too.

I had the scribe and was about to go all in. Had pdf I need to fill out, print then send off. When I exported it from the scribe, it looked like a drawing done in paint from windows 95.
So I purchased the RM Pro, I haven’t looked back since except to return the Scribe.

I've been using my Paper Pro a lot; yesterday I almost went through a full charge in fact as I was writing up notes. It's amazing - love the backlight, the colours etc BUT it's big and heavy. I haven't taken out my Rem 1 for a while now & yesterday I did so I could work on both. It was like meeting an old friend; it's perfect! So light, a slightly smaller size and the pen feels better (I have the black one). The screen is better too - I much prefer the whiter hue to the Pro's darker screen.
That said, in the evening I was reading a book on the Pro in the dark.
Horses for courses I think. Both are really good - to lose one on head, it would be Rem 1 but to lose one on heart, it would be the Pro. They really knocked it out of the park with Rem 1.

One thing that is cool is the remarkable paper pro has usable zooming in and out for mind maps, I would be willing to move to the go if its ghosting has improved over older models, and can you actually zoom in and out with notes? Or does it have like max 2 pages in one, there's no 'scrolling' vertically like RPP?

Can you write and screen share using the Zoom app on the Boox 10.3 in real time? How is the experience?

Hey Kit. Thanks for answering my question. I agree with you on the email. What I don't agree on is with digests.
Remarkable claim to be a 0 distraction device and best for note taking. I used to have a Remarkable 2 and moved to the nomad for one simple reason: when I read books and take notes on the remarkable. I then have to go back through all of the pages to find my notes. There is no way for me to gather all my notes at a simple place along with the original text. This decreases thinking on a large scale.

      @KitBetts-Masters  Месяц назад +1

@@marioserodotou2958 yeah, agree so much re: digest. They really don't have competitive reading features! And just the two formats, it's no where near good enough. Thanks for understanding, answering live like that I haven't given my fullest thought out response!

Lose the Boox case that comes with the 10.3 and get the OVERPRICED rM2 slip case (I already had it) and now you have the best case on the best eink tablet

Thank you for this video. I am convinced I dont want the Go 10.3 now. It seems to be a great device, but I dont need all of that functionality. It seems that an A5X2 would be the perfect middle.

Hello there! There wasn't any big discounts in black friday in the Boox store. Does Boox usually do christmas discounts, or discounts at all? For my uses, I was really looking to the Boox air 4c but it goes slightly out of budget :(
As an alternative I was also looking at Supernote's A5X successor, but I don't know how much longer that one should take to come out

Hey Kit - new E-Ink user here :)
I’m currently AB testing the rMPP and the Boox Go 10.3. Enjoying both, but conscious of the ticking clock for the 100 day returns policy.
Do you have any experience in integrating Boox into a Google Workspace workflow? In an ideal world, I could quickly convert handwritten meeting notes to text and sync with the Google Drive to copy into our CRM.
Regardless, thanks so much for your informative and enjoyable videos!

    Hi KitBetts-Masters,
Let me start by saying that I love your content.thank you very much for all the great videos and the reviews you put out there.
I actually bought a Boox go 10.3 after listening into your videos and My deep guide and I love it and has been using it for a while.
    Just one quick question:
What would you say is a good E-ink Center setting for Boox Go 10.3 when using OneNote for note taking.
I don’t know why but sometimes it does not flash when writing and sometimes it does.
The flashing is really annoying and probably why I did not go for the RP Pro.
    Thanks!

So you're saying that if you was showing how e-ink worked with say... spreadsheets, Google Docs or Social Media on your broadcasts; you wouldn't use the reMarkable?

I believe the next Remarkable device will be released sooner than expected, possibly in February or March. It will likely be black and white with a faster processor. The company urgently needs such a device to remain relevant.

I would also like to see improvements on the software side. In my opinion, the Scribe, SN, and Boox are outpacing RM. I'm not suggesting we need to add more apps like Boox, but even for basic writing and reading, RM's software is feeling quite outdated. And please give us kindle app (the sales will double)!

According to the Amazon page for the remarkable paper pro, they sold over 2,000 units. That is over $1.1 million dollars in a single month off paper pro sales, and on Amazon Alone. All their ads don't go to Amazon, they go to their direct site, so we can imagine they are pulling much, much more sales.
A million bucks a month off Amazon alone doesn't exactly speak "desperately needs something new" do you have data or evidence to back up this claim?
I own the Boox go 10.3 and the rm paper pro, and they are both fantastic, but the paper pro is just on its own class. Maybe you like the Toyota supra, but others prefer BMW for their flawless build quality. The rm pro is simply the best premium build quality, paper feeling, color, etc... It's so damn good, it feels so damn gopd to write on. They've knocked it out of the park with this one and their sales prove it.
