Holy shit your professor-ness needs to be applied to every single pcu/tech breakdown in the universe. I've never seen things explained like this before and it's beyond fantastic.
My dude, great video comparison. One thing that jumped out at me, and it was very surprising actually, was how ASMR the writing sound samples were. Like for real dude. You could be making videos of just that on repeat, and I'd be down for that. So soothing and relaxing.
I can relate to that. There are so many sounds that people make ASMR on that totally catch me off guard too. Like a hidden realm you didn't know was there. I get it. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video! Props to scientist Prof Rod with back scratcher pointer and Jeffrey Moss battery specialist cameo 😎 It was all great, but reeeally liked the text and line close ups and color comparisons. Lotta work there!!
Amazing review! Ijust hate when reviewers say "It depends". That says absolutely nothing. What's the battery life on different use cases with different settings? You can have a very simple table to illustrate the ranges and dedicate 10 seconds to go through it. Having a nice bloke saying "it depends" it's very frustrating. Cheers! :)
Thanks! I agree on the battery aspect, which is why I mentioned, and linked to his review where he does exactly what you mentioned here, and more. Cheers!🍻
Thank you for showing all of these details. I did have a question about the Paper Pro when you displayed the color sheet. Is there a line going down the screen or was that lighting?
Because, everyone says PPI (pixels per inch), when it should actually be DPI (dots per inch). There aren't any pixels in eInk tablets just pigment capsules that should be measured the same way newspaper printing refers to their resolution... DPI. Hope this helps and thx for the comment:)
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.... Yoooo, let me live bro, lol. If I wanna live in an alternate reality where its not "quite" orange, I think we can let that fly.🍊😂
Noticed alot of screen movement on the 4c during your writing experience section. Screen bouncing up and down as you put pressure on it. That seems super annoying to me, does that happen on the RM pro?
Hello, and no that doesn't happen on the rMPP. The screens glass is a but more robust. It really isn't something I notice at all while writing tmh. Looking at it though, yea it does look annoying, lol. Thanks for stopping by.
If you mean moving on the supporting surface, there is a product developed by Rants About Tech and currently in beta testing intended to alleviate this problem. Stay tuned. They will probably be available before the A5X2.
@@trudgyhdI think it’s because it’s a soft screen for paper like feel and the front light creates more space between the glass and the screen behind it. It’s not something you notice while writing on it tho
Hold up! WHAT CERAMIC NIB IS THAT! and I went with the note air 4 c. The color played a big role for how I take my notes. The device does more than what I need but the thing is pretty bad ass. I would really like to know what nib that is tho
Oh and this is a great video by the way! I do most comments while the video is going 😂 but my biggest gripe so far is the placement of the charger. I’d rather it be at the bottom but I may make a hole in my case for it in the future
Hello, the nib I'm using is a ceramic Supernote Ceramic nib that I custom made for the LAMY stylus I'm using. I have a video outlining the process here: ruclips.net/video/RvWJtr8f6f4/видео.html If the process isn't your cup of tea, I do sell them on my site: www.rantsabouttech.com Good luck and lemme know if I can help.✌🏾
It doesn't have a fuzzy screen in person. I think you might be referring to the matte writing surface, which is extremely pleasant, both visually and to the touch. It makes it more like looking at paper than any other device I've used.
@@VidMashUp It absolutely does, its the pattern by the Kaleidoscope 3 technology. You can see diagonal lines across the screen and so the grey background of the screen isnt greay but really has a glittery rainbow pattern.
@25:20 - maximum size is 2GB for a card, maybe you meant 2TB, great review none the less!
Yup TB lol. Good call. Thanks!
Pinned this comment for everyone else watching. Thanks again.

That comment was beyond fantastic. Thanks🙂
I tested it on the livestream crew first. They got me right.
Great video, masterclass in editing. I definitely need to up my game. The cameo by Jeffrey was great. Hat tip to Professor Rod, welcome to the club.
I'm so tired of these erratic comments. Thanks Ed. Jeff's cameo was so awesome. Glad he could do it.
@@rantsabouttechnology erratic comments? With me as a friend, you have to expect a little chaos. 🤣

Absolutely was work Nizoni, but I had fun. I would do the test anyway for my own fun, and edification, though, lol.
Thanks for the comment :)
Wow, the videos get better and better. I love that it raises the standards in the e-ink review world.
It's an arms race Lau, lol 😂
Thanks for the comment :)
Great in depth review and I am digging Professor Rod's glasses. Great deep dive on the differences in the colors of the displays.
Thanks Doc. Was hoping that would be helpful.

Thank you very much. Great review

Hello that was a line. It developed as I was writing one day and stayed there. Looking into getting a replacement now.
The RMPP is prone to hardware issues.
@VidMashUp
I'm seeing that now. Gonna give it one more go.
@@rantsabouttechnology I understand. Thank you for the reply and I hope that the replacement is better for you sir.
@@rantsabouttechnologyno way! The rmpp is riddled with problems. I'm happy I returned both I tried.
Nice comparison!
Thanks!!
I LOVE THIS REVIEW!!!!!
That's what's up Mike!!! Appreciated bro!
Thumbs up for Professor Rod!
Lol, might have to make him a regular :)
Thanks for the comment!
Noooooo not the Xmas music!
>.< Whaaaa?! I waited till after Thanksgiving at least🙂
@@rantsabouttechnology I can't listen to it ever. It's worse than country music 😂
😂
LMAO!!!
The Note Air 3C is better than the Note Air 4 C just because of the 🍊 Orange Logo. Enough said.😅
Just, and ONLY because it's got🍊 SMH lol
At least they retained the orange stripes.
😂
I hate how the RM pro black writing is actually dark blue.
Same. It only truly bothers me at certain times, but when it does...😡
instant follow!
Right On! Thanks!

Roderick, that's confirmation bias. You WANT it to be less orange, but objectively, its slightly more orange and a wee bit beighter.

I think this color is more tangerine than orange 😂

Good point, I'm not a fan of the placement either. I prefer the charging port to be at the top.
@@rantsabouttechnology you do a good job with these reviews. I’ll happily support and purchase them through you.
@@rantsabouttechnology yep but looking on Amazon some cases seem to come with a hole for the charging port which is nice
Which means we going toward 20nm proc ?
Nope, maybe 4. Apple is using a 3nm process currently in their chips.
