    Came back to this video to try out your resampling technique using Amigo now that 2.0 is live.
    For anyone using Ableton:
    I highly recommend the Slink LFO and Slink Filter max 4 live devices. They're very powerful for quickly generating automation movements by mapping the LFO slots to various values of Amigo as well as any FX plugins you put in the chain. Because they're based on multiplying sine waves, you can get a sweet spot between randomness and repetition I think sounds more human than pure random automation. If you place the slink filter before whatever delay fx you're using, it'll produce alien Krell style sounds by controlling what part of the frequency is delayed.
    Much love.

    Awesome work as always man!
    And while the animations and all that certainly look cool, I can only imagine the work that goes in to them. So I wouldn't be feeling bad about dropping the amount of effort on that side of things if it meant more time for the music-making side of things!
    On the flip-side, if it's something you enjoy doing (and of course it's a bit of a USP for your channel at this point), I can see how it might be nice to break out into other creative areas other than just the music making.
    Keep up the great work!

    • @groovining
      @groovining  3 месяца назад +1

      Cheers Mick - yea for sure, I've just been trying to find the right balance with everything. I will always add little things here and there and keep the edits nice a clean but sometimes I get a bit carried away with it all!
      I've got plans for a super polished music course i've been working on for a while, also thinking about setting up a gaming focused RUclips channel to run alongside this one as it's such a big market. Even though I don't really play much anymore I have lots of ideas for cool animated video's in that world.
      I love the music & working on this channel but its very niche so just trying to put it all together really & build a steady career from it all. ✌️😊

    • @_mickmccarthy
      @_mickmccarthy 3 месяца назад

      @@groovining Cool! Looking forward to see what comes of the plans for the music course, I'd absolutely be interested in that!
      I can also imagine that as this becomes more and more of a job, the creative joy around making music could be tricky to sustain so I can absolutely see the desire to branch out into other creative areas too.
      Keep up the awesome work man, I can always rely on this channel to provide some awesome material!

    • @groovining
      @groovining  3 месяца назад

      Thanks about the channel! Great to hear you'd be interested in the course, it will probably be a few months still as it's one of those things I really want to nail.
      Yea for sure, I think we all struggle with creative energy from time to time especially in a process like making music & RUclips vids. Interestingly, I actually love the creative stage of the projects & doing the productions, ideas and themes etc. Just the bringing it all to life part where you sometimes get a bit stuck in the mud! I think a lot of things are like that really :)

    This is a brilliant video!!! I would honestly love to see another one similar to this. I remember I was searching for tips on how to make lush pads and so many videos were sending me to buy some expensive plugins or use some expensive DAW for their effects, so at some point I decided to follow one of them, but I just copied the technique. I took a basic mono saw wave and wanted to see how far I can get with just effects and it's crazy how much you can do with layering, resampling and even stock basic effects if you just keep repeating the process. I think if you can make lush sounds with even more basic sounds you would inspire even more people. Thanks for this.

    • @groovining
      @groovining  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks mate :) Yea there's a lot of more complicated techniques out there but achieving great results simply is often the best way to go. Another technique I love is layering multiple pad samples together which could be a great one for future vids. Big ups 😊✌️
