Jason, I'm about to do this same thing! Thank you again for showing me how it's done. I appreciate all your videos.

I hope it helps. I know some if this stuff is boring to most but it is definately part of the restoration. Thanks for watching.

Too cool. I will be going with an NV3550 when I eventually get to that point. I used some blocks of wood as temporary body mounts while I cleaned the frame. My solid column bound up tight as a drum. Nice to know that a collapsible column is out there somewhere!

Rob our next one will be a 5 speed too. Although we already have a ZFS 5 speed and adapter for a dana 20 to install in it. Jonie wanted an automatic in this one.

What length column are you using.

Doug, I am not sure of the over all length. The column is out of a 75 Bronco with automatic transmission I believe.

Not sure but the indicator spacing on the AOD may be different than the C4 indicator (PRD21) spacing.

Mike I have spoken with a few folks who have made the conversion and you are correct the needle won't be perfectly aligned but will be close. Thanks for pointing that out. I should have mentioned it. I will address it when we rebuild it in a few weeks.

Your welcome and when you were talking about couldn't find a replacement part, I thought of C&G Ford parts because when I lived the next city over in San Marcos that's where my parents and went for parts for our 56 F100 and my friend for his 52 Customline and might sound strange but I adapted some parts for my 63 International Scout.

Not sure what year your column is but I have seen these bearings for the later years. The lower bearing.
