13 years before the movie opens, there was a dinner party, at which the 13th guest failed to show up. The master of the manner has died, and left the bulk of his estate to this 13th guest, but nobody knows who that is. Now someone is murdering the remaining guests, and placing their dead bodies at the table, in the same seat they had occupied 13 years before
My family thinks I am werid because I 90percent watch black a d white movie’s especially GingerRogers and Fred Astaire and the A list actors . But then I will watch not so famous actors and 1930s movies and 40s and 50s. I just love the scripts and attitudes. I sometimes wish I had been back there 😂
I enjoy so much the 30/40 moovies. This one is a little gem and Ginger is the icing on the cake
Back in the day when you could just pick up a stylish looking phone and speak to a human being.📞 Now,.. I hate my touch screen & getting robot voice spam calls. 📱
One of the greats; such a wonderful classic :-)
Thanks for Sharing from Betty.. London UK
a conversation about cutting throats but no cursing so this is all good in the morals department.
the open talk about spanking a grown woman is just wholesome as the day is long. 😂
"Quick, look at the car. It's gone!" Priceless - and what about "Well, ya told me to tail her." Risque or what! That film was so screwy it was brilliant.
Ginger!
*I hope it's tea instead of another murder*
The mad laugh...
Thanks for posting.
I love this movie 🎥 it’s so funny 😂. The detective making that noise and the way he ran out of this house a d his falling over the books and just the silly reactions to the laugh and his face when he opened the front door of the house! Funny 😁 funny
"Shocking" but hilarious. Ginger deserved an oscar for appearing with this "rabble". Director - Albert Ray, was this his one and only movie?
About 75 movies. TCM gives him high marks; calls him " compelling"! As for rabble yes the cast is full of unknowns though Gene Palette was a VERY big star, at Paramount no less. Some say Paramount was the best movie maker in the box because they had Warner's snappy realism, but also MGM's gloss ( and money!) His career had just started to fade , a little, when he made this picture.
Awesome 👌
Oh these stero-types are just nauseating but I still watched it.- the second time round! Help!
Carolle Enkelmann, I came to leave the somewhat same comment. I saw this long ago, saw it here and said, you know, That was on ongoing who dunnit I could not get a clue but the carrying on and one liners were interesting and amusing. No Help here for you Carolle :D
@@shirleysavitts9647 but the ladder is standing behind me: share and share alike I say, she said smiling.
Ginger ginger ginger can't get enough of ginger
2:58 "I'm sorreeee." - That operator really deserves a credit. Unfortunately she's not even listed on IMDB.
I hate it when they make the leading man (Vincent) a smart ass and that’s supposed to be appealing. I thought he was condescending and hugely annoying. Still an enjoyable film though.
I think the word you're looking for is repulsive.
Really good movie, interesting plot, couldn't take my eyes of the screen from beginning till the end. Still couldn't figure out why there were only 7 members of the family while 1 was imposter, meaning there were 6. What's happened to 2 other / besides 3 dead and crazy killer uncle/?
Love this 🎥😉
This movie should've been titled,"Abbott and Costello meet Laurel and Hardy".
I was expecting to hear the "Three Stooges" theme music at the end.
Thought it was a cheesy title but then I got hooked.
I have always thought the same about cheesy movie titles. And the quality of the movie that goes along with the cheesy name. lol. But like you I am usually pleasantly surprised by how good it is! lol😁👌
I love the upper society behavior they are so enjoyable! They attitudes and clip statements! The “upper crust’. Hey Mike take a look at the “400”. And see if they are al there!” Too much!😂😅😂😅😅😂😂😂
Grump cracks me up
@22:50 look at the covered chair mid screen . You can clearly make out a mans face on the lighted part of the sheet . I've always had a big crush on Ginger Rodgers . She's a cutie pie 🥰
💚
"You told me to tail her", and his shoes are on the wrong feet. Sexual inuendo?
7:10 did he just call him a dumbmass.
Yes ... even the closed captioning captured that. 😏
I wish I’d seen this movie before I married into a screwy family.
It was like watching an episode of “In-Law and Order”
This is a very good movie they do make. Them like this any more 😂 Muriel
"In-law and Dis-order"
PizzaFlix......you need to fix your intro. "the master of the manner" should be the master of the Manor.
everyone in the picture gets murdered except the camera man!
oh great carol tenge now i don't need to watch it
@@crazyduck1254 Yes, you do ..
He's next.
And he's next.
