Possible PICC Line Infection. To the Emergency Department. Contact Dermatitis from PICC Line

For the last few weeks, my PICC line insertion site has been hurting and there was a red itchy area which was either contact dermatitis or an infection. Since it takes a few weeks to get in to see the PICC line nurse in interventional radiology, it was decided I should go to the emergency department to get a new PICC line to prevent the irritated PICC line area from possibly causing an infection. #godismystrength #dermatitis #infection

My PICC line got blocked, home nurse should have sent me to get it unblocked.....instead I ended up getting a blood clot! Had to be on blood thinners for 3 months & PICC line had to be moved to other arm. I had Septic Arthtitis in hospital for 3 weeks & 3 more months on antibiotics....I almost died! Just wanted to comment on the PICC line situation since you went through it. Wishing you healthy days ahead.

@@zzzoo2 Ok. I do keep in mind what or how much I show. YT scans all videos. If videos are deemed too graphic, they get blocked from the general public. I had a video a long time ago get blocked. i had to re-edit the video to get it published.
