I just got one of these machines. When it’s plugged in the red light comes on but it doesn’t heat up when I press the button. I have pulled the plate out and reput in. Nothing no heat
Hi Brenda, Dies or hotfoil stamp is face up, as you need to heat them up first, then once heated the foil and cardstock is then placed on top. Happy Crafting.
@@AlphaGeekgirl Hi Debi, If you lid of your GoPress&Foil has the grid pattern printed on it, makes it easier to line up. Please email salesteam@couturecreations.com.au for any further information need.
So say I wanted to foil an A4 piece of card, will the carrier from the foiling machine crease the card at the edges when it goes through my die cutting machine?
Hi Nicola, the hot plate on the machine is approximately 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" so an A4 piece of paper is too large for the base plate. The rolls of foil are also approximately 5" wide.
Hi Katya, Heidi Swapp foil is Toner reactive, which is slightly different to that of the foil needed for the GoPress & Foil Machine which needs to be heat activated. Couture Creations has 72 different colours available in our heat activated foil. couturecreations.com.au/search?type=product&type=product&q=heat+activated+foil Thanks.
When and where is this machine coming into the market beside HSN? I live in Canada and would like to know where i can buy beside HSN which does not deliver to Canada.
If you try this link, www.multicrafts.com, they may be able to assist in advising which store close to you will stock the item or able to get one in for you.
Hi Liz, The Gemini Junior does not have a mouth deep enough for the GoPress and Foil to fit into it - so no you can’t use it with the GoPress and Foil Machine. Thanks
Your website mentions you can use embossing folders with this. Do you have a video showing this? I'd like to see how it is done. I am a visual learner and would rather watch, listen & learn than read, try & hope not to fail. TIA!
Hi Debbie, unfortunately the plate will not go through the Gemini machine. The 'mouth' of your machine needs to be minimum 6" wide and 1" thick for the plate to move through.
Yes the machine is compatible and works with the Cut N Boss, I have attached an image of the plate configuration. You need to have the plates on top of the heating platform as the trigger sensors on the Cut N Boss are on the top side of the opening to the rollers. Place your mats as follows: Bottom is the GoPress and Foil platform followed by two of your A plates followed with a B plate on top. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.
i have been watching all the tutorials on RUclips and they refer to the metal shim that come with the machine There was no shim with my machine. do I need this to use with my Bigshot and my thin metal dies?
Hi Daphne, the video is a little confusing. The shim actually comes with the GoCut and Emboss machine not the foiling machine. They are a pretty standard item and should be able to be purchased at your nearest papercrafting store.
Daphne it will depend what you are foiling. I use the metal shim to generate a higher heat for foiling wood veneer or chipboard. Other than that if you need more pressure I keep a stack of 'old' pieces of cardstock that I use as shim for other items. Each machine will have a different pressure between the rollers so the shims come in handy. It is a bit of trial and error but when you have it all worked out it is fantastic to create with. Here is a link to help you on your way. www.couturecreations.com.au/gopress-foil-machine
Anita Enright Thankyou Anita, for all your help. I thought I may have needed the metal shim for my own dies so they don't cut through the lid of my foiling machine.
Good to see you Kerrie

Good job!
Will this work with a cuttlebug ??
Love your tips and bits on this tutorial, was very helpful... Thank you
Thank you
What is shimmer them. Do u add extra cardstock
Hi Priscilla, a shim is just an extra piece of cardstock. Hope this helps.
I was just wondering which way you place the dies on the go and foil. Cutting side down?

Hi Lisa,
I will check for you and get it loaded if we have one.
will it work on acetate and vellum?
Yes it will.
great havent had time to try that!
Could you tell me please if I can use this with my Gemini machine from crafters companion

Thank you for your advice I will just have to save up for a cuttlebug x
Can you please note :- It dose not work with the cut'nboss electronic machine and I don't have a manual machine.

Is this machine compatible with the ebosser?
Hi Margaret, yes it is. You would need to put our base plate from the GoPress and Foil down then two of your B plates followed by 1 A plate.
Quick question- I mistakenly bought the foil for this machine and am wondering if I can use it in the Minc?
Hi Shelly! Sorry for the delay.. Unfortunately our Heat Activated Foils will not work as a substitute for Toner Activated Foils
Can you use mine foil with this
Sonal Jethwa need hot foil heidi swapp minc foil does not work neither does thermoweb
