- Hi everyone, in this video i want to show you how i transform broken laptop into a Cool Art Desktop PC. The reason why i made this laptop. I want to show you some different how to transform laptop into a functional desktop computer and I got inspired from my favorite Star Wars moves.
I have no experience about wood carving, even i'm not art maker, sometimes while carving i have no idea what to do next 😀 but i made it. However, isn't impossible, if you want to make something different and unique just give a shoot and you will make it 😊.
The PC Specs: i3 CPU ( upgrade to i5 soon ), 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GT310M 1GB GPU and 320GB HDD.
Is not the best but is good for basic stuff, some games, ethernet, music, media center. And is nice looking Decor for my Room 😀

This PC case looks extremely nice and different!
It does look like a little weird with the looks of a monitor but without the built in screen, might take time a while to adjust to such an unusual type of design layout.
Perhaps it´s just my own taste but the mesh should be black instead of white to blend into the dark tone of the painted wood even more to keep in one.
I used white mesh because to have some contrast, but with the black bash will be better, you are right. btw i will change it :D

How do you configure a laptop to display via external monitor by default whenever the screen is already broken?? My laptop screen, bezel and back cover are gone like yours but mine will not display to ext monitor…

I need to find some of those screws that will bite into wood and provide a receiving hole for machine screws to screw into... So basically I have my laptop apart and my board I plan to mount it to, but that's all still.

Wow... I was gonna dislike the video because of the repetitive anoying music but... When I saw the final job I *had* to press the like button.
Your wood work was insane! Also, the back part of it looks like a desert after you "stained" it (is this the word?) wich made it look cooler. If it was me I would even *try* to place the spaceship on another position so it would like it was hovering over it, but it looks great already.
Now even I want one of these. And I dont even like star wars. Its just... Wow.

Also i done the spaceship because to cover the cooling hole, right behind the spaceship is the cpu and the gpu chip and i need more fresh air to cool down the laptop. Hi, you can place hdd from any laptop to any laptop, just is recommended to reinstall windows because of base settings, drivers and other basic things

hi, i have almost the same model as the video (i7, 4 gigs ram ...). I have the problem of high temperatures: I tried to replace the thermal paste, clean the cooling fan but the laptop continues to be really hot. Could it be the chipset that heats up? I wouldn't want to turn my laptop into a desktop 😅 (my laptop runs with Windows 7)
