@@AlfieFenton you spend two seasons on trot in championship and your crowd dropped 25%. Be there as long as us over the years and all you Stafford and cannock fans wil be gone.
Taking bias out of it, this derby has the potential to be massive. 2nd city with 1 million population and only 2 clubs in the city yet modern football and wank owners has ruined it. City is now full of gloryhunters and it’s a shame. Both have massive potential.
The championship is much better for crowd atmospheres and less of the gloryhunters. I'd say anyone at the game supporting a championship club isn't a gloryseeker, that's more the Man U and Chelsea fans. Or the new Leicester fans or whatever.

The Top 6 "derbies" for me are just too plastic and I get that there are some proper fans who are properly passionate about it but I just feel that on the whole the passion and hatred doesn't even come close to the Birmingham Derby. No real battle as such. Thomas Holte sold off a massive part of his estate which became B-ham. We then had two teams, First Aston Villa 1874 who went on to be the first real super power club and created History. First they invented the Football league, followed by the first turnstiles, programs, floodlights and many more. Small Heath 1875 a local park team and a couple of trophy's in its entire history. The club once stated along with the villa that neither club would take the name of the city (similar to London), however to gain more support they went back on that promise and changed it in the 1960. Aston Villa supporters always call them Small Heath and do not acknowledge the 1960s name change. Villa play at the world renowned 43000 stadium Known as Villa Park, small heath play at the pig sty.
Hopefully, when Wolves and Villa are back in the prem the blues can get their act together and try go up too. The second city derby should be a top flight fixture and so should the Baggies Wolves game

Fans get butt hurt and immediately type in "Premiership Results", to see if they can console themselves , hoping desperately that Villa have lost too And if Villa have lost, somehow the Blues defeat is now a victory - of sorts, and their little bottoms are no longer sore.
I live in Birmingham right by the ground and you can literally hear them roar the fans have it it’s a big shame they have shit owners and don’t know to do buisness were as villa do and look where they are now!
Been to both with United many many times started in the 70s both got a real hardcore fan base and some tasty lads in their respected firms total respect for them both for me and a lot of United from Manchester it ends in Birmingham after that nothing for all the southern gobshites. MUFC
That Villa saying the city is blurred lol. Definitely more Blues in Birmingham than Villa, shit ton of their fans live in areas around us like Bromsgrove.
ElsBells fuck off is there. Let’s be honest you’ve only got like 35000 fans all round. We have more fans everywhere than you except small Heath. You’re a small club just admit it.
“Shame the club that carries the name of the city haven’t brought any success in the past years” because villa didn’t embarrass themselves at Wembley did they?
Miles Mckie coming from a neutral all I can say is at least Villa got to Wembley. Looking at the history and current situations of both clubs only draws one conclusion: Villa are the bigger club and the more worthy team to represent Birmingham. Blues are a smaller club, with poor support in the city and surrounding areas. Just accept that you're in Villa's shadow and need to prove yourselves as a club before you can comment.
Back in the day being a blues fan follow be my dad's footsteps there was a lot of rivalry and hatred I couldn't care less anymore I'm 55 now I just accept people for who they are regardless of whatever football team they support One Love
I'm a Brummie (but a Norwich from) & Birmingham are sort of my second team... And I know how vicious & important this derby is to the fans, however copa90 should do a documentary on Norwich Ipswich derby, as the hatred is stronger & it's recent history is even more intense & fascinating.
The most hostile game in English football and this is all you could come up with? Don't know where you got these people from, a real half arsed effort to talk about a derby that is known for violence and hatred. Only good bit was AR towards the end. No mention of Rocky Lane? The Dion Dublin headbutt game and the aftermath? The Carling Cup semi final? Digbeth last year? Etc etc.
There was more recorded than what made the edit, I talked about things such as the Carling Cup quarter final and the derbies in the early 00's which were a lot more feirce. I think they might save that stuff for if they make a proper 'derby days' on it. I think this video was made as more of a light-hearted version, with less of a view on the violence - though it is definitely a huge part of it. KRO.
i live like 5 mins walk from the blues ground up you blues but tbh they both should be in the perm like the old days because birmingham is the 2nd biggest city in england and the teams should be representing in the premier league
When u don’t have money in a club your not going no where look at man city in 2002 they where shit now there too of the league since they have been pumped with money
Used to live in Perry Barr, 10 minutes walk from Villa Park. Now living in SW London. Birmingham is the most criminal city in the UK. If you are not local , avoid it....
Cov 😂😂😂😂😂 Be 20 years this this season since we put you twats down where you belong...seem to recall you getting turned over by Forest Green in the not too distant past 😂😂😂 Not only that but you don't even have your own ground. Not sure which genius thought buddying up with Blues was the best option, surely Solihull Moors have a capacity more suited to your shit fanbase
Look, villa maybe in the championship currently but we have far better chance of going back up than the blues. It just boils down to our history and resources we currently have. However, i would like it very much for both blues and villa to play in each other in the premier league. There is no bigger stage to show our rivalry :)
Blues are Villa's neighbours, not their rivals. Villa's local rivals are probably West Brom but that doesn't stop Blues fans obsessing about Villa. If only they showed such interest in their own club.
@@alexjackson1050 learn to read before you call people Muppets. That way you'll avoid people assuming you're just a thick twat. For the record, Albion have historically been Villa's local rivals. The Rags were always irrelevant.
Villa fans come from north Birmingham- Sutton, Kingstanding, Erdington There's a map somewhere online of where Villa season tickets are from- everywhere in the city besides Small Heath
Blues1875 proves that Villa are a bigger club when people will actually travel to go watch them. They have prestige. Why would you support Birmingham city unless you were born right next to that shithole St Andrews?
Wrong actually we have more fans inside Brum as we are the first club if Birmingham, Aston basically got the glory hunters outside of Brum from the successful years. Yes of course it's changed a lot now with both fans mixing and obviously the influx of immigration into the city has had a big impact. Blues now have fans who live outside the city too. Solihull is a majority Blue area and counts technically as not part of Birmingham while Tamworth is a big Villa area.
Didn't the authorities end this fixture permanently from an evening start? All the derbies are now lunch time kick offs because of all the pissed up violence. It's a classic city rivalry. Wolves and West Brom try to involve themselves but neither club mean anything to Villa and Blues fans. It's Villa V Blues. Nothing else matters. VILLA VILLA VILLLLLLAAAAAAAA😃
Birmingham aren't a big club but at least Birmingham fans under the age of 40 have the memory of winning a major trophy. If there's any set of fans stuck in the past it's Aston Villa fans.
@@Callum0715 What? You mean the Championship Play-off Final trophy? Come on now, don't take the piss. That's stretching the definition of 'major trophy' a bit far don't you think?
@@Anu_Sol Might wanna check your dates on that one.....unless I imagined being at Wembley to see Villa win the League Cup in 1996. Sorry to be trivial, I understand the point that it's still a bloody long time ago, but fact is Villa have won something in the last 25 seasons. And they've had four final appearances since then as well. I get that counts for little if you lose, but it at least shows a pedigree to get there
@AmericanVillaFan here -In looking forward to a good game tomorrow. Thanks #Copa90 for this vid! Pablo true, very true. I should have done a better job of expressing that I would like it to be a consistent thing. A kin to the north London Derby between Tottenham and Arsenal; a year in year out thing at the highest level.
The Sikh guy has wrapped his turban on too tight because he thinks that both clubs are on a par for the last 15 years. Bollocks! Villa even in the Championship alongside Blues are miles better.
Not even a rivalry. Noses have won 2 trophies in their 140 odd years of existence. Poor excuse for a football club, shit ground. No 2nd city derbies for a long time, Villa are going to get Champions League and Noses are going to League one. 2 seasons time they'll have a derby again, against Walsall in League 2.

Tbh, I think blues are looking better in the future, Very young manager in Garry Monk, and a young team with a great academy. Yeah Villa might be better now and have more fans and a bigger stadium and can attract bigger and better players but our time will come. All blues have been through it we need a time where we build a team, all the youngsters coming through, but also attracting having players such as Jota and Harlee Dean shows we are also a big club. When St.Andrews is full, It’s a fortress, such as last Sunday vs Fulham. Unbeaten in 23 and they turn up to our place and get well and truly beaten over the 90. Hopefully next season we sign a few good players and hold onto Jota, Wes Harding, Harlee Dean and Che Adams and build the squad around them and things will start the look up. KRO!

I live in Birmingham right by the ground and you can literally hear them roar the fans have it it’s a big shame they have shit owners and don’t know to do buisness were as villa do and look where they are now!
Wait, you're telling me Birmingham City is a real team?
@@TheDrunkenDragon finally someone says something true without being called something about the past

best derby in england without the exception of the top 6
this derby is more fierce than any top 6 derby imo
I'm a Brummie (but a Norwich from) & Birmingham are sort of my second team... And I know how vicious & important this derby is to the fans, however copa90 should do a documentary on Norwich Ipswich derby, as the hatred is stronger & it's recent history is even more intense & fascinating.
“Sort of my second team” says it all
Second team 🤦♂️
The most hostile game in English football and this is all you could come up with? Don't know where you got these people from, a real half arsed effort to talk about a derby that is known for violence and hatred. Only good bit was AR towards the end. No mention of Rocky Lane? The Dion Dublin headbutt game and the aftermath? The Carling Cup semi final? Digbeth last year? Etc etc.
i see where your coming from, but i dont watch football for the fights. Though they should of mentioned how heated it can be.
Easy tough guy
What a helmet
There was more recorded than what made the edit, I talked about things such as the Carling Cup quarter final and the derbies in the early 00's which were a lot more feirce. I think they might save that stuff for if they make a proper 'derby days' on it.
I think this video was made as more of a light-hearted version, with less of a view on the violence - though it is definitely a huge part of it.
KRO.

i live like 5 mins walk from the blues ground up you blues but tbh they both should be in the perm like the old days because birmingham is the 2nd biggest city in england and the teams should be representing in the premier league
booooooo!!! blues fans best fans and the blues and zulus will be back in the perm one day
When u don’t have money in a club your not going no where look at man city in 2002 they where shit now there too of the league since they have been pumped with money
Coaches from the Villa.... funny that how blues always turn up on coaches too.... prat
Mate I know that guy and he's the biggest coward you'll meet...
Proper, just about to write the same. Nose is a muppet
I'd side with Villa purely because my dad nearly got in as a center back in the late 90s but failed the medical test thing because he had asthma.
he could play for liverpool now
This channel is AWESOME
they're called blue noses because it gets cold being in the shadow of Aston Villa
Used to live in Perry Barr, 10 minutes walk from Villa Park. Now living in SW London. Birmingham is the most criminal city in the UK. If you are not local , avoid it....

No one cares about you. You're a Coventry fan ffs

Be 20 years this this season since we put you twats down where you belong...seem to recall you getting turned over by Forest Green in the not too distant past 😂😂😂
Not only that but you don't even have your own ground. Not sure which genius thought buddying up with Blues was the best option, surely Solihull Moors have a capacity more suited to your shit fanbase
What is the violin piece going in the 0:30 mark?
Second rate is a great way to describe Birmingham city
Look, villa maybe in the championship currently but we have far better chance of going back up than the blues. It just boils down to our history and resources we currently have. However, i would like it very much for both blues and villa to play in each other in the premier league. There is no bigger stage to show our rivalry :)
Villa are now in the UCL
I miss Birmingham ... 😔
Better attendances, better away fans, better team, better ground, better history- we are the pride of Birmingham
SOTC
Villa fans come from north Birmingham- Sutton, Kingstanding, Erdington
There's a map somewhere online of where Villa season tickets are from- everywhere in the city besides Small Heath
That guy Dan also mate KINGSTANDING is a shithole :)
Richard Collins course you lot would stay in that shithole though. We move you inbred.
Can you remind me which is the only team in the West Midlands to win a cup this century?
Suppose you have to have something as that is all you have and have ever had and ever will have
Aston Villa will destroy Birmingham

Didn't the authorities end this fixture permanently from an evening start? All the derbies are now lunch time kick offs because of all the pissed up violence. It's a classic city rivalry. Wolves and West Brom try to involve themselves but neither club mean anything to Villa and Blues fans.
It's Villa V Blues. Nothing else matters.

Villa are like united of the Midlands not in achievements but because most of their fans don't belong to the City.

Villa 3-0 Birmingham
Birmingham aren't a big club but at least Birmingham fans under the age of 40 have the memory of winning a major trophy. If there's any set of fans stuck in the past it's Aston Villa fans.
we literally won a trophy 5 months ago
@@Callum0715 What? You mean the Championship Play-off Final trophy? Come on now, don't take the piss. That's stretching the definition of 'major trophy' a bit far don't you think?
@Jack Fitzsimons Fair enough. The Blues are still the only West Midlands club to win a major honour in the last 25 years.
I'll simply say is this and be out:
* I never want to lose to Birmingham City
* I want to see the Second City Derby play in the prem in my lifetime (and NO W.Brom v AVFC is not THE Second City Derby; it's just A second city derby)
and lastly
* I want to see Villa hold up The Prem trophy, The FA Cup trophy, The Europa League trophy, and The Champions League (Double and Treble not required). Trophy in my life time.
2024 Prem Title!!!
I'm out.

Ethan Houghton - I have no doubt; 🤣 You're not the only to ever say that.

Pablo true, very true. I should have done a better job of expressing that I would like it to be a consistent thing. A kin to the north London Derby between Tottenham and Arsenal; a year in year out thing at the highest level.
Jake Burke lol dude, It can happen man! You heard here first
Our biggest local rivals over the years have been Albion, not Blues. Blues have hardly been up there compared to the other Midlands teams!!!

This dosent represent the derby at all....... its much more hostile and equal than you have made it out to be
The games are shit but not at all equal in history
The atmosphere on the other hand is the greatest in the country

Jonathan Reviews it aint hostile who said its hostile just because the zulus is a well known football hooligans dont mean our atmosphere is hostile not once in 19 years off going to the games have i ever witness a really hostile atmosphere yes we hear people saying mean words but nothing more then just words and words are fine along as it aint racist or anything
@@MA-qf5gq It is hostile, atmospheres at both Villa Park and St Andrews are tense. It's the fiercest rivalry in English football, hands down.
KRO!
