Talion is literally always alone even when he's trying to do the right thing. Hell he's better off a Nazgul. At least when he joined the Ring Wraiths he has 6 ACTUAL allies that won't betray him.
And a shit ton of orcs he doesn't have to dominate

"I will not Dominate them"
You were happy to dominate Sauron but dominating an orc is too far for you?
Sauron*
Because Orcs are far too below for elves.
Dominating Orcs is to build an army and perpetuate war, dominating Sauron was a chance to win a war. This option was quite tempting considering the only other way to beat Sauron was to destroy the One Ring, and Shadow of War happened decades before it was found.
Hans Alanson it really didn’t make any sense though.
@@hansalanson3497 not quite it takes place after the hobbit seeing as it mentions that Gollum lost his ring to Bilbo baggins
The way Talion looks at her when she says "i will not dominate these Orcs." Pretty much sums up our feelings.

Talion had every right to be mad at her yet he still remained in character, her shitty character writing just made Talion more likeable than he already is.
It’s funny because they have a perfect script to set up a narcissistic character, yet they end up winning in the end while learning nothing and being seen as in the right.
I believe the biggest reason as to why he was nice to her was because he was happy to have someone that isn't an orc around. Orcs will betray you the moment you show any form of weakness whether it's in battle or emotional so you can't get too friendly with them

Soo...she killed a guy that previously disarmed her and subdued her with relative ease while holding back his dark impulses from Isildur's ring of power ? *Okay.*
Nikola Dimitrov because bullshit
It was a bad move on the developers part, you can clearly see that Talion is simply superior to her in every aspect in the first minute of the video.
He was weakened, and fighting himself, so maybe he didn`t go all out?
But it always makes me laugh, when i think about it- Nazgul live for thousands of years. Honestly imagine being a creature, that can hone it`s skills for thousands of years, without any detremential effects of aging... Nazgul should wrap Talion(and Aragorn for that matter, on Amon Sul) in a knot first time they faced him- you do nothing but train for war. Imagine reflexes and technique on those bad boys
Only thing that mkes it plausible is that Celebrimbor sort of "Transfered" his thousands of years of skills into Talion- in which case yes- Talion should mop the floor with her
Yeah he isnt dead. Banished from death and a nazgul so he'l just come back stronger
And Talion killed the guys who slaughtered his family, held him down like a bitch and slit his throat. Almost like he got stronger over time. But she can't do that.... right?
I like Slayer as a character because when he was talking to tailon he sounded nervous giving the bad news
They all know what he did to bruce no one wants talion mad for various reasons mainly being that he’s able to replace at any moment with another orc 3 times stronger or just that he can make you fight another orc for his entertainment

When some betray you, one of their reasons is that Talion doesn't allow them to be too cruel.

Can we scrap parts of this DLC and have the third game be talion hunting down celebrimbor? Pretty please?
Celebrimbor is in the eye of sauron
No not quite
He gets released
Maybe talion comes back to finish celebrimbor
I quite liked celebrimbor and loved the sauron boss fight when i got to play as him but to be honest the fact celebrimbor and eltariel survive and Talion dies really just pisses me off.
I don’t blame Talion for not giving the ring back.
Wym talion
If it were anyone else, he might have made it. But the one who tasked herself with pulling him back from the edge was the same one who had pushed him off the cliff last time. And she still hadn't even apologised. Where's Hirgon or Torvin when you need them? Hell, RATBAG probably had a better chance of talking Talion down.

@@Azathoth343unfortunately that's the state of the mind of the average gamer in 2023
@@TheMessiahOfThe99Percent I'm late but yes this is way to true.
Celebrimbor's ring didn't have the side effect of turning you into a Nazgul, so why didn't Eltariel just cut off his ring and give Celebrimbor's ring to Talion. She wasn't in danger of dying, and could've given the ring to Galadriel or thrown it into Mount Doom.
Jesse Hendriks “ I need them fingers bro so just let that ring slowly eat your soul”
Because when you wear a corrupted ring of power, your soul is bound to Sauron as long as he exists, essentially meaning if Talion takes the corrupted ring off he just dies and his soul goes to Sauron.
Where does it say that? Also, his soul won't go to sauron. When he died his soul didn't go to sauron. Sauron is still alive after the ring was destroyed. He is an immortal spirit so that defense is out the window.
Morganthe I thought if you destroy the one ring you destroy Sauron?
He is an immortal spirit he won't be able to do much but he will be alive.
What I dislike is that the "true" ending to the original game content seemed to show that Talion fought in Mordor for years before succumbing eventually to the ring's influence, and becoming a true Nazgul. This DLC seems to disregard the game's own lore and end-game story arc, and makes it seem like it happens almost overnight.
not really, the timeline of the game is shadow wars where talion defends Mordor for decades and then he gives into to the ring (this dlc), becomes a full Nazgul for a while but he has bought time for middle earth and then gets the true ending :) you have to remember that talion likely won't age anymore and the only other character is an immortal elf

Joseph Siburt damn right he could! He faced the or army alone so many times, how could she think she could win

Zebo8000 baranor isn’t that much better to be honest
Azrael Wolfsblood a fuckton better then etariel for sure
Why not? Her moveset is fun and it's not like anyone plays these games for the story anyway.
Ian Bailey Boi she betrayed Talion and expected him to forget, and of course people play this for the story thats why people are so pissed about her in the first place
I don't see how anyone is ignoring the fact that she betrayed Talion. He straight up calls her out on it at the end, and you can tell she clearly feels bad about what she's done, that's why she didn't shank him in Gorgoroth.
I haven't really met that many people who play the Shadow games for story, but really only for the nemesis system and the well polished gameplay.
In a perfect reality
Talion: Hey Eltariel, can I have celebrimbor's ring back, I think this one is making me a nazgul.
Eltarifuck: Of course, I only need it for my two fingers. [Gives ring]

One thing I want to mention is that we see Galadriel can communicate with Eltariel at any time in the dlc.
Which means, Galadriel approves or at least did not stop Eltariel from going with Celebrimbor's plan
The elven arrogance and greed
Keep in mind that until the One Ring was found and the Fellowship was formed, Celebrimbor and Eltariel using the New Ring to try to dominate Sauron was Middle Earth's only hope of stopping him. Was it wrong and selfish? Absolutely. Put yourself in that position, though. Nobody else stood a chance, and Talion refused to comply.

I root for talion even when he fully becomes a nazgul. I love this character. I hated the bright lord after he betrayed him. So glad he got his own ring without the bright lord controlling him.
Well it's a different form of control with isildurs ring, and talion progressively loses himself which is arguably worse
I wanted to play Nazgûl talion when I saw he became one so I could banish celebrimbor like the bitch he is
The tragedy of Talion is that he is betrayed by everyone. He is betrayed by gondor when general Castimir is revealed to be the spy. He is betrayed by Bruz who was his first captian. He was betrayed by Eltariel and Celebrembor whonleft him to die on the bridge. The only ones who were truly there for him were the Nazguil who always refered to him as brother. Oh and ratbag was there for him

@@MacewindJediMaster lmao
I don’t remember that. I remember talion challenging every piece of advice calimbrimbore made. They argued about literally every plot point in the game. Doesn’t Shelob say to calimbrimbore when she takes the ring to talion “return to your puppet before he dies” showing that he was just using talion as a vessel. That’s probably one of the reasons why he made the new ring; so that he could cling to a new host and get the fuck away from talion
*Celebrimbor
One thing I love with Talion being an army leader is we get to see that he ALSO deals with the constant infighting that we used to our advantage when we were fighting Sauron.
Talion was so badass until you found out he was killed by 2 hobbits
Lol yup
Even worse, he died by a flying rock
To be honest, those hobbits were extremely badass.
Hey, no ring wraith can survive a Hobbit if they have enough plot armor.
TBF, hobbits are actually the most OP at surviving. Honestly, think about it. Every fucking hobbit involved with the ring and the story are literal demigods. While they cant fight well, they sure as fuck can out will anyone and anything. Just look at frodo and sam.
Sure plot armor is thick, but story telling is basically plot armor so...

How are we meant to like Eltariel when she didn't even have the decency to apologise for betraying Talion. Just refuses to accept she made a bad call and is the reason for Talions situation in the first place.
And that's what made me dislike her. Not the betrayal, not her overall holier-than-thou attitude. Both of those make sense for her character. It's the fact that the narrative acts as if her flaws don't exist and that she's in the right. The fact she doesn't even apologize to Talion cements it. I could have liked her if the story gave her actual development and acknowledged her flaws but it doesn't. This is NOT how you write a likable character.

WHY!?
In the end, that is exactly what Talion was - a victim. A victim of Sauron, who ruined his life. A victim of Celebrimbor, who used him and threw him away. Even Galadriel saw him as nothing but a tool, and later - a threat. Only Eltariel saw something human in him, but by then it was too little, too late.

Those were Rogue Nazguls, not ones under Saurons control. They thought themselves better than the other Nazguls, and the Witch King too.
since when were some of the 9 kings that became the nazgul, women?
There’s a vision explaining exactly that after the boss fight. God you’re lazy.
Greg B it’s not in this video not everyone has access to their moms credit card so they can buy the dlcs and know for sure
@@azraelwolfsblood2902 Your comment started right, this isn't in the video. But the fact that we are watching a video makes the ending really stupid, since anyone can find another video with that part by searching for it, no need to buy the game.
Finally someone else who actually read all the books the Nazgul tittle refers solely to the Nine Kings of men that held the rings of power that Sauron used to deceive them Talion and the others would be Wights which can technically only be created after a Morgul blade has pierced your heart for example what nearly happened to Frodo@@Nick-pc7km
I love the uruk at 2:57 and his story telling lmao
Same
Corrupted Talion looks so badass
I literally rushed the main story just to get the skin
@@yorukage5926 You commented this twice.
Yes Talion
You fought this war all by yourself
Would have been better if Eltariel gave him the new ring. She’s not dead and doesn’t need it.
Watching Talion teleport around ad avoid being hit during fights makes you think... how freaking skilled did Uruk’s who killed him have to be 😟
I will never acknowledge this DLC
3:49 If I were Talion I would have retorted by telling her that Celebrimbor had no quarrels with dominating orcs and forcing them to fight for him.
I would then mention Celebrimbor driving Bruz to insanity cause of his betrayal.
With enough slam dunks like that maybe the moronic elf Eltariel would finally start to see that Celebrimbor is in fact no better than Sauron.
The rings are cruel.
This is likely headcanon, but...
At 7:42 the ring should be about to overwhelm him, yet it allows Eltariel to see Talion as the man she respects one more time so he can make a final request. Almost like it is using Elariel's respect and care for Talion as a shield to buy itself enough time to turn Talion into a wraith.
"As one power falls, another one rises, that is the way of Mordor" No, that is the way of cockroaches.
She was literally corrupted by celebrimbor's ring and this entire thing proves it. With celebrimbor's ring she had the option to literally give it back and save Talion from his fall but instead fucked him over multiple times due to simple greed. Forsook everything talion fought for and LOST, before resigning herself to tracking down celebrimbor who somehow wormed his way out of being destroyed like Sauron. In short, EVERYTHING that happened is her and celebrimbor's fault. Including talion's fate.
i love how Akoth doesnt have an Handprint on him inthe cutscenes nor does his model in game it shows that Uruks werent always dominated but sometimes joined Talion willingly
Handprints only appear on their face when you shame captains
@@friccle_ i thought they appear once there dominated
@@buschmenschhelmutderzersto9232 only when shamed, grunts on the other hand do appear when dominated
In SoM handprints always appeared but for SoW its different
Think talion deserves a special mask
What was stopping her from giving him the new ring? Tallion would still live and he wouldn't turn into a nazgul
The only reason I can think of is he might've been too corrupted for it.
Otherwise taking off the ring may have killed him, he spent a lot of time between losing Celibrimbor and putting on Isildur's ring.
If he was given the new ring at this point he would have given it to Sauron. He was barely Talion anymore
I like how this dlc showed tailons struggle throughout the shadow wars
Talion is forever banished from death
If celebrimbor Spring is incorruptible why didn't they just swap rings for a while, elves are much less susceptible to the rings aren't they?
Kelsey Baker then the true ending of shadow of war never would have happened
Kelsey Baker elves can be corrupted to the elves, it's the dwarves that can't be corrupted. That why sauron wanted those rings back, and the rings that celebrimbor sent to the elves. Those rings were pure, so sauron seeked those rings to corrupt.
More pressingly Eltariel didn't even need the ring! Talion needs it to survive Eltariel is capable of living without it
Eltariel didn't need this ring. She had that Light of Galadriel after all. Talion would use Celebrimbor's ring far better, because he would just dominate orcs instead of doing fucking favors for them. It is another interesting thing- Eltariel could talk with those orcs, when Talion was attacked by them immediately after they saw him.
I mean, she needed Celebrimbor's ring only for those two fingers back, she wasn't dying or anything,as skilled warrior as she is,I think not having 2 fingers would be just a slight inconvenience for her and her fight style. But nah man,I'm not gonna give you pure ring so you can be immortal, just stay with that ring that slowly turns you into full fledged Nazgul....
Joining Sauron's side apparently makes you way less overpowered (with Galion being able to beat each nazgul and Eltariel).
Eltariel is one of the dev's mary sue self-insert and ruined the plot. Change my mind.
Must have been infected by Star wars during the development.
See how Talion beat Eltariel even when she has the new ring? If Talion wear that ring and come to Sauron, the battle will end in within minutes. No wonder why Shelob try to prevented "Talion wear the new ring"'s future
yeah, the man literally wore a much weaker ring compared to celebrimbors (because it wasn't perfect and was technically controlled by the saurons ring) and still walked into minus morgul, kicked so much orc ass, and proceeded to beat the shit out of the nazgul and the witch king.
Only for him to lose to plot because the game developers made it that way.
Talion has been stalling the forces of darkness alone against an army of orks for years. But he got betray by his most trusted ally and got fucking killed by a self righteous elf
Think Eltariel wasn't a bit much of an ass at the end when you consider she could kill Talion at Gorgoroth at the order of Galadriel, but decided to honor his last wish of taking him home to Gondor. Sadly he was far too weaken and the ring took advantage of his state and finally turn him into Nazgul. So in the end Eltariel didn't just kill Talion to complete her mission, but also her attempt to save him. You could see her grieving for him after seeing his memory of him not a ranger, but a man who had to suffer so many years being denied death, peace and rest, all to carry out his duty. The last thing she could do for him was to honor his sacrifice by continuing his work
Man, they could have had some really cool character development for everyone (Eltariel most of all), tied up their plot better to fit or at least make sense with the original lotr story, maybe could have had her ACTUALLY help Talion by fighting off or taking some of his darkness, had an amazing man and elf couple who hold off the darkness together and liberate the Orcs & Ologs from Sourons mental slavery by guiding them to be there own race, and make a statement that dark isn't always evil by tying it all together with the dark Talion and the unused dark Eltariel skins be the heroes...
But nah, they went with Nazgul sisters and killed off Talion 🤦🏾♂️
10:00 Well, Eltariel should at least apologize, right?
And this is why any verse with Elves needs a Pelinal Whitestrake.
Eltariel:"You are not the only one fighting."
Tearofgrace:"It was for 80% of the goddamn time I was."
It is beyond me why people try to hate this game so much, it's truly a masterpiece
Celebrimbor being free, well that means a third game i think
Shadow of War The Blade Of Feminism DLC
I'm all against forced feminism bullshit in stuff like Star Wars and other relevant titles, but that's some tinfoil hat shit. A female elf that can hold her ground is nothing out of the ordinary in lotr.
Killer Dude woof. Salt.
@Otto Bergmann (Helenelundsskolan) Galadriel is not a warrior.
Nazguls were never women.
@@Hafer_ Even though all battles were fought by males and Galadriel was just really for support, not this super sword master.
Profit Potato Female nazgul?
Let's be real, we were more invested in the bits with Talion than whatever the elf was doing
2:50 i have always to laugh so hard about this conversation
Glad I watched this to see the good parts of the dlc, instead of needing to play most of the time with tis elf.
Picture this for a sequel, eltariel knowing that she can’t defeat celebrimbor alone calls upon the best necromancers in Mordor and once again rises the gravewalker from the dead
Why didn’t Eltarial just give talion the new ring back
It's practically useless without cely
Because she a greedy bitch
@@garrettrowe3897 more of that, she's an elf
I remember her saying " you told me when the time came you would do what is needed"
Everyone hoping that meant she was gonna get brutalized.
7:36 Talion story is so sad he only wanted to do what was best for middle earth he did not deserve the fate he got
yet in the entire lotr series many do not get what they deserve.
Everyone keeps saying Talion is dead but he cant be dead, It is said in the main story that Nazguls rings have the same banished from death feature the new ring does. Which means at the true ending of the regular story still works. He just fully embraces the Nazgul look once his body reforms or whatever it does.
Dude she could’ve just given Talion the New Ring after they first fought and Talion would have an incorruptible ring and could’ve held back Sauron for way longer without having to worry about corruption.
It’s clear that she didn’t kill Talion, it seemed like she just banished him like the previous Nazgul and what Talion did to the Witch King.
He would then come back and do the whole ‘Shadow Wars arc’ then fully fell to corruption decades later.
Even tho we want talion in a 3rd installment to fight celbrimor and elatriel i honestly feel like he deserves the peace of death at this point he did everything he could and singlehandedly delayed the nazgul's and sauron's plan to have a full on invasion to middle earth, he basically bought enough time for everyone to be ready and for the LOTR Group to even come into fruition, delaying sauron singlegandedly was not an easy task yet he was a hero that no one will sing songs to for no one knew he existed
The reason most of us are mad bcoz, we see that 50 hour mark on the save file. We've heard hundred lines of dialogue and even though he isn't the most interesting, we became familiar with Talion. Him becoming a nazgul is awesome because the true "ending" is when you finish every fortress and you are given the last cutscene where *spoilers* he walks into the sunset meaning he's retired and is mortal (I think so.) So him becoming a nazgul IN THE END was worth it, sort of. But I dont understand this DLC. In the last cutscene it says that Talion controlled Mordor until his body physically no longer can fight against the Isridul ring and he joins the Nine, but this kinda changes it. So does Talion not get to live as a mortal in the last cutscene. Is he forever a nazgul bcoz of the dlc. Idk pls tell me. I feel like not playing the dlc and just getting the last cutscene is more fulfilling and concludes things much better. Also seems alot more heroic and more Talion. Either he rules Mordor until his body genuinely can't control the ring or he sides with them bcoz well Celembrimbor and Eltriel or whatever her name is betrayed his ass. Smh.
Real quick. My boy Talion is a great character and I'll fight you for it.
Now to the ending. By the end it is implied that Talion was freed from sauron after the dark lord was defeated meaning Talion's revenge and duty were fulfilled and he was allowed to pass on to the after life where his family was.
And from what I heard online this dlc takes places a bit of time before the list cutscene of the original game. Talion the Nazgul looses to the witch elf and he goes back at the top of minas morgul's tower where the other nazgul show up to greet him as a brother
Nazgul Talion is a badass
1:29 You once told me the world is gonna roll me.
