It's really going to come down to what is the largest material you are going to be using, in a DIY shop where you don't have a hoist to lift steel than the 50a will most likely be fine but if you're in a Business environment then go for the 65a. But usually after 5/8" you would get a better cut with your Oxyacetylene cutting torch.
3 phase 200 amp will blow a cutting torch out of the water
@@petestools two thing, first how many people have that when the usual is a 25 to 50 amp 220v and second the Plasma cutters will usually leave a back cut of about 15 degrees where as the torch will cut at a 90 on the thicker material. Though the Plasma cutter has the advantage of more centralized heat. They both have their places. Remember if every problem looks like a nail ever tool looks like a hammer. LMFIAO
