This was absolutely the most terrifying coaster I've ever been on.
On my bucket list is to go to six flags with my nieces but I’m not riding this

I've been on Deja at least 6 times. Every time I went, it was working so I was sad to see them taking it apart. This is one of my favorite rides.
This was my FAVORITE ride at magic mountain but it was always either broken down or had a huge, slow line because the way it was made, only one coaster could run at a time so the line took forever to move.

Aftershock is actually Six Flags Great America's Deja Vu, which they took out in 2007 and it opened at Silverwood in 2008. Aftershock is one of the three Deja Vu coasters that opened up in 2001, and this one is the first to reopen somewhere after it got moved in 2007. The third Deja Vu was the one at Six Flags Over Georgia and it is in storage at a park in Brazil.

So glad they put this in SF New England as Goliath. Such a great thrill ride!
You better appreciate it... when I was on Apocalypse the other day and I saw the torn foundations of what used to be Deja-Vu, I felt like a piece of my heart was gone. It was probably bumpy and nauseous, but it was the best coaster ride I've ever had.
Was my 2nd favorite ride in the park. Greatly missed

They did. The towers are completely green now and green lights shine on the ride at night. It looks awsome.
I went on this ride only once before the closed it down a few months later. But even though I went on it one time, it was my favorite ride there :(
While they're both made by the same company, Vekoma of The Netherlands, Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm is a regular Boomerang model. There are 45 of the exact same coasters all over the world. This, however, is a Giant Inverted Boomerang, and while it has the same ride elements (vertical lift, cobra roll, loop, vertical lift, loop, cobra roll) as the Boomerang, riders are suspended beneath the track, thus on the outside of the loop, for a much more intense ride experience.
I feel lucky to have been on this ride at least once in my life. The ONE time I was @ Six Flags Magic Mountain, Déjà Vu was closed! then reopened during the day!!! (LUCKYYY) It was this one ride that caught my attention on their website when I learned about other theme parks than the one I have in my Province! This one was FREAKING AWESOME!
Even my heart was pounding by watching it.

Still my all time favorite ride. I am still very angry they removed this and moved it somewhere else, and what pisses me off even more is that they haven't even done anything with the space where it used to be. Even the queue is still there, its just all boarded up. -_-
Teck ErZ it’s because of six flags’ extreme heath codes, and if a person was too tall they risk injury so instead of taking millions to adjust the ride, they sold it 😪

I rode this ride at Six a Flags New England. I had a headache for the rest of the day. God that was a rough experience. Even the regular boomerang was a little less bumpier than this.

I go to Six Flags all the time but i just recently went on Deja Vu for the first time on july 2! it seems everytime i went, it wasn't running or the line was too long. but it was AWESOME! i cant believe i never rode it until now!

Favorite ride when it was at six flags over atl it was way worth driving 4 hours from here Nashville Tennessee to Georgia

Almost all the DejaVu coasters have been taken down. The first one to come down was the one here at Great America in Chicago. I sent a email asking why? Short answer, TOO intense! I would agree. Grown men came off in tears! It was coaster overkill.

I got to ride this ride one time - and it was awesome - however - the only 1 time I got to ride it the ride got stuck on the way back to the station and had to wait 30 minutes for them to get us down.. Was a fun ride none-the-less!!
I never got to go on it since my 1st visit to 6 flags was in 2019. I know for a fact I missed out on this ride. 😔😔😔

I miss this from Six Flags Great America but it feels like it was broken 90% of the time so I don't really miss that.
Good Ol Cyclone in the back. This is when six flags was at its prime, now it’s gone down hill in my opinion.
The ride stayed on it's broken days when it was in gurnee. i was able to get in one good ride when it did open. i loved the Gs it pulled on the inversions

they could also replace this with a giga coaster and have the que line to be in the old
deja vu site and the ride could fit in the area behind apocalypse, or feature a top hat that goes over the sky tower structure. Is it that or if they run out of room, they could by more land to make the park even bigger.
This rollercoaster is now in Silverwoos Idaho its called the Aftershock now. Look up "Aftershock at silverwood" and you will find it.
Ashley Rust There were three clones of Déjà Vu and this particular one was relocated to Six Flags New England, whereas the one that was at Six Flags Great America is now at Silverwood.
I can't recall where Over Georgia's clone went.

Ya, me too! I went quite a bit in my mid-teens to mid-twenties in the 2000's and it seemed to be constantly breaking down.

I was just at Six Flags New England, and both times I went in the last month there has been something wrong with the ride. It's a great ride, but seems to be prone to breaking down :( When I was on it, I found that the movement in the shoulder restraint while going backwards up the lift is more terrifying than the actual ride. Thank god for the seat belts :D

Yea, I understand. Ive never been to SFMM but I loved that when it was at SFOG cause thats were SFMM got Deja vu. FROM US. It was a interesting ride.
Tyler Mcever NOPE!!!! WE had one of THREE clones......ours went to SFNE, and you guy's went down to Brazil, whereas SFGAm's went to Silverwood.
This is exactly like the Roller Coaster at Silverwood called Aftershock but the DeJa Vu one is way bigger and faster and better

this ride De ja v'u was being transferred to england, i rode it twice but it was the best rid in the freakin park, besides tatsu and superman

i can't believe they moved this to england!
What a shame that they removed this ride from Magic Mountain. It fit perfectly there as an extreme ride, and the maintenance crew was used to it, and very good at keeping it running. To make things worse, they moved it to a park that already has a nearly identical coaster!

Right church, wrong pew...The "Deju Vu" from SF Great America is @ Silverwoods now...
They had this @ SF Great America back in '01, along with Vertical Velocity...Both rides opened the same year...DV however, was problematic for most of the years it was there, and was taken out in '07...V2 is still there...

Every time I went it was broken. Next thing you know it was scrapped. I remember the scary ass commercial they had when it debuted ! This was in ga by the way.

I think they removed it because it was to similar to boomerang and instead of basically having two of the same coasters they removed one to a different six flags and named it Goliath
+Joseph Rivetti It was removed most likely because of the Ride Rotation Program. I never rode Deja Vu before. I have actually never rode a boomerang before. :(
@silverblue008 yeah, kinda they're both boomerang type coasters. but the one at knott's has a more straight forward name.

+Retarded Trash honestly, I wish we go got the same treatment as great adventure because I can only make it to new england and it only keeps me busy for so long. I also dont think superman is that good. I waited 2 hours and it was painful on the thighs and overall a lot less intense than it should be, except for the drop. and if this was the most busy ride there, thru should give it back and give us a better ride from magic mountain. Goliath is very rough and it broke do I don't understand why we keep it and not give us a better coaster. they can take out the two boomerangs (flashback and Goliath) and put a much better one in.
Depends how long ago you went. They changed the restraints. I've never been on mean streak.
