Special Thanks to coastercrutchfield for letting me use his video of DeJaVu 👍🏻
Thanks for watching - Развлечения
We went to Six Flags Over Georgia and this was the 1st ride we hopped on. On the drop backwards my husband passed out and refused to ride anything else. He was done!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 I loved it!!!!!
I had got one of the last ride on Deja Vu at Great America, I'm glad to still be alive to say that. Horrifying experience, lol.
why was it so scary??
When you're above apocalypse you can still see the blue rails for the lines 🥺
Deja Vu was my FAVORITE ride at MM. I loved it for all the same reasons you stated! I even had MERCH! Thats how much i loved it. Scared the shit outta me eachtime i rode it. Hated to see it go! Ty for this video!
...one of my favorites along with X2 and Riddler's Revenge
I HAVE A HUGE MEDELA EFFECT. I remember riding this ride several times in highschool and especially at grad night but I graduated in 2014. I REMEMBER IT SOO WELL
You made me go back in time for a bit there lol
Got to ride it twice at Six Flags over Georgia. It was hands down the best ride there. But it was also broke down A LOT and eventually taken down.
This was my absolute favorite coaster. I rode it only once in 2010, glad I got to experience it at least.
rode it back in 2006. I still remember hanging facing the ground for a few seconds before it dropped hoping the harness didn't let go cause I'd look like the guy in 'Titanic' that was bouncing off stuff when the ship was vertical
The human body looks so stupid when falling from the sky - it’s an embarrassing way to go lol
When I went on it, I didn't experience any problems either on the ride or waiting in line for it. I remember hearing about a woman's restraint was loose and it scared the crap out of her and she reported it because she didn't feel safe on it. I luckily had an awesome experience riding it, it sucks had to go.
We had Deja Vu at Six Flags Over Georgia, and during park visits over three straight years 2004, 05, 06 I never once saw the thing operating.
I cried riding this the first time. The restraints were loose and I thought I was gonna fall out. I rode it right before it closed and the restraints were updated. I was no longer slipping in my seat.
This is the only coaster I would never ride twice. The backwards half mooshed my brain it felt like, and I was on the verge of passing out. I just closed my eyes and focused on taking deep, calm breaths until it ended. What a relief to walk off. Has never happened on any other ride.
You just brought back a vague vague memory I had where some official said to 10 year old me that deja vu could be coming back at some point idk just wanted to put that out there
That would be insane if what he said actually happens
I remember when this first came out, I waited in line for so long and this was a great ride. After my ride the following ride had a passenger with a toupe that fell off and I remember watching it fly into the distance. ❤️
😂
They Need to Build a New better DeJaVu with towers even Higher..
Great video! This is a very interesting topic. Keep up the great work!
This ride is now at Silverwood theme park in North Idaho and is one of the most popular rollercoasters. They take amazing care of it and it's so smooth!
Nah that’s the one that was at six flags great america
@@parkermargeson4311 It's the exact same ride. Took 16 semi trucks to get it here.
Bro im so with you man i was a young kid going on this ride and it was my absolute favorite. Yes there were so many technical difficulties but man this ride was worth the wait i miss it sometimes
That wait was NUTS! Lol but the ride was worth it fr
I remember going to de ja vu when, I was 9 years old from 2006.
I loved this ride until my harness came undone on the first tower. I was fortunate to have a nice stranger next to me who held his arm over me so I would stay in. It was traumatic.
Wow that must've been VERY SCARY. I can't even Imagine that wow.
wow wtf truly.? Dam I would always think what if that happened..
You should sue
Wow wtf
Amen brother Amen.
It was a good ride but the line was so slow since it could only have one train at a time. If they could split the track (similar to tatsu) and have a loading area they could increase the throughput. Although that may also cause it to break down more often 🤷🏼♂️
I rode the one at six flags great America 3 times and it was definitely great. Long wait times due to only one train and definitely broke down while i was in line. And many times the ride wasn't even open at all.
Hell yeah!!!! I was looking for that ride today
Ah man . It will forever be missed. After it disappeared i went there only once and since then never again.
What happened to the Superman that was on top of Superman the ride? I never knew why they took it off
I think they put it in the looney tunes super store.
Glad I enjoyed at least once
I almost died on deja vu at six flags over Georgia…harness came a loose on the backwards part of the ride…held on for dear life 💯
Sorry to hear I remember riding de ja but at six flags over GA when I was a kid and I remember there was a similar issue with someone else while waiting in line so I believe you
They had this one at Six flags Great America. To this day, it is still the best of ride they've ever had there. Goliath comes really close, but I think deja Vu was just something else.
This park’s never gonna get open change my mind
California just announced guidelines for theme parks to reopen today ...
Dejavu I have been in this place before...
I do miss this coaster. Haven't been to Magic Mountain in a good while, but I hope one day they bring that thing back and better than ever. Plenty of feedback from clones to make it that way.
Dejavu was epic.
This was an awesome ride I grew up in Canyon country and I always went there had no idea they took out log jammer that sucks
Yes! Unfortunately, they replaced Log Jammer with Full Throttle.
Hey, thanks for the tip, kid!! I lived in Washington for 14 years and never got to go to Silverwood. I so finally need to sometime within the next couple of years or so!!
I never knew why Magic Mountain said they couldn't take of it and Silverwood can. A little park that really takes care of it.
Exactly makes no sense ...
There were three Déjà Vu clones. THIS one in particular is now at Six Flags New England under the name Goliath, whereas the one from Six Flags Great America is now Aftershock.
They had the same coaster at six flags over Georgia around the same time frame. Same name same color and unfortunately the same downtime problems.... I was able to ride at one time and that was one awesome roller coaster
I want to cry I was too young and scared to ride it and now it’s gone I am at six flags so much I want to go so bad!
My little Brother also missed out on riding DeJaVu he was tall enough to ride but, He took his shoes off and they double checked his height ... Without his shoes he wasn't tall enough to ride ...
This was a legend
Only got to ride it twice. Once when it was fairly new in summer '01 and again in summer '02. It was basically like Boomerang at Knott's Berry Farm but completely vertical. It was pretty scary when you went up those towers, but overall the coaster was kind of meh. Was over way too fast. I would give it a 6 out of 10.
I think Apocalypse is a much better coaster for the park and SFMM really is better and offers more variety with a wooden coaster instead of Deja Vu. Especially since Colossus is gone now.
I can respect that but I loved this ride man 😩
dude i loved de ja vu and Magic Mountain is my home park i was pissed when i heard they moved it....
scariest rollercoaster of all time.
the screams you heard while waiting in line..
.wtf!
Was this the same problem that Six Flags Great America had? That coaster was up for like 3 years and then was tore down. It never seemed to be in operation!
It’s in Idaho now. It was a mess at Great America. A complete mess. V2 obviously was fine out of the two.
I remember when it was at over georgia. An absolute masterpiece.
If only the giant inverted boomerangs that were built in 3 of the parks that had it with no issues even with the updated restraints, it would be amazing to experience
It’s now at silver wood Idaho I go on it all the time called aftershock now
I loved Deja Vu! Magic Mountain gave up on this. I don't understand how Silverwood can maintain Aftershock!
Just went to Silverwood yesterday and today, it was closed both days.
I’ve been to Silverwood many times and have always been able to ride! Love this ride and it IS scary! I don’t know why they say it’s in New England, Silverwood has it in Northern Idaho!
This ride reminds me if the boomerang that use to be at Knott's.
I certainly wish I had gone to Magic Mountain when this coaster AND Log Jammer were still in the park. They looked like such amazing rides to experience.....Allow me to correct you on one of your facts, Goliath (Déjà Vu) runs way worse now since the ride got those atrocious Premier trains, in fact it rarely runs and it remains closed throughout most of the year due to the same problems as well as the trains.
Very strange, i understand the new trains are absolute garbage but, the same inverted boomerang model is at Silverwood and as far as i know it runs great ... Also Log Jammer was a great water ride i really do miss that ride.
@@RollerCoasteraddict Silverwood made the smart decision by keeping the original Vekoma trains. That’s the closest GIB you can ride haha. As for Log Jammer, it did look like a fun ride. Jet stream should’ve gotten the boot instead.
So stupid to take down deja vu
How could it be your favorite ride when there were so many issues.
Well. Easily the best of this ride are the 200ft completely vertical towers. So far nothing I've been on since compares to that feeling of being pulled up & dropped straight down, It was a unique thrill for sure.
Now it’s being taken down at the New England six flags . Never even rode it because it was always shut down throughout the years . They just announced they’re scrapping it!
Still can ride it at Silverwood theme park in Idaho 👍
And there’s more giant inverted boomerangs at some parks outside the US
Agree bring it back!!! I love Dejavú!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭
I went on it in 2005 and I really liked it. A problem with boomerangs is that you can only run 1 train at a time.
How crazy would it be if they make a clone but way bigger this time! And they name it déjà vu So it would be like we have it back but better kind of like twisted
Kind of like🎢 invertigo @ Great America in Santa Clara California . It was the same boomerang type ride. It just didn't have straight up Towers. A little bit of a slant. They took it out.The lot was empty 4 a bit. Until finally the amazing single rail coaster named railblazer was placed in its spot. But like you said hands down the Deja Vu was an all time favorite..One of the best.
SFOG is my home park and they once had Deja Vu where their giant pendulum ride Pandemonium is built. Had it not close down 7 years prior to my first ever visit in 2014 and It would’ve been an amazing ride. Also, it was their first and last roller coaster to reach 200ft
Yep! Right after the 2nd time I rode it at GA 6 Flags it was taken down....one of my top 3 rides
Went on this plenty of times when it came out. Fun ride but had issues and took forever. I remember it rallied back after it didn’t get up the corkscrew. ( Six flags Great America ride ).
I got a chance to ride this ride a bunch of times. I worked out there during the construction of deja vu and acrophobia. Deja vu was never opened, was always plagued with mechanical issues. Either a poor design and faulty electronics. The higher ups were big mad!! As they should be. To me sixflags over ga always played it safe when it came to spending bucks on more rides. I hate they got ride of the viper.
I am so late. I missed this coaster.
The only ride that i was legit scared to get on this ride scared the shit out of me.
I go to Silverwood almost every summer, and I have never had the guts to go on Aftershock/Deja Vu. Call it cowardice or self-preservation, but I’ll enjoy the rest of the park while everyone else is stuck in line.
You are missing out on a great Coaster!
I felt the same way until I went on, it’s now my favorite ride
X2 and the new “twisted colossus” are good
I was 11 when I got on this ride and it was amazing
I rode on it at Six Flags Great America
They had one at six flags great America since I was kid. Over the decades I went there, at least 20 times, it never once worked. Literally never it was always not working or broke 2 hours into the day
I remember that as well. I always wanted to go on it but of the 25 or so times i was there when it was up, it was only operational maybe 2 or 3 times!
i think it was a land issue that's y they moved it , that new housing development at magic mountain is huge, also at SFNE the riddler vekoma slc can reach up and touch the track in the station with the new soft restraints and i'm 5 foot 10,
nice
I never had any issues with it...lines were always long
Is the Deja Vu you’re talking about the same Deja Vu that was at Six Flags Over Georgia years ago?
The one from Over Georgia has long since been relocated to an amusement park(I forgot the name of the park) in South America, now called: Sky Mountain
I really liked it. It was closed a sometimes when I went but a few times it would reopen later in the day. Never new about the height restrictions, glad they fixed it so I could ride it! We would ride again if the newish at the time x was too long a wait. From memory Déjà vu was just before you took a left to eventually go into x's line
My fav. ride at six flags! I definitely hated when I seen that they took it down.. I feel that if it would have been up I would have got to six flags more
Make another one :)
with towers as High as supper man! lol
They can't take it back, six flags sold it to Silverwood years ago
The one from Six Flags Great America went to Silverwood.
Magic Mountain's clone went to Six Flags New England.
@@seanlewis1148 and MM deja but got scrapped after Goliath closure at SFNE in 2019
@@thatkidfromsmartsville2012mmmhmm
It's currently at silver wood in idaho and it recently came off the tracks
It's also now called aftershock
Yes I go to silverwood all the time, it's one of the most fun rides we have there,
@@birdsarecrazy3237 Aftershock is a relocated coaster that first operated at six flags Great America, not Magic Mountain since MM deja closes in 2011 when Great Americas version closed in 2007. Aftershock opened in 2008
We have an attraction the same in Sochi
🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
It use to roll back alot. Silly silly ride.
aftershock
Yeah.....the one from Six Flags Great America
The area where Deja Vu is placed looks so freaking ugly and it just looks out of placed. Plus theres literally a boomerang right next door so it makes no fucking sense.
The placement of this coaster was so nice and so aesthetically pleasing along side apocalypse and it clearly wasnt meant to be a midway coaster.
Bro I saw James Charles two days ago there
their is a reason that after shock looks a lot like deja ve beacuse it was deja vu from six flags
The towers needed to be taller to prevent valleying.
Any new vids coming soon?
I plan on a re-visit to SFMM soon ... Also SFHH if they open this year :)
This was my first ever roller coaster and I miss it so much rip 😢😢
Great America had it and I loved it til we got stuck a few times. So glad and so sad it’s gone
It was three of these....the one from SFGAm went to Silverwood, now as Aftershock.
This was a night mare at SFNE…
What you mean??? My favorite ride after Goliath at sixflags rn
yo does anyone want to meet up at MM next week?
This ride had great amount of negative g's and not too many postive g's since the inversions were quite large. It had a great balance of both without being to extreme one way or another. It was one of my fav's too.. it's too bad they shut it down. I would have much preferred riddler or batman going instead of dejavu. Those lines are always so empty
De. Ja vu. 😢😢😢😢😢
It’s def not running fine at SFNE. They’ve closed it
It's been there for over a decade ... Only within the last few months it started having "problems" ... I say that because ive heard nothing on why it's been down.
I am happy that deja vu was relocated to my home park. Hoping that they don’t remove it next year!
Horrible ride very uncomfortable and painful.
The one at SFMM?
Wasn’t painful to me
No. That was not the point of tall riders. Lol. The setup was obviously a mess. Did you actually ride this ??? The person talking Or were you like 5.
You could touch the track?!? Wow Vekoma must be a piss poor manufacturer
It didn’t close in 2011 I remeber ridding it at grad night in 2014 so Ha! U got ur facts wrong bud

@@RollerCoasteraddict how did I ride it in 2014 tho I remember it so well cos that was the last ride I went on and it was deff dejavu
