    This addon was supremely unstable back in 3.1. I'm glad they fixed it. Great stylized choice for the forest pack.

      Seems to be working without a problem in 4.0 :-)

    For people who can't find it 4.2, it's under 'Get extensions' instead of addons

    Thanks Martin, I didn't know about this add on. And also I fell in love with Flora's asset pack when it came out. Will surely get that too. Thanks again

    This is incredible!! Love that asset pack and how quickly the foliage can be placed in a scene with such great results. Cheers and thanks so much for sharing the knowledge!

    Thanks so much for this!! I did not know about it and it's exactly what I need, something simple and quick. One note, hitting enter on the number pad does not work, you have to hit the main one. Took me a while to figure that out.

    This is a very useful tool and fun to use . I think you have to place the origin of your objects at the base to get them to set right on the surface. :O)

      @MartinKlekner  10 месяцев назад +1

      It is! It in fact seems to be placing the assets at the origin automatically when I hit the scattering option :-)

    In my add ons list in Blender 4.2, there is no option for the Scatter Objects add on. Has it been removed or renamed?

      Weird, it seems to still be built-in docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/addons/object/scatter_objects.html

      It's under Get extensions

    Wow I had no idea this existed. If I had I wouldn’t have spent all this money on different scatter addons. 😅😅😂😂 Don’t get me wrong, those pro, biome based scatter addons are great, but sometimes I honestly just end up using vertex groups and particles cuz it’s just quicker and easier without all these different options and fancy menus. Many times I’m like there’s gotta be a quicker way to just fill the scene with these assets quickly and easily without aaaaall these big menus.

      Exactly, for more complex stuff, I choose Scatter, for quick and simple scattering I often employ this free one :-)

    I still prefer geonodes, cause you can offset by bounding box and don't have to change the original. I skip most manual steps with nodes. Plus it's better for masking etc. There also is GScatter, which is free too and I think better than this one.
