I'll have to look into that. I retopologized a character recently with Retopoflow, and by the end it had slowed to a crawl and was very painful to use. Even with my hi-poly meshes decimated to hell and cut up into smaller chunks, the current version of Retopoflow seems to struggle after a certain amount of points are created.
They're going Maya's quad draw style since it's more intutive and works with edit mode tools too, also 2 days ago another addon poped out called quad maker which copies Quad Draw, haven't tested it yet and hopefully it's more performant with dense meshes.
What is it used for? I don't know anything about this. It seems to me he's creating geometry from geometry that already exists. It's obviously not that... so what's going on?
"...Its kind of a musthave when you need to do retopology." That's why I don't understand why it's not already part of Blender. We have a movie-clips-editor, audio-tools, 2D-tools... but the retopology tool is a paid Add-On for a 3D-Software! 🤯
Retopo Flow is totally a fair deal, but you do need to be aware that the update may not be a permanent solution. If Blender makes a breaking API change, you'll need Python knowledge as a minimum to get it to install in order to do said update.
Yesterday, Bake Master has been updated to the Newest Version, in the Humble Bundle, via the BlenderMarket Download Page.. So apparently not all Addons are a Snapshot!? Hopefully!!! 👍😊
There's a lot of salty people in the comments here??? Don't know why, it's a really good deal even without the addons updating, I work professionally in blender and only just updated from 2.8 to 4.1. I haven't had any problems with addons not working, one of the UV addons I use hasn't had support for years and works in 4.1. Just about every professional I know gets their workflow the way they want it and then doesn't touch it, Dev cycle is often years. The last thing I want is updates breaking my workflow... looking at you Adobe. Not saying having the ability to update isn't welcome, it definitely is, just people seem to be hating on a really good deal for a minor issue.
Hi, someone can help me find were do ai redeem the softwares i purchased in the bundle, they gave me a code and says i redeem "on the other platform" but it doesn't says what is the other platform, nor i found where to reedem a code in blender market place, pls help
I have a feeling its a few things: 1. not enough users want it 2. not enough funds 3. the programmers working on blender don't have room on their todo list to implement it until a later update.
I've just started using this. Yes it's great, but I would like to see the standard keystrokes to work "inside" of Retopoflow. If you could integrate fill extrude tools at the least that would save some round tripping. Unless there is a way "inside" Retopoflow and I've been hitting the wrong keys.
don't tell people "snapshot" is not a problem. it is absolutely a problem. because in long term when blender version updates, if the snapshot is incompatible enough to not be able to get installed, updating it will not be straightforward and will require hacking into it. they should've just sold a straight out license redeem code.
I said it's not a problem FOR RETOPOFLOW since it has a built in updater. For the rest of the bundle it certainly is and in the future hopefully they go with a product key approach
@@gamefromscratch i'm saying it's a problem. retopoflow's built in update needs blender to open it's current version first. so, if blender becomes incompatible with the current version, then using your addon won't be as straightforward. you will need to hack into the code and manually update if possible.
Hi Mike, thanks for the review! Are you planning to review the "Advanced algorithms and programming bundle"? Some of the topics are really interesting but it would be good to hear some opinions on the quality of the courses before buying.
I have Retopoflow 3 but I stopped using it a while back... can't stand the terrible integration of it inside Blender... but I'm eagerly waiting for Retopoflow 4, that will be integrated into Blender's Edit mode.
Want to ask for those who bought the bundle. Does the video tutorial in the bundle are worth for learning as a beginner? I realized that the version for the tutorial mostly in ver.2.8 /3.0 something so is it worth to install blender 2.8 just to follow the tutorial?
I used quad-remesher sometime ago and it was excellent. I have never used retopoflow. If someone has used both, would you please let me know which one is better ? Or if both have some positives and some negatives compared to each other ?
it's not which are better or worst, they don't do the same thing, Quad Remesh is automatic and still need a manual tweak in many cases, meanwhile Retopoflow is a manual an more accurate way of remeshing especially if you make characters that mesh warping is involving.
This is kinda shit. I highly recommend the alternative "Instant Meshes" that automagically allows you to draw tangent curves which will effectively draw the strokes for you.
Blendermarket has done a loooot of that stuff recently, right? Kind of... created a deal where they say you'll get one thing but instead give you another thing which is like 9% of the thing they originally said. It's not SCUMMY scummy, but it definitely urks me the wrong way
A real shame about the performance, there's a noticeable impact to viewport performance once you hit around 8k faces. I have a 5950x with a 4090 and 64GB of ram, so it's just a limitation of blender or retopoflow.
wdym you can use all of this for game modding, asset creation is asset creation. Considering the average blender user is a hobbyist, then modding is a buzzword that will get them to buy a bundle. only at the game integration stage is none of this usefull.

Retopo flow 4 is in alpha and is completely redesigned just works directly from the view port and is very performant

The UV Packmaster is Version 3.2.5

I would like to see how to use the Faceit and bake add-ons.
WHOA. If I hadn't purchased almost all of the other stuff in it. Packmaster3 is great as is UV flow, and trashkit, baking add-ons are useful too.
