    I've been taking 5g of creatine everyday for about 2 months now. I'm a 23 year old male and I can verify this is the golden standard of supplements. I do MMA training several times a week and taking creatine everyday allows me to perform what feels like at least 30% better and without the fatigue and soreness. On top of that, Creatine also has shown to reduce brain trauma. I used to get headaches after sparring sessions but now that I take creatine I rarely get headaches. I would recommend this to pretty much everyone that isn't sedentary.

    For those with Type 2 Diabetes, creatine may also help stabilize blood sugar levels. There is something with creatine that helps usher glucose into your cells. Sorry I don't understand the specifics, but someone suggested creatine to me and after trying it, I found it did help. Just drink a lot of water when using creatine. It causes your muscles to take in more water so you'll need to compensate for that.

    *Micronized Creatine* is Creatine Monohydrate broken down into smaller particles. allegedly faster resorption in the body. no studies showing that it does anything special.

    • @PrecisionPulseCapital
      @PrecisionPulseCapital 7 лет назад +4

      If your taking mono-hydrate, you take it daily. If your taking hydro-chloride, you can take that pre workout.
      The difference being with mono the absorption isnt as good so your body needs more time to break mono down and be stored in your body( 2-3weeks), also you retain more water, resulting in a bulkier look. With hydro, your body doesnt retain as much water, because the absorption is much better, which always for pre-workout consumption.
      I take hydro and works great pre-work. You will notice it right away.

      @@shawndayvis6169Whats the contradiction?
      Just saying Hydro is good pre workout- 60-90 mins before vs mono which needs to build up in your system.

      Keeps you leaner but still muscular.

    Dr berg can you do another more updated video on creatine if taken long term what are the side effects and is it safe to take for muscle gains . Because I’m hearing a lot of theories about it people saying it’s not good for organs like your kidneys etc . Can we have more information please Dr Berg .

      It seems no side effect if taken between 3gr and 5gr daily with loads of water
      .This is the most studied supplement around 1k studies over the years.I did loads of research and it is really a safe supplement.Unless you have a kidney condition.However I would like to have an updated video from Dr Berg and hear his opinion again.Also read that it is really good for the brain function in elderly people, helping with dementia & others conditions etc.Check this out.

    The best creatine that I know of is "Creapure" which is a micronized creatine produced in Germany. It's never, ever given me any stomach upset and it barely costs any more than regular creatine. Ethyl esters aren't one bit more effective, and they taste BAD.

    • @112358miau
      @112358miau 6 лет назад

      The only better than monohydrate is alkaline versions. It prevents the stomach problems making it easier to disolve in water. You dont need to take as much as monohydrate, because it has a higher rate of absortion.

    I took 5g and it made my hair thin, my muscles swell and got stronger. Too much for me and it boosted DHT making my hair thin and potentially fall out. I knocked it down to 1.5g go the same effect without the hair thinning. Depends on how big you are to start with and how responsive you are, if at all. You need to drink loads of water or get an upset stomach. I like it, no need to load or cycle but it's up to you...

      So glad I stumbled on this video and your comment. I just started creatinine as a supplement (5g per day) for muscle growth for approximately 2.5 weeks and noticed the same side effects: strength and muscles increasing, but unfortunately, noticed my hair thinning really bad. I decided to stop taking it despite the positive impact it has made at the gym and my muscles. Did you get some of your hair back after you lowered your dose? I hope it stops the hair loss and it grows back for me after stopping. Thank you!

    • @gigachad6521
      @gigachad6521 5 лет назад

      there are a few studies. But, to conclude, if you are taking more than 5g of creatine for a bit longer period of time and also are pre-disposed to male pattern baldness then you might want to be a bit more self aware that how you are reacting to it. Otherwise, its safe to use for physical and mental performance enhancing effects.
      (p.s - you can search 'creatine and hair loss' in google scholar)

      hello danny,
      i'll speak from personal experience. Someone who has rich hair and this runs in his family as well (dad/mom), literally has no problem. For me this was not the case. My mother had very thin hair from a small age, which i inherited. I always had a thin hairline and since the age of 15 i started losing hair. I know this is rare, but here's what happened.
      So: I am 29 now, still have hair (back spot on head is pretty bald, i have hair in front - but is thin). I used creatine for only 1 month and i noticed that i started losing more hair after 10 days of usage. This is the main reason i stopped this supplement.

    Does creatine have to be taken immediately after weight training? I'm intermittent fasting and I lift fasted in the morning (5 am), and eat my first meal at noon. If I take creatine by then will it still effective? Thanks, Dr. Berg.

    • @FloridaTwoWheelAdventures
      @FloridaTwoWheelAdventures 7 лет назад

      The Last Sifu you need to take creatine for about 2 weeks or so until your muscles saturate with it. What you take in through normal diet does not saturate your muscles. There is no need to bulk up on it like the bottles usually state. Just take a normal dose for 14-21 days. You'll be saturated and after that, just take the same dose daily. If you decide to stop taking creatine, it will take several days for your body to go back to previous levels.
