Was is a hurry and skipped through the video to figure out the braid style. I then applied it to 7 strands of 20 gauge wire. This shows how easy your explanations and demonstrations are. Good job
I love the way you teach these wire wrapping pieces. You explain every step and show them several times whereas the beginner jeweler , like myself, can keep up with you and not have to rewind the steps. thank you. I will keep looking for all your videos.
Your tutorials are clear, well filmed, and easy to understand. I've watched many tutorials on wire wrapping and found yours to be the most educational. Thank you for the time you've taken to teach others your craft. It is greatly appreciated! Do you have a video with ideas for specific practice exercises and/or tips for people that are just beginning to work with the wire wrapping techniques? If not, is that something that you'd be willing to do? I'm really excited about starting out with wire wrapping and all of the endless creative possibilities. My aggressive form of progressive Multiple Sclerosis has begun to effect my gross and fine motor skills making many things very challenging but I love making jewlery. Making jewlery is a great way to makes sure I keep working with my hands which slows down the degenerative process. I'd really appreciate any assistance and guidance you can offer me, people in similar situations, and people who are looking for some tips because they love this hobby. Let me know if it's easier to send you my contact information directly. Thanks!
Feel like we are old friends. I have spent so many hours going over and over your instruction, which is fantastic its not you its me but I will get it eventually you are an excellent teacher keep up the good work
I absolutely love your work. I don't have experience with wire wrapping & you do it so well, I'm a little intimidated. Congratulations on your new kumihimo book. Thanks for sharing your expertise and finely detailed videos with us. Best wishes.
I absolutely love your tutorials. You have a way with teaching. All your instructions, both spoken and shown, are so clear. I've done a few of your wire work and love them. I'm am so looking forward to your wire wrapped Celtic Knot Ring. Thank you for sharing.
I have just tried this and feeling very frustrated as my wire woven ring base turned out well, but can be improved on with practice, but despite pausing and rewinding I was not able to achieve the knot. As I froze various frames I thought I had it right but I must have missed a couple of moves. I will have another go but feeling a bit cross-eyed at the moment! This is the first one I haven't followed. I think your designs and instructions are wonderful.
hi you my lady are brill i am a beginner and so far have made the Egyptian style bracelet, the spiral christmas earrings and the 5 braid bracelet and have managed to follow your instructions with ease i will be making this ring on my next project thank you so much :)
I agree with comment underneath 😊 & would like to add, ~I love all your projects! There always SO clean, classy & pretty ! Although I am naturally talented , I am still a novice so I really admire the choices of tutorials you have done. They are within my range ,as well as my taste.. You are a great instructor... I wish to start doing tutorials as well (soon enough 😜) Your definetly some1 I would be proud to emulate. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 😁✌
This excellent! I need to try this soon. You do an excellent job of explaining everything and showing what needs to be done. Thank you for posting this!
OK, gave this a go, the weaving was fine but I did get confused as to which wire went where for the knot and struggled a bit pulling them through so lost nearly all the curves. having said that I'm new to wirework so maybe I need to practice more ( maybe on something simpler first!
Karine Oldale I'm sorry about that. It can be a little confusing, but just try and make sure that all the wires are crossing over and under each other so no single wire is crossing either over or under more than one wire at a time, and you can also work on the curves a bit more once you have the wires in place to get it just how you want :-)
Thank you very much for your viedos, they are fantastic, easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge, also looking forward to your other ring.
+Bev Holly You're welcome and thank you. I really appreciate it. The tutorial for the other ring is available here ruclips.net/video/U-9bsQoITFE/видео.html :-)
Thank you! Got the wire wrapping down then when the knot came... Nope 😂 so I finished it with a squiggly rose 🤣bit advanced for me but I've got an interesting finished ring even if its not the same as yours so km chuffed with that! 😘
Very cute ring, youre my favorite Wire Jewelry instructor. I dont know if you've done a video on types of wire for beginners or not but with me being new and needing to practice a lot. I need a very cheap and practical type of wires to practice with. And it has to still be a nice wearable non tarnishing piece of jewelry. I was thinking about stainless steel or aluminum that can be bought in bulk or bigger wheels of inexpensive wire at the local hardware store or online. I would love it, if you will give us some pointers on how to work with these 2 metal wires. What gauges should be used? if it should be hard or soft wire? Any help that you can give us on inexpensive quality wire Im not talking about cheap Junk throw it away after one wear but good expensive wire would be greatly appreciated... Thank You, ❤👍👍
with regards to wirkin from the reel ll unwrap sone then stick it to the reel with blutak or cut a groove in the reel then u can access smaller ammounts in one go but get more when u want it
The knot in the center of the ring can be found in books of knots and macrame books. Anyone having problems with the knot, i would suggest you try the knot in cord first - don't pull it tight as that pulls the knot out of shape as a design piece. This shows you how to make the knot www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/diy-rope-bracelets .
I am also having a hard time with the knot. When you come back for a second close up of the knot on the ring mandrel it looks nothing like when you edited the shot. I would like to have seen you continue with the shaping. Howeer like the other ladies I am not giving up. Thank you so much for sharing you time, talent and knowledge
+Nichole York I get what you mean. I just cut that for the length of the tutorial. I literally just kept working with it for a while until I was happy with how it looked :-)
HI LOVE THE RING.... CANT WAIT TO MAKE IT! IM A BEGINNER. i NOTICED MY ROUND NOSE PLIERS ARE DAMAGING THE WIRE WHEN IM FLATTENING THE WIRE. hOW CAN I AVOID THIS? THANKS :-) SO MANY LOVELY PEICES IVE MADE HAVE BEEN COMPRIMISED CUZ OF IT!
For the life of me I can not seem to get the knot right. I've watched over and over again but I can't really tell exactly how you're doing it. If you cld refer me to a different video or drawing even, with a clearer explanation that wld be much appreciated. Great tutorial tho. Thank you.
To cinnamongirlx1. I hope you get this as I can't seem to reply straight to you. They don't have the big reels of wire available on the website very often anymore. So that's why it's probably hard to find, but otherwise it would be under materials. They tend to keep them for kits for their live shows now :-)
ajakuk1 Thank you. You could certainly experiment with adding beads to it. Personally I would maybe go in and add them after by attaching them with some fine wire. I could see it looking nice with maybe some smaller ones placed in the middle of the wire on each side of the knot, that way the knot would still be visible as well :-)
I love watching your videos. I hope one day to attempt to make one of your creations. I wanted to ask you about the sturdiness of the ring once finished. Is there a need to 'harden' it or does it keep its shape sufficiently ? Thank you.
Are you using regular craft/jewelry wire or a soft wire? You are able to bend the 20 gauge easily and it is super difficult for me. Am I doing something wrong?
extremely hard for me to follow due to the many angles and different positions while wrapping. would have been much easier if the angle of the piece stayed the same...beautiful piece though.
Was is a hurry and skipped through the video to figure out the braid style.
I then applied it to 7 strands of 20 gauge wire. This shows how easy your explanations and demonstrations are. Good job

Hi, I LOVE ypur videos. Can you please tell me if the wire you use for your rings is dead soft, or half hard wire. ❤😊
I love watching your videos. I hope one day to attempt to make one of your creations. I wanted to ask you about the sturdiness of the ring once finished. Is there a need to 'harden' it or does it keep its shape sufficiently ? Thank you.
Verne Garlock Thank you very much. I personally don't feel there is a need to work harden this ring as its quite sturdy on its own :-)
If I use bare copper wire will it turn my finger green?
awesome!
Love it! Thank you so much~
***** You're welcome and thank you :-)
Are you using regular craft/jewelry wire or a soft wire? You are able to bend the 20 gauge easily and it is super difficult for me. Am I doing something wrong?
Lovely work! Would you recommend this for a beginner?
How do you leave it on the reel without it unwinding?
Maravilhoso!!!...Obrigado
marisa Franguelli No problem, thank you very much :-)
I wish you didn't cut out the part where you were shaping the knot cos I wasn't really sure how to reshape mine and it ended up a right mess ☹
Was the 20 guage half hard or dead soft?😊
Podrían poner los subtítulos es español o francés, por favor? Quisiera saber qué alambre utiliza.
Wowwww👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Do you think you could add small seed beads on the ring also?
Do u know when you'll be doing the other ring that you showed? soon I hope! So pretty
Victoria G Thank you very much. It will be within the next couple of weeks :-)
THANKS!
have the link for it lovely?
