I’ve just cleaned mine out 2 weeks ago best way to turn it is with a bit of wood 10mm thick and about 18inches long it’s a lot easier

When removing the top plate from the toilet i have seen a video on RUclips where the guy used a piece of wood cut to fit in where the slide goes and long enough to use as a leaver

Please pay a welder to do some remedial welds especially where the Ram is as if they break ( which they will ) it could kill someone , your welding may have started to look ok but it will not be penetrating enough 💩

Thanks Steve, I have bolted it too, just incase my welding is rubbish 😂. A close eye on everything will be kept 👍

Hi just a quick comment if you have a spare cover and put two in one from front and one from the back half way each it works well to turn the hatch on the toilet cassette less chance of damage than using a bar

This build you are doing with the lorry, - where on the hell are you going use it ?All sites I have been on could not take a motorhome that size. Good luck with it though. As always good entertaining videos.

The build is looking good. Where can I buy that caravan manual from that you use? I’ve seen 4th edition Haynes Caravan Manuals for sale but they were published in 2009, a bit old I think.

Sorted the 12V problem out, turns out it was the battery charger/power supply. Changed it for a new BCA 20a one and everything is working, apart from the hot water now :/ It was working (sort of hit and miss) before, but now it remains cold to luke warm at best. The gas bottle is just under 1/4 empty I was wondering if it could be low gas pressure/flow causing the problem. My Avante 2006 ultrastore light remains green but no hot water, could it be the pilot light/spark thingy? The outside cover was removed to allow the burner to breath.
p.s If you need a welder I would be happy to help, done most welding disciplines in my time from TIG to gas. :)

Try cycling the water heater on and off, you should hear it click, ignition then burn. You can hear it from inside click and try to ignite, then outside you should be able to hear it burning the gas. Thanks for your welding offer 👍

@@thecaravanplace It appears that the gas bottle was not turned fully on. I was not aware that this could slow down the gas flow, as on larger argon/co2 bottles I only crack them open with a couple of turns in order to use them, but then again, they are under terrific pressure. I should have know that propane regs for caravans are much less and require the valve to be open fully in order to work properly. Thanks for the advice, always a pleasure ;)
