The silly thing was there is actually a permanent circuit in Valencia. Why the heck they didn't use that I will never know

Not for F1 maybe but it had been used for motorbikes, GT, World Touring Cars and GP2 (now F2) during the period before F1 and during the time when the harbour circuit was being used.
But I agree with Bernie probably using his influence to get the new track

BIC is an active circuit... Bas usme F1 nhi hota.... Joki 2025 tak aane waala hai vapis... Most probably.
