I'll assume you are not being sarcastic. FYI, I have a number of recently published books on Amazon and am finishing two more. One of my current books is "Not Your Everyday Memoir" and another is "How to Meet a Lovely Asian Girl and Bring Her Home," which I did several times in my 70s and 80s. (Current wife is 30.) But thanks, anyway. Keith
Smith & Dale, two of the greatest stars of Vaudville. This act must be about 100 years old because they did it for 70 years until one of them died years ago. Still hilarious. Ed Sullivan used to have them on his show.
OMG! The Doctorsketch of "The Sunshineboys" !!! For example the spitting at end of minute 3. I didn´t knew this duo before but they are really great :-)
Neil Simon said he based "The Doctor Sketch" on this bit. But oh, my GOD! These two really are phoning it in. I imagine after doing it as often as they had, they....probably couldn't anymore.
This must have been from an Ed Sullivan Show. Smith mentions Mr. Sullivan, his stony face and Port Chester, the town in New York where Sullivan was born.
My father and my cousin, whenever one would arrive at the other's house in the winter, would do, "Take off the coat my boy!" "The coat is off!" (It's at about 7:30 on the video). They thought it was hilarious. I never got the joke. I still don't.
I am old enough, at 92, to have seen them perform this act when vaudeville was alive and well in NYC.
Hats off to you Sir for knowing at 92 how to handle a computer!

@@BiggestRedditor… he never answered. He would be 97 now … and the wife is 33.
Keith Connes passed away in 2020 at the age of 94.
They were AS GOOD AS THEY EVER WERE! R.I.P. Smith and Dale...

Classic shtick! A real trip back to happier times. My late pop and older brother used to love their routine...
