Patrol of Time sends a squad with Loki to prevent the multiverse chaos, but Max is the danger they never 'v seen before :D

I think this is a really strong theory-and LIS is all about your choices having consequences, so I think that Max seeing some of the consequences of her PAST choices might be part of what gets explored via the alternate realities. I mean, we'll see in the fall, but I'd be happy if they planned for this!
My theory is pretty similar... that Max has so much trauma from her week spent rewinding that she never wants to rewind again. But she still has that power, so it finds a different way to express.
Now, since ep3 of the original, Max has had the power to swap between universes. For example, if she hadn't burned the photo of herself at age 13, she could have been swapping universes every time she traveled back and chose to hide William's keys or not. Her new power is basically this, except we're skipping the part where some past pivotal event gets changed. Hopefully there IS still some pivotal event and that discovering what it is is key to the mystery -- as in, what is the ultimate difference between the two universes, the thing that makes the murder happen or not? Without that, I'm not sure the new power adds up.
my theory is that this was always max's power, it was just under developed before. so when her power was trying to split the timeline, it'd rewind to the division point but her power didn't function properly so it'd simply snap backward in time instead of making a clean break. when she pauses time, you can see people shifting around, like space is all over hte place and i think that's the other timelines she's trying to create. instead of breaking like it should've it snapped like a rubber band. at the beginning of the game, she witnesses the storm BEFORE saving chloe, which tells me, at least for a short time, the two events existed in the same timeline. this only changed after max saved chloe and then suddenly it was a choice that could be made. i think she simply split the timeline like she was supposed to be able to

My current theory and my god do I hope its wrong is that some alt version of max is the actual killer of Safi for unknown reason idk why but it just feels that why with the parallel timelines and that max was the only one to find Safi so did an alt max kill Safi to prevent some world event from happening again like the Tornado? Like let's say they did some thing like make us like Safi and than do a 180 and be like it's either Chloe or Safi pick one and that's the final choice. Theres some evidence but I dont want any version of Max to be a killer 😭☠
But this is my main reasoning why Max's powers are different because it's not the OG max we know

Ok so I may not be too to far off with my theory because to add more too it what If this is some weird like Alt Max timeline revenge plot for as OG max says in the first game
"I fear I'm fucking up all these other timelines"
Might not be exactly as the same wording but what if somehow the other Max's that Max inhabited when she went to other timelines somehow knew or even the mark we left on the fireplace somehow left someone to know who ever was being Max wasn't the Max from that timeline?
To simplify it
Max 2 hates Max 1 cause Max 1 changed the reality with her rewind powers and let's say just like the butterfly effect each Max versions powers alter just slightly so maybe Max 2 couldn't undo what Max 1 did cause Max 2 doesn't have the same abilities as Max 1
This could even be the same Max that yells at OG Max in the Diner Nightmare before the end of EP5

●OG Max at the end of the first game as you see in the cutscene it may not be Max's OG timeline to begin with. Someone has to BE Max before we take over as Max in all these timelines
●EP4 Dark Room Max After Chloes Death before the Diner Photo Timeline change
If theres any other possible versions that could be a good reasoning to why any version of Max would be pissed at OG Max

@@StopMeOh honestly your theory seems to be really on the right way, and shifting between two realities, where Chloe and Arcadia Bay might be alive each in separate reality is so amazing even though we don’t know which reality is the one where either of them is alive, but I really like the thought of it, which you brought in this video and I still do hope that Chloe will somehow be shown in this game even though only for a while also depending on how we end the game and of course how people ended the original game.
Retconning Max’s powers is probably a good idea game wise, but sorry to say Deck9 has pretty much reduced choice and consequence to dialog selection and cut scenes. They took the core choice that has resonated in every game of bay vs BAE and made it completely pointless as far as its effect on Max. There’s no other overriding force behind any of this except Deck9 being hacks who are not very good making narrative games. 🤷♀️
It's not out yet, what's the point in name calling when we haven't even seen the final product yet?
@@SG-qx9ko Deck9 has invalidated the player’s choices at the end of the original Life is Strange by taking the core relationship element of PriceField and turning it into a toxic stew of remember-berries and sad so they can move on and not deal with it anymore. They’ve determined that Max has not used any powers in a decade. This is all under the pretense of “moving on” while basically putting Max in the same school environment as Blackwell, with a different mix of cringy Deck9 friends, and having her new powers emerge from a tragedy. Sound familiar? This is a retcon and reboot. The pricing of Double Exposure is bizarrely predatory with a AAA attitude that extends to the rumors of people leaving Deck9 indicating that the environment is misogynistic, toxic, and creatively bankrupt. Double Exposure is a game that was rumored even before True Colors, and is the game that a lot of LiS fans hoped would never be made. But the stupid is a real thing now and a lot of fans are grieving over the upper Deck9er dumping on a beloved IP. Also, anger is one of the 5 stages of grief, so some expressions of that need to be expected. Everyone will move on. Myself from Deck9 forever. 😂

Alex Can read émotions a "Real" ability but they show colors around people and to tennager to adulte his power Can be the same and got no change.
Max power is not a "Real" ability, it's not true in Real life so his power Can not really be explain with no imaginary explaination, but for double exposure power i have a theorie.
Max power appear when William die and she leave Chloe but she didn't know it, and when she save Chloe 5 years After she have (Rewind ability, pictures Travel, Stopping Time)
In comics 1 year After destroy Arcadia, she Can (Rewind, using pictures, see (accidently) multiple reality in this one, for the first Time using a photo and go in Whatever reality, Rewind only for a item, and mix his power with someone else (for no spoilers 🙂)
So maybe the years between Life is Strange 1 and Double Exposure she stop using his power and his power keep evolve for be this result.
