With Max Caulfield as the protagonist of the new upcoming title, will Chloe make an appearance or cameo? What happened to her if you decided to sacrifice Arcadia Bay? Will her and Max reunite?

Chloe price is essential to max’s story in life is strange as far as I’m concerned
To reduce her to at the very least nothing but a cameo is an insult at best And is disregarding 75% of the community I need to see Chloe in the game as an actual character or I will not be playing it’s an absolute dealbreaker
I just hope that the picture of Chloe isn’t the only appearance she makes, because that will be such a letdown. We know they’re together in Life is Strange 2 if Chloe is kept alive. Hopefully she’s voiced by Ashly, because she is Chloe to me.
I think the clip with the picture is from the sacrifice Chloe ending. Could be that if you chose to sacrifice the town Chloe will play a big role
But what if most of the playerbase chose to sacrifice her?
imagine if max carries a photo just in case she ever wants to go back. as we know max can go into the photo's, based of this, she should be able to go into the photo and be with chloe again
In the Lis: before the storm - bonus episode titled 'farewell', at the ending Chloe listens to an audio tape recording, hinting that future Max recorded that audio tape. Hinting that Max will time travel one last time to fix the ending
@@percyforsyth born with powers is a good idea. This is probably true, if not, another theory is that, when Max was in Seattle she was most of the time in the Seattle hospital. Maybe Nathan's dad was testing with a new time travel vaccine and Max was the Prescott's test subject in the hospital. Obviously Nathan is the second time traveler, which is hinted in an official unreleased audio recording where Nathan screams: I'm not crazy, you have to believe me, the storm will come. Hinting that Nathan has time travel powers. Another clue is Nathan's nosebleeds and headaches are probably due to using his powers. Nathan's body and mind probably wasn't a good match for the time travel powers with the amount of medicine he had to use to compensate for side effects. Nathan's dad could have injected his own son with a time travel drug - because the Prescotts are all about gaining power.
I think she'll be in text communication with Max if you tell Safi you sacrificed Arcadia Bay & will show up in the game at least a couple times, probably with Ashly Burch voicing her.
But she won't play a central role in the game, as this is advertised as a Max Caulfield adventure.
I think Max might visit Away too, maybe in Chapter 3, and we'll get to see David, Karen, and Daniel. And more convo options will help determine which LiS2 ending Daniel comes from. (Sean won't appear.)
Of course, this is just rampant speculation.
I wish i knew which religion is the real one, so i could convert and pray effectively for this ^^

Me personally i THINK when safi asked about why max is carrying a photo of chloe in her wallet and why we saw a photo of chloe in the sneak peak is because thats probably the gameplay we have been given if we chose to sacrifice chloe. I personally do think that if theres two different timelines within life is strange double exposure depending on our choices of the first game there will be somewhat drastically different outcomes ( well atleast id hope so ). I believe if that is the case theyre only show-casing the sacrifice chloe outcome because they probably want to keep it a secret and have it be a massive surprise when we actually play the game. Maybe im wrong or maybe im not, cannot wait to see
thats my guess and hope too, that they are deliberately keeping the Chloe situation vague to create hype and anticipation, as this is THE question, especially when the Bae/pricefield part of the fandom is very vocal and.. activistic, almost as much as the "chloe sucks/bay all the way" crowd.
Its basically like christians praising jesus in every science topic and pedantic atheists trolling every religious topic lol.
I doubt whether they will be as dumb to risk alienating a big part of the fanbase, especially now they gave part of the players a head start on playing the game, so most people will know the answer from them before buying. I wouldnt buy a forced bay/Max&chloe separated game and i think im not alone in that. And they know it too...
@@Kira-zy2ro I completely agree with you on that. I do believe that they wouldn't be stupid enough to not bring chloe back, we know for certain now that neither ending is canonised which is a MASSIVE RELIEF. There's always the possibility they won't bring chloe back in a big way and she is just that, a mention. But I highly doubt that's the case. Like you said, they're giving access to players 2 weeks earlier so them not bringing her back will turn the rest of us off from the game. Although I have a gut feeling chloe will maybe be mentioned or hinted throughout episodes 1 and 2 then make an actual appearance for the rest of the game in episode 3. I don't know if that's how it'll pan out, I hope not. But I see them doing that because that's when the full game is available, like let us play the first two episodes and think she's not gonna show up but then bam introduce her somehow some way in the 3rd episode 😂 it's all speculation at the end of the day but it'll be interesting to see how this all pans out. 29TH OF OCTOBER COULDN'T COME ANY SOONER!!! As to Rachel? well if we go parallel universe, anything is possible. Though the girl pointed out in one video discussing the trailer (dont know if it was this one, seen too many lol) as possibly rachel.. was safi as far as i could see.
But, i wrote some fanfic myself where Max brings rachel back after a lot of drama, and if i can write it, so can they, i didnt even need to enhance max powers to do it so with that its even easier :)
I am all for Rachel not dying (not that im a big Amberprice fan, but hey the poor girl doesnt have to be dead to have pricefield!)
Anyhow when i played LiS1 i never got the impression Chloe and Rachel had a romance. More that Chloe imprinted on Rachel as her lifeline when she lost everything and max ghosted her. I get that D9 couldnt resist adding the romance option in BTS, and i dont dislike it being in there in the least, its just that the narrative in LiS1 doesnt really show it to me.

Hi there,
First of all, let me preface this by saying that I'm a creative writer and a narrative designer with a few shipped products under my belt, and Life is Strange was THE game that gave me the push I needed to pursue this career. So I'm eternally grateful to that game.
So, to me and based fully on narrative, there's only one correct choice at the end of LiS. Everyone of course can have their preferred one, and that's how it should be. It's your story after all. But, taking into account that Deck Nine says they respect both endings, writing this sequel is going to be a tad tricky. But it's still better than just canonizing one ending and pissing off half of the fanbase (last time I replayed LiS, the ending choice was something like 49% vs 51%).
That said, there's this saying in narrative, especially with interactive stories: "If a character can die, consider them dead in the sequel". While a tad contrived, it essentially means that giving the experiencer (player, reader, etc) the possibility to impact on any character's fate, it would be easier to consider them not present in the sequel. And this is why Bioware struggles with their Dragon Age and Mass Effect series. That saying also takes into consideration the new experiencer, who has no prior knowledge of what happened in prior installments, and then doesn't feel alienated because of that. But, it also affects long-time fans, since they might expect the character to return. So how is this done in games?
Four possibilities: Never mention the character (not good, especially not for long-time fans), mention character and explain why they're not around (not good, can feel a bit cheat-y towards fans), have the character be present, if applicable (best, but it requires much more effort, resources and time. Extremely heavy on development), or have the character make a cameo with explanation why they're not actively present, if applicable (the most common way, which is usually enough to appease everyone, if one well). My guess is that Chloe, if alive, will make some sort of cameo here, and it's explained during the game why she's not around actively. Texts, phone calls, short cameo, is what I think will happen.
But with Chloe, there's one more thing to consider. It's very heavily implied that Max and Chloe have romantical feelings towards one another in LiS, but not every player wants that. LiS 2, apparently (I have not played that game), mentions Max & Chloe living together (if that ending was chosen), a clever way to handwaive that problem, since living together can mean either way. I am curious to see what Deck Nine will do with this. The most obvious way is to give the player the option to choose the nature of said relationship, and reflect that in dialogue.
But, I am sure Chloe Price will show up in Double Exposure, if she's currently alive. Deck Nine would not take the risk to anger such a large portion of the fanbase (I have seen the passion of LiS fans, there would be rage), if they can help it. There is a way to respect both the endings and the fans, but it would require clever writing. Is Deck Nine up for the task? LiS is such a beloved game, so hopefully they'll do their best.

That's amazing that LiS gave you the push you needed to pursue your career, it's a game that can change lives, in many ways for many different people! I too believe that Chloe will make a cameo for people who chose to sacrifice AB. After all, Max went through so much trouble in Episode 5 to keep Chloe alive, traversing across many realities, so you're correct, it'd cause outrage if D9 were to totally disregard Chloe's existence despite her being alive in this timeline. I just really hope they tackle this correctly. After all, you can't please everybody, but you also don't want to disappoint everyone either. They sure have some boots to fill!
Well, now we know Chloe has to be appeared as cameo that's matter for most LiS fan as an answer at least. Denne videoen kvaliteter er så mye flott, veldig kul jobb Sparxxyy (The video quality improve a lot, very cool job Sparxxyy).
I think if Chloe is not dead she will make a return and if she is dead she will pop up in the parallel universe to help Max solve the murder of her friend. It's clear Max still has feelings for her when you see he slump back down on her bed after looking at the photo. I would like to think there still together but puit the relationship on hold while Max is away on campus. The dream is to have Ashley back but Rhianna did a good job with Chloe there where times where she sounded just like her. Of course Ashley helped her in getting into Chloes mind.Even if it say has 5 episodes which is unlikely maybe 3 like BTS and maybe Chloe will come back with Max in a bonus game. I keep checking Rhianna DeVries and Ashley's wiki pages to seee if there is credit for LIS Double Exposure nothing yet but that don't mean to say it wont in the near future. So many theories flying around and it's only been confirmed a week ago. Less then 5 months of wondering.

We can go with multiverse theory. If the comics follow the path of saving Chloe, we can use the game as the path of saving Arcadia Bay. That way, possibilities are endless.
Imagine if at the end of the game you are about to save Safi and you hear Chloes voice call out for max .and the final decision will be who to save between them both
i really wish chloe was a significant character in the new game, regardless i’m so grateful we finally get to see max in action again.
i just really hope they don’t screw up max and chloe’s relationship because in my mind (and factual) i definitely believed what they had was greater then anything romantic, they really loved each other.
despite what a lot of people had to say, i get what they’re coming from, but max and chloe’s story is too tragic and complicated to be fully comprehended. i love them so much, and i really do see them as endgame. so i highly doubt they would’ve broken up. (with the save bae ending)
i believe that the picture in the wallet thing is a cutscene you get ONLY for those who sacrificed bae, if that makes sense. it’s entirely not included for those who’s chloe is alive and well.
During the live stream, the developers from Deck Nine revealed, that Max has been living a kind of "nomadic" life, seeking abandoned and desolate places to photograph. Maybe, if you chose to keep Chloé alive, she was part of that journey, and is simply waiting for Max' residency at Caledon University to end, and resume traveling with her? Maybe she is staying with David during that time, who knows? The possibilites are endless 🙂 Anyway... I know people will hate me for this but... #BayOverBae SORRY NOT SORRY 🤣

My worry with Chloe not being there is that they switched VA for her in Before the Storm so they didn’t have to pay Ashley Burch more bc she was in a union. I doubt she would work with Deck Nine again after that, but who knows. She’s also rose to so much stardom since LIS so just a cameo of Chloe for her wouldn’t be a good deal. But hey, fingers crossed!

It makes total sense Chloe and Max will have some sort of separation. Chloe has a tendency to lash out on people close to her (something she inherited from Rachel I think) and Max,before her rewind abilities was always running from any confrontation. With rewind gone I can see Chloe making Max feel guilty everytime Arcadia Bay /Joyce comes up in a conversation and eventually Max will bounce

or Chloe could die anyway, i doubt Deck Nine would do that because of possible outrage but all of LiS one is trying to get Chloe killed to stablize the timeline, and it remain unstable if chloe continues living
@@channel45853i always thought that the logic of choosing to save chloe being a choice is because u can choose to finally set in stone that she lives. the storm is the consequence of saving chloe and max pays for that by letting the storm happen. the whole point is she stops the storm and lets chloe die or let the storm(consequence for chloe living) happen and keep chloe.
This game has surprises. Of course they won’t reveal her. It’ll just take away another big surprise. But I don’t think she’ll be the same character. Maybe she’ll be different in the other realities.

A lot of people do it if there are still feelings there. They could have broken up, but still care about one another. After all, Chloe was/is a very important person in her life whether they were romantically involved or not.

I am gonna be upset if they broke up max and chloe. If she is working apart for a while or something it's fine, mabee she is in the game. The comics say they are a couple and living together in AB after its rebuilt.
Most peopel thought about life is strange does sort of have a canon ending thought the game devs have thoughten that tfact the save chloe ending is the right ending since then lean into a comic book sires called life is strange dusk wich does recon itself in away thanks to max being forced to let chloe die at the end of the comic book so chloe is dead casnon but take a whole comic book for that ending to happen even thought the comice ook deos recon itself from the timeline thank to the timeline sort of resteting itsself all so that how max get this mulvert warping power by the time of this new game she alreading have the power but thanks to the timeline her power to warp thought diffrent domcaion is sort asleep until this new game that what i belive at least and is what the casnon sending should be thanks to the comic book having Lore even thought it removes itself

"We were high school sweethearts" is such a weird option. At no point were they in high school together. Anyway, it does sound like Chloe isn't really in Max's life anymore. And they hinted at romance options, so I'm sure they want to leave Max open for those. It's a bold choice by decknine, that's for sure.
Right? Glad i’m not the only one that has issues with the “we were high school sweethearts” and “we were best friends” choices. Both undervalue their relationship i feel

DeckNine decided to make a game with Max. Max` Magic is a part of her relationchip with Chloe. There is no Max without Chloe
At the moment, I think Deck Nine, Square-Enix and possibly Ashly Burch are keeping quiet about Chloe because they want us to be surprised when she makes an appearance. But who knows? Maybe she'll only appearance in the photos or conversations? Maybe she'll make an appearance in a phone/video call? Or maybe she'll make an appearance in the last episode kind of like David did in Life is Strange 2 or how Michael J Fox made his cameo appearance in Back to the Future the Game?
We'll have to wait and see...
You just reduced my heart rate to normal levels, i was SO worried about Chloe and either timeline getting canonised (although i couldnt believe they would be that dumb as it would cost them sales, notably mine) . I guess autumn 24 will be like the most exciting time in the last 20 years. And, we will get the new life is strange game in time to finish it before the US election decides whether the world will end in early 25 or not. At least we will have had another LiS game, no matter what happens!
If anyone wants a continuation of the timeline from when max saves Chloe u should turn to the comics very amazing and cannon from what I understand ❤

Seeing a picture of her sitting that you were high school sweet hearts is NOT respecting your choices you sacrificed an February town doll of your friends and family for her. If chloe isn't still on Max's life the spirit of our choices is not being respected at all
I think it's likely the gameplay we were shown was from the sacrifice Chloe ending. So I imagine if you chose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay and tell the game that when you play, the context of the conversation will change to suit your choices.
the developers for DE, saying that you can start with this game without playing the other is such a slap in the face to the dedicated players who's have been waiting about 9-10 years?
that doesnt have to mean much. You can play LiS2 and TC: wavelengths without LiS1 too, when you get the choice you can just go "whatever..." or try both. It mostly means that the previous game isnt referenced in such a way that you need to have knowledge from LiS1 to understand whats going on.
It just means theyre making it accessible for new players to the series. They also said they're providing for the long-time fans as well

@@Owen01 I get what you mean, but none of what happened in LiS1 has to have much influence on what the player needs to know to play DE.
The only real thing is the determinant choices about the ending of LiS1 and that could simply be a few questions "did you play LiS1? If yes: what did you choose, If no: do you want to make these choices or do we randomize?"
For the rest, even if they would, for example have Max get a call from Kate marsh to talk about some stuff and there is some reminiscing about the past, it can be significant to both: Nostalgia for returning players, some background info and character deepening for new players. All depends on how good the writers are.
I look at it as it is in LiS1.. LiS1 is also a continuation of a story, just one we never got to see: the story about Chloe losing her dad and max moving away and somehow losing contact. When we meet Chloe in her truck (for max it is a reunion, for the player it is the first time) we have to pick from 4 options to say to Chloe when she asks wtf max didnt contact her.
We make that choice without any knowledge of why exactly it happened, we basically get to pick the past we feel is appropriate. We can be sassy to her, or we can ask understanding that max had it hard too, etc,
The same thing would apply to new DE players who dont know the first story. They will just pick what they feel is correct or what path seems most dramatic to them.
The choice you see in the trailer "She was a high school friend/She was a high school sweetheart" can be made pure on what sounds interesting, just like the "excuse" given to Chloe in the truck is. No pre existing knowledge needed, it just makes the choice deeper and profound if you do have the knowledge, otherwise its just the player shaping their version of Max and making a backstory.
A LiS2 player who never played LiS1 could just pick either bay or bae and never know the difference. They can hear david on the phone and think "ah hes talking to his daughter, how cute" or see "oh he lost his daughter, that sucks!" and a LiS1 player will be sobbing at the screen lol. In the same way, the talk Sean has with the blogger when the look out over Arcadia Bay is still profound even if we dont know LiS1. Thats simply the mark of good storytelling.
@@Kira-zy2ro i'm not saying that you need to know the ins and outs of the first game to understand DE. but people who have waited so long for another title starting max, just for everything we've worked on and all the friendships/relationships we built up will have no affect? leaving characters behind like, chloe, rachel, kate, dana..who could easily be the centre of a title starting max. Introducing a new charchter and and slapping max on the front of the game feels like a cheap cash grab

Max: Choice 1: It was probably about how the most prestigious Highschool there had one of the most horrid predators as it's photography teacher. And I helped bust him.
Choice 2: It was probably covering the massive tornado that decimated the whole town, and killed most of the population.

Safi: Well who is the blue haired girl in your wallet?
Max: You snooped?!
Safi: Stop deflecting! Who is she!
(Max chooses just friends or high-school sweethearts)

Max: And she was unfortunately shot in the bathrooms by some snobby rich boy.
Safi: What?! Oh my god im so sorry Max. Was he caught?!
Max: Yes right after it happened. His trial took place a few years ago.

Max: And she and I traveled everywhere together after that storm for a bit. She lost her mother but became really close to her stepfather. They hated eachother but finally made amends about a year after the storm. They are still in touch.
Safi: Well are YOU still in touch with her?
Max: Yeah totally. She just wasn't able to come out here with me of course. We just wanted different things. We decided that although we were splitting ways, we'd still remain friends. (The previous line works for both options being high-school sweet hearts or just friends) She actually recently started a band and they are kinda on the rise!

I don’t really want her to be in it much. I played the game as if they were friends and while I like her and everything I much preferred Max. I was kinda sad the game got overshadowed a bit by the whole Bae thing. I was quite happy with how it ended, I thought the funeral and the butterfly was very sweet. So I hope my wishes are taken into account too and I can play it without that being forced onto me because it wasn’t canon after all. My Max chose to save the town, and my Chloe agreed with that decision and I’m happy with that and it’s be weird if suddenly she came back and Max was a lesbian because again that wasn’t canon. That being said, surely she has to be in it for people who chose to save her. I’d be very sad if they don’t at least get some nice explanation as to where and how she is.
They'll definitely take into account the people that chose to sacrifice Chloe. I think the game will take two different directions in terms of dialogue and references based on what you clarified you chose. After all, Deck Nine did confirm that DE will honour either decision the player made. No ending is canon, Dontnod confirmed this. It's all down to how you interpret it.
You could only romance Warren in Life is Strange 1.
I don't mind the ship but that is more fanmade then actually canon, no?
In 1, you could only be best friends who kissed once as a dare and a joke. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities for them to be romantic but that was not an option in the first game. Warren was though.
If Max was romantic with Warren in the first game, then that should be something the new game references, even with the LiS 1 time reset, I doubt a Max in love with Warren wouldn't try to get with him again. I know that Warren is a controversial character but if they are making a continuation of the first game then they need to address him despite the fandom.
There is a journal entry a lot of people miss in Life is Strange 1 after the nightmares Max has. She admits that Chloe is more than her best friend & that the nightmares about Chloe being cruel affected her a lot. Saying word for word “Is that the power of friendship… or love?”
I feel like Chloe is definitely a romance option, as well as Warren. It’s not just about being able to kiss her, even if it is just a dare, but their interactions there after cross the line of platonic friendship in my opinion, it’s just subtle :) I mean, if you choose to sacrifice her, based on the choices you made throughout the game, Max & Chloe share another kiss at the end, which kinda solidified Chloe as a romance option for me

Highly doubt it. The authors showed us that Warren in the end became a nightmare event for Max. Even Chloe and Elliot is a better ship
I’m a Nathan empathizer so I did choose bay over bae because it’s the morally right choice but also the only timeline where Nathan gets a chance at getting the help he needs. A timeline where he doesn’t have to die like the others. That’s all I could ask for. He was dealing with mental health issues as well as substance abuse and neglect. To top it off a monster prayed on him… this game always gave me chills
Thanks for being open-minded about the possibility of Chloe and Max separating and moving on with life. A lot of fans are, understandably, too emotionally invested in that relationship to accept that very real possibility. As much as I would love for Chloe to make a return as a major character in DE (that would so cool!), I’m happy to give it a chance regardless

This is true. And in the Lis: before the storm - bonus episode titled 'farewell', at the ending Chloe listens to an audio tape recording, hinting that future Max recorded that audio tape. Hinting that Max will time travel one last time to fix the ending and save Chloe. So both endings are likely canon
Life is Strange was never about Chloe price. It was about Max (a friend) abusing a power bestowed upon her unknowingly, starting a butterfly effect by abusing said powers, and now has to fix the very thing she broke with the thing she abused in the first place. They've even confirmed so that sacrificing Chloe was the canon ending. (on the off chance they change the game to appeal the angry gays) Even if she's in the game? Max has a ring on her finger. She HAS NEW LOVE INTERESTS! It's 10 years, and Chloe in and of herself IS a narcissistic and selfish character. She doesn't even show any empathy for her actions until after she's faced the repercussions. Not blaming her trauma either, because you can't blame her for acting that way; but you can't completely pin everything morally. Subjectively you don't just treat people negatively like she does.
She's not the heart, as i've mentioned, and i'm glad they're focusing on the REAL direction they want. Instead of going onto different storylines. We're getting 3 games, icluding double exposure, a set of CANON comics, and we're finally getting answers! plus possible what if games (like if rachel lived). Be happy with what we have, and just simply enjoy the ride! they're going all in on LiS. I think with the t.v show in the works too? It's gonna be awesome! there's no need to be negatively constructive or negatively judgemental of a game that hasn't even come out yet. JUST BECAUSE we never saw a character who canonically (confirmed from a dev) dies. Even if Max saved chloe she's constantly in danger because of timeline mess. the universe TRIES to kill her and everything that doesn't belong. It's cool either way, but don't be upset at a developer for picking a direction just because YOUR character isn't in it. Be happy for the story that's unfolding.
You lost me in the first 7 words of your comment. Life is Strange absolutely is about Chloe, just as much as it Max. Without Chloe, Max likely would not have discovered her powers. Also, Chloe has an entire game, so i disagree. They did not confirm a canon ending either. God forbid people have critiques these days, can’t stop people getting upset i guess
I haven’t said anything negative about the new game. Whether Chloe is in it or not, it won’t change my opinion on the entire project. It’d definitely be cool to see her or there be a cameo, but if not, nbd for me! It’s fun to theorise about the many possibilities of the directions this game could take. LiS1 may be about Max, but Chloe is a big part of the story and at this stage, she’s a big part of Max’s character from what we know, regardless of what ending you chose.

Also you might wanna fact check instead of listening to random tiktok or youtube news. You're free to dm any dev as well. Multiple times they've confirmed that the CANONICAL ending is chloe dying. Get over your bias. If you were critiquing and not insulting there'd be different comments about your post. Chloe is apart of the story too, but the WHOLE FOCUS is max caulfield saving her friends. It's not just about chloe. You have Kate, finding rachel, Chloe, Victoria(if you wanna count that, but she's more so j character development so you don't gotta count her if you don't want to). I appreciate your opinion, even if wrong, it's respectable that you love the character, but please keep an open mind to keep the game relevant not a lgbt cashgrab!
@@Sparxxyy I'll agree, she's apart of Max's development, yes, but she's not there anymore. The game is about Max, and this game is the exact same. I'm just tired of hearing "This game's gonna be shit, Chloe's not in it" and it literally has like 5 months till release... 4ish if you get a preorder which is 30 less expensive than popular titles like cod, elden ring, and so on. I appreciate your comments tho! Thanks for clearing up some stuff, however, they've confirmed a lot. I prefer accuracy than speculation.
