Stainless Steel Self tappers. Also u can some red on the floor towards the end. I snapped a couple of Chalk lines to make sure I hit the stringers. Good luck.

Also I didn’t hide the screws. Left them exposed. If I ever have to remove the floor. I won’t destroy the vinyl.

How did you remove the side pieces of wood after the middle was removed on the main floor?

Pulled the vinyl off first. This exposed the self tappers (several rusted bad). Some the heads were rusted so bad they snapped off. For the rest I used a saws all to remove the heads. Have to be careful not cutting the supports. Good Luck

Great job with this! When screwing thru the vinyl (versus under), any issues or concerns with seeping water through? Any sealant used when screwing? Also, I've read using SS screws might have some galvanic reaction w/ Aluminum (not sure what the alternative to SS would be...don't think Aluminum rivets could be done)? Thoughts?

I went to the Local Lund Dealer before installing and the screws I used were the same (SS) screws they use. They said never have had an issue with any reaction to aluminum. Also when screwing them into the vinyl, the screw heads press into the vinyl. Water tight? Probably not, but pretty close. If it is a concern I would suggest a dab of silicone on bottom of each head but IMHO not necessary. Good Luck
