I'm excited for the Maine vlog. I'm not sure where you're going but Maine is where I was born and raised up until about 4-4.5 years ago. I moved to Southeast Virginia when I was almost 24, and I'm almost 28 now and I haven't been able to make it back. I LOVE solo travelling! Also as a fellow people pleaser, I found that I didn’t feel the pressure to ‘make a plan’ when I solo travelled because I didn’t feel like I needed to make sure someone else had a good time 😕 I’d make full itineraries based around me feeling like I wasn’t fun enough to just exist with that person on a trip… now I love just existing all on my own in new and exciting places ☺️☺️

Me too! I love to do things on the spur of the moment when I travel, and I enjoy going solo.
I've lived in Boston for 25 years and seeing it through the eyes of someone exploring it for the first time made me super grateful to live in a really gorgeous city. Oh and apparently you can get Kane's Donuts shipped anywhere through Gold Belly (it's suuuuper pricey though).

Im gluten free and I cried tears of joy when you ate those donuts. I can 100% relate when you find a place that makes gluten free things you can eat and havent had in years its an amazing thing.
Same here! By the way, Lane’s will deliver nationwide through Goldbelly. Expensive but I did place an order because finally being able to have donuts and not the ‘cake’ kind) is priceless to me!

Boston! I'm 20 minutes south, right on the coast between Boston and Cape Cod. Been here my whole life and love it. I have had so many field trips, with me growing up and chaperoning my kids' classes, at that Aquarium. One of my sons is in high school, working his butt off trying to get into Harvard. Say a prayer for my bank account.
I love everything about this vlog! First and foremost, because you are THRIVING Michel and we love to see it! I'm so incredibly happy for you! Secondly, I grew up in a city about 45 minutes outside of Boston (I now live in FL), and going into the city was one of my favorite things to do and I miss it so much! I lived in Boston for 15 years and it’s honestly the perfect place to do a little solo exploration as “Boston proper” is pretty small and made to be on foot. It’s always nice to be reminded of how lovely and charming my former home truly is. ❤
(also…Nine Zero was my go-to staycation hotel. I’ve stayed in doubles, suites, and the Cloud Nine penthouse before it was renovated. It has changed immensely since covid - some of the best room service breakfast in town before the pandemic changed their service level. It is my favorite Kimpton but you’re right, things have changed😢).

I'm so hap;py that you get soothing vacations by yourself. They're so very important. I completely understand a lot of your struggles. I went through a sudden and very painful divorce. That was in 2015, and it's still painful. I also have Lupus (along with many other painful illnesses). I get it, girl.

Loved this start to finish! Like finding mom and pop bookstores on my travels.. I like to pick up a book from a local author or one on my destination city/area. Aquariums have always been a possible activity wherever I go. Definitely one of my happy places. 😊
There is something fun about being on your own traveling. You can just follow every whim, and there's something exciting about seeing where the wind takes you. I solo traveled to Africa, also had some solo time in NYC. Fun!
I'm a celiac too and believe me I know that feeling of not tasting something you haven't had in a long time I tear up too it's an amazing feeling, thanks for bringing us love you 💖💖💖

A lot of historical people are buried in those cemeteries. There was one with Samuel Adams and one with Paul Revere when I traveled there. Boston is such a wonderful walking town. So much to see everywhere.
