I just finished binge watching your videos since you publicly announced you were getting a divorce to the latest one. I’m a new subscriber here!! And Wow, let me just say you have easily become my favorite person here on RUclips. Although, I’m in a very loving, committed relationship, you gave me this unwavering sense of hope that no matter what happens, there is always new beginnings. And that they can be so damn beautiful. You are a rockstar. And if you haven’t been told today, you are changing lives. Your story is helping others. So thank you! And I hope you have an awesome day today. ☺️
You should visit the central coast in California. Towns like San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, Morro Bay, Pismo/Shell Beach, Avila Beach, or Cambria/San Simeon, CA. Small towns (all a drive away from on another)- beach towns, coffee shops, hiking/nature and thrifting!
This is the first RUclips comment that I'm writing. I actually am quite shy and never comment, although I always watch and like your videos to show my support :) I have been following since your divorce video was up, and I have enjoyed every video since. You are such a joy to watch and your videos bring me so much happiness, specially since I am home sick with covid. Watching you living your best life is absolutely beautiful and inspiring, and I will definitely be sticking around :) I wish you nothing but the best! I don't live in the US so I can't reccomend any towns to visit, but I think you would love Bruges (Belgium), Berlin (Germany), and a few towns in Portugal (such as Lisbon, Cascais, etc). Also, do you have by any chance a PO box where we could send you mail? I would love to send you a postcard! Sending you lots of love xxx
Love McKay's and Five Daughters. We also love staying at Opryland Hotel. Thomasville GA is a wonderful little town in south Georgia. I went to a Keller's Creations scrapbooking event there last January and had a wonderful day in town. Lots of shops and Jonah's is wonderful place to eat (not sure it has gluten free but delicious down home cooking with a little twist on some of the recipes.)
If you want beautiful, cute towns to visit, Long Island has many. I'm a North Shore girl so Cold Spring Harbor (It's a Billy Joel album), Huntington, Northport, Stony Brook, Port Jefferson......on one fork is the Hamptons and Montauk, on the other is Greenport - love Greenport, wineries......lots to see - you'll definitely need a car! But I'm from the area so if you decide to come I can help you navigate the waters.....which we are surrounded by, BTW.
What a fun vlog! You might enjoy Heber and Midway, Utah. Midway is the home of “Swiss Days.” Super cute! There’s a German town called Leavenworth in Washington you might enjoy too, then head over to Snoqualmie Falls and Mount Rainier. 🤗
You should visit Traverse City, Mi! It is an adorable midsize town with so many fun coffee shops, touristy things, cute neighborhoods, and nature preservation areas.
Me too! I love your channel Michel. Going through same thing and although a lot older than you I find your videos so comforting. Thank you. From Wisconsin ❤️
You should plan a fall foliage trip to Asheville area and drive on the blue ridge parkway and go the a fall festival/apple picking in Hendersonville! Immaculate smaller town vibes 🥰 we did that last fall because we live in Florida so fall isn’t the same here & it was the best trip I’ve ever been on Also I grew up a couple hours from Nashville in KY & then lived there some during and after college & it was so neat to see it through your lens just exploring it for the first time 😊💖
Asheville and Hendersonville are wonderful. My brother lives in Flat Rock. LOVE it there. Also Brevard, NC is somewhere I love to visit when I'm visiting.
My BF and I take a trip to Asheville every year! Amazing hiking, breweries (we r beer nerds), and a really cool art scene! galleries all over the city.
I would suggest if you want a cute small town, Scenic views and shops check out Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island, MI. You'll find shops, restaurants, forts ect. The island is a nice day trip. You can walk or bike around the island and all the homes on the island are so cute!! There is butterfly Observatory on the island. Definitely worth checking out. Oh and there are no cars on the island but there are horses.
I grew up in Stillwater, MN which is the “birthplace of Minnesota,” and the most adorable historic river town. It has great little coffee shops, historic vibes, and usually has some fun events going on! You should check it out!
not in the US but Budapest in Hungary has amazing coffee shops and is so scenic. If you want something a little closer, Halifax, Nova Scotia or the island of PEI are both amazing, as is Okotoks Alberta!
You have to check out Savannah, Georgia! I visited there for the first time this year and fell in love! It's literally the most charming little town and the architecture and parks are soooo aesthetically pleasing.
Hello from a Nashville native! You saw a lot, and we are very much a smaller version of Austin. Some other places you might want to check out are Chattanooga, TN and Asheville, NC. Very scenic towns, Asheville is so beautiful and very artsy. There's about a million coffee shops there, you'd love it!
Girl this video was so aesthetic and I noticed the extra effort you put into making us feel like we were with you. Setting up the camera on the ground to walk by when I know you had to go back and get it. Oh and the pink petals! Man I wish I was there a gf treat sounds yummy 😋. Commenting halfway through but thank you so far for the adventure it brightened my day
For your thrifted pictures for your gallery wall, you should tape I note behind the pictures that says where you got it, the date, and maybe even a photo of you from the trip 😁
I am so glad you had fun in Nashville and got to meet Chloe in person. I started watching Chloe because of you and I like her a lot. What a beautiful addition to your gallery wall.
This vlog was so cute! Very relaxing and uplifting. 💗If you ever come back to Nashville, I'd recommend downtown Franklin (south of Nashville), especially during festivals they have a few times a year! It's very charming and has those old timey vibes. And during the holidays Opryland has beautiful Christmas lights and activities! Can't wait to see where you go next!☺💞
If you want a true small town experience with Amish, old town vibes, a candy store, antique mall, candle shop, and ice cream parlor as the main attractions, you should go to Grabill, Indiana! That’s where I grew up, and it’s absolutely adorable!
I smiled from start to finish on this vlog. I grew up in Nashville and seeing you visit all these spots felt so nostalgic for me. And it’s very wild the timing of your trip because as you arrived, I was at the airport flying back to Baltimore after a visiting family for a week 😂
If you ever visit Nova Scotia (where I am from) I think you would like Halifax but also really recommend you take a day to visit Wolfville (about an hour from Halifax), it's a really cute little town and I think you would like it:)
Have you spent much time in Carmel or Monterey? They are small coastal towns just south of San Francisco, and have beautiful beaches and great food! Also, I wanted to let you know that the end card on your videos still has your old IG handle. Thank you for taking us along on your travels. You’ve actually inspired me to book a solo night away 🤗
Love whenever you collaborate with Chloe❤️and love all these travel blogs as I am blessed to live vicariously through your choices🙏🏻 Is there any way for you to post your music utilized in your videos? Your music is so curated and I love it❤️
I’ve heard great things about Thomasville, Georgia! It is high on my ‘quaint small town’ bucket list. Be sure to stop into the bookshelf if you go. Annie Jones is the owner and has a great bookish podcast. She will also surely have plenty of great local recommendations. She describes it like a little Stars Hollow.
I’ll add Cashiers and Highlands, North Carolina. It is the most quaint (but full of good food, shops, waterfalls, and hiking) Hallmark-esque east coast mountain town.
I'm so glad you visited my home state! I live just south of Nashville, and it has a special place in my heart. Five Daughters, Frothy Monkey, Barista Parlor, and McKay's are major favorites of mine. :D (And I remember visiting that Farmer's Market as a kid!)
I’m glad you enjoyed your trip to nashville. I live just outside of nash and love it! Frothy monkey is my favorite so good call stopping there on your first day ☺️ I’m not positive but I think Germantown, though originally inhabited by German immigrants in the 1800s, was predominantly inhabited by black populations in the mid 1900s and early 2000s. Then, the area underwent gentrification which is why it doesn’t have a german cultural feel.
Love your travel vlogs, you've inspired me to go on solo trips as well more! Didn't know your Mom's side of the family was german (so am I), do you know where in Germany they are from?
Also maybe weird but if you end up going, message me! I’d love to show you cool stuff. I’m your age and have been through similar life experiences and love your channel
I also enjoy small cities, the little nooks and crannies of cute stores and unknown marks are adorable. Google maps should help find parking and also show you prices. So you don’t have to pay $9 haha
So cute. Would love to see Nashville at some point. Good job covering the cool coffee shops. Loved it. And love Chloe ❣️. You two together was adorable 🙂. Be well
I'm partial because I live in beautiful Arizona! It's scenic everywhere but Sedona is gorgeous. Also good food and coffee there! I'm a new sub from Chloe's channel!
You should check out Waxahachie, TX for a weekend trip. It's 30 minutes south of Dallas and is known as the Crepe Myrtle and Gingerbread Capital of Texas. Gingerbread refers to the amount of Victorian homes that have the really ornate details to make them look like Gingerbread houses. We have tours of them and everything! We have a beautiful historic downtown courthouse and square full of local coffee shops, restaurants, antique shops, and boutiques. We even have an outdoor amphitheater and a collection of large mural hearts, called the Hachie Hearts that you can go look for around town. On the weekends there is a fairly large farmers market as well. We have several big festivals throughout the year, with our next being the 4th of July parade when the Crepe Myrtles will be in full bloom. It's a super easy drive straight down I-35 from Dallas too, so you could do things in the bigger city too. It would probably remind you a lot of Boerne, but a little bigger. Texas has some pretty cool small towns!
Good morning michel happy Thursday morning and I just wanted to say that your vlogs is amazing I loved your channel and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Chattanooga, TN, #NOTSPONSERED and Lookout Mountain GA, mins, at most from Cha and they hang glide on hwy 189 Too, there’s the (new-ish) (NICE)Westin Hotel or The Chattanoogan (?) Downtown Chattanooga. Northshore is AWESOME, it’s a fun place, esp in early summers IMHO. There’s also the TN river with so much to do. Walking bridge over the river. Cloudland Canyon (beautiful) is the 30-45 minutes, Lookout Mountain, GA
I'm watching you travel while I work...and you made me cry!! lol. I'm from Manassas, VA and grew up LIVING at the McKay's there. I had no idea they had other locations!!! I have a new goal to visit all of the McKays across the country now!! lmao. Thanks for the happy vibes today!!
Hi Michel! Your vlogs are my favorite with my morning coffee, it’s my comfort videos, so thank you for that. I wanted to recommend a scenic small town for you: Ashland, Oregon! It’s literally beautiful. Lithia park is right next to downtown, super lovely walkable park and tons of cute boutiques in in the plaza. It’s famous for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, being home to natural mineral springs (there’s even a fountain you can drink the mineral water from in the plaza- it’s sort of a right of passage), and for its amazing scenery. I work at the public library there and we still have the original Carnegie library building from 1912! Look up Ashland!
In the US: Wimberley, Texas; Sun Valley, Idaho (you could also do a ton of hiking); Aspen, Colorado; Charleston, South Carolina. In Europe: Cinque Terre, Italy; Tuscany towns in Italy; French Rivera towns in France; Sevilla, Spain; the whole island of Malta.
Love your channel Michel. I am one of your Canadian folllowers. I've commented on your Instagram before. You are so lovely. I enjoy watching your videos. Continued happiness and growth for you. Also love the food taste tests. Those donuts....sigh ....yum!!!!😋😋
Highly recommend checking out Mentone Alabama it’s a very small scenic town, it’s really close to an amazing coffee shop in Summerville Georgia called The great awakening coffee shop.
I second this! Cute restaurants, a beautiful park with a beautiful sunset, cabins and cottages, hiking, and waterfalls. You must go! My husband took me for my birthday last month. That was our second time visiting. VRBO search Mentone.
For a small town/resort feel, visit Newport Rhode Island! Beautiful New England city. It’s on Aquidneck Island which has a bunch of cool different spots!
You should visit Montreal, Canada. I think you would love it here. Good food REALLY good food. We’ve got a good mix of small town/city. Modern and old. A touch of europe. 100% you’ll love it.
I would recommend visiting Vermont, specifically Burlington which is on Lake Champlain. Great city, but on the smaller side and is driving distance from amazing smaller towns like Stowe :)
I just watched one of your videos for the first time today and now I feel I must binge watch. You seem so sincere and kind and love coffee..😉. I love Tennessee! I've never been to Nashville; however. But if you love small towns and good food and coffee..you should try Lititz, PA. Not far is also Strasburg which is also very quaint. Enjoy your trip! 😊
My favorite senic small town is Canmore, Canada at the begging of the Rocky Mountains. Population is about 12,000. We go every year and it's our favorite vacation spot. The views are unreal! Very walkable but driving/parking is easy. It's also located right on the edge of the national park. End of May- Augest is the hight of tourism season.
You’ve been to Maine but Bar Harbor, Maine is SO CUTE. The Main Street has a bunch of little local touristy shops. Newport, Rhode Island is very costal and cute too. On the west coast maybe Sedona, Arizona? There are a lot of hiking trails there.
Hello from the UK!! Commenting on an older video because I have binge watching your vlogs since discovering you a couple of weeks ago. Such easy watching and so wholesome. Butttt.. you mention in this video that you want to explore more small cute towns and maybe further afield?? The UK has sooo many lovely villages and little market towns. Quite a bit further away than maybe you’d considered but if you fancied it I would recommend The Cotswolds 😊 xx
you inspired me, michel! i'm going to san jose (CA) later this month to pet sit for a coworker but will be alone for 2 weeks and trying to be brave and do some exploring on my own. i'm really nervous but feeling super inspired by your trips!
You should visit Sheridan, Wyoming. It’s sits at the base of the Big Horn Mountains, has amazing views, and small-town western charm. I would love to show you around town and the neighboring communities.
Come to the okanagan valley in British Columbia Canada. It’s gorgeous small towns surrounded by lots of hills and mountains of orchards and beautiful lakes. Small towns with cute cafés and restaurants. We’re just on the other side of the border of Washington about 2-3 hours from Seattle.
You should come visit Savannah, GA. It's sort of near Atlanta, where I live. Actually about a 4 hour drive but worth it! Lots of history, small shops, hood food, coffee, sweets, and you would like it because it's on a river. You should check it out!
I think you would LOVE southwest Michigan! There are sooo many quaint little downtowns and they’re all along the Lake Michigan shore! I definitely get east coast vibes from those areas - even though it’s a huge lake 😂 South Haven, Holland (they have a tulip festival coming up), Traverse City and Suttons Bay! There are a few other small beach towns in between all of those places, but those are some of the best! Best time to go is definitely when the weather gets warmer! 💕
Hi Michel! I started watching (and loving) your videos recently. It is so cool to see a youtuber based on the same area as me. I've lived all over Austin for the last 8 years while working and going to school (now a little outside of the city near Bee Cave). I especially loved this travel vlog! Fiancé and I got engaged on that pedestrian bridge last November during this impromptu trip to Nashville and we are looking to make the move there soon. The city was a lot of fun while we were there but we definitely missed a couple more spots. So sweet watching this vlog and relieving those memories! Thank you for sharing. I'll need to check out some of Chloe's videos now :)
You should visit Annapolis, Maryland! It's the cutest little waterfront town. Really historic, a ton to do, good seafood! You could also visit Washington DC in the same trip
I have to add a recommendation for Mackinac Island. Very unusual, finding places to park, no worries, cars aren't permitted on the island. Rent a bike.
Love your travel vlogs! I live in a town called Santa Cruz, in California. There is a ton of stuff to do here, and great coffee shops. We have the ocean, where there is a nice path all along the ocean and that runs into a pier and a boardwalk with operating rides. You can also walk out on the wharf where there are restaurants, a famous candy shop, and seals. We also have the forest, where you can hike and see bannana slugs. Come see it for yourself! June-August it is very popular and busy with tourists, but winter or spring time is nice.
I love visiting smaller cities and towns too! If you are ever in the PNW, the San Juan Islands would be a great place to visit! There’s nice hikes, whale watching, a lavender farm- plus you get to take the ferry to get there ☺️
I just finished binge watching your videos since you publicly announced you were getting a divorce to the latest one. ☺️
This made my day - thank you for these kind words! I’m so happy you found this corner of the internet 🥹 I am so proud to call you a friend 🥰
Love seeing you living life with courage 🌺❤️

I visited Ashland. I loved it!!
What is a sonder?
Love your channel Michel. I am one of your Canadian folllowers. I've commented on your Instagram before. You are so lovely. I enjoy watching your videos. Continued happiness and growth for you. Also love the food taste tests. Those donuts....sigh ....yum!!!!😋😋
Didn’t know you have German Heritage!! Greetings from Germany, you should definitely come and visit!!
Lake Placid, NY in the early fall
You should visit Montreal, Canada. I think you would love it here. Good food REALLY good food. We’ve got a good mix of small town/city. Modern and old. A touch of europe. 100% you’ll love it.
You should visit some islands in New England! Martha’s Vineyard, Block Island, or Nantucket!
I love McKay’s! We have it in Winston Salem! You should do a Winston Salem blog!
Franklin Tn……Gatlinburg Tn💕
You’ve been to Maine but Bar Harbor, Maine is SO CUTE. The Main Street has a bunch of little local touristy shops. Newport, Rhode Island is very costal and cute too. On the west coast maybe Sedona, Arizona? There are a lot of hiking trails there.
Small German town Helen, GA. Blue Ridge ,GA. Good small towns, restaurants and nice views. A favorite for our family.
Check out Williamsburg, Virginia, the Historic Downtown area especially.
I love the picture Chloe found for you. I also loved going to the thrift stores. See you at home
A few smaller towns that were a great experience- Boise, ID, Charleston, SC & Asheville, NC - food was especially fantastic in Asheville
you inspired me, michel! i'm going to san jose (CA) later this month to pet sit for a coworker but will be alone for 2 weeks and trying to be brave and do some exploring on my own. i'm really nervous but feeling super inspired by your trips!
Cobourg in Ontario is adorable! Or Quebec City is gorgeous.Honestly there’s so many beautiful places is Canada!
My friend took my daughter and I to McKays in Nashville, and we loved it. She lives close to it, and I couldn't believe she didn't go once a week. 😂
You should visit Sheridan, Wyoming. It’s sits at the base of the Big Horn Mountains, has amazing views, and small-town western charm. I would love to show you around town and the neighboring communities.
You should visit Georgetown, TX, right down the road from you. It's so cute and quaint, just park on the square and start exploring!
Go to The Berkshires (Massachusetts) In the fall. Scenic, small town, good coffee shops. You’ll love it.
I think you’d really love Annapolis, Maryland (downtown) or Williamsburg, Virginia!!
Newport Road Island is adorable! Lots of industrial revolution elite history. Lots of charm!
You have really blossomed 🌸 , keep listening to GOD he's with you and he loves you so much. GOD bless you and max
If you head to Mackinac, don't miss Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Beautiful!
You would love Estes Park Colorado. Thank you for your videos, they always make me smile. Give sweet Max a hug for me. 💕
I think you'd love Leiden and Maastricht in the Netherlands. Skip Amsterdam.
I love visiting smaller cities and towns too! If you are ever in the PNW, the San Juan Islands would be a great place to visit! There’s nice hikes, whale watching, a lavender farm- plus you get to take the ferry to get there ☺️
