I had a thought that despite being hurt by your break up and then divorce, but being respectful to not tell your side, whilst the hurt being raw, and doing the blame game, possibly allowed your ex, to really Hear you, instead of immediately becoming defensive. This helped make a space, to allow reflection and acknowledgement. I love seeing your growth and processing life, especially with the Christian influence over it all!

I've been in Austin for about 3 weeks now and I'm starting to recognize some of the places you are going to! Great city. The weather is all over the place. lol!
I needed to renew my passport since it had expired and I sent it out March 26th and got it back last week! I think it said processing time would be 8 to 11 weeks but it took significantly less time! I didn't have to change anything but I can't imagine it would take significantly much longer to get a name change processed. So excited you get to live close to your sister! I live about 15 mins from mine and it's so great to get to see her every week if not multiple times a week.

I had a thought that despite being hurt by your break up and then divorce, but being respectful to not tell your side, whilst the hurt being raw, and doing the blame game, possibly allowed your ex, to really Hear you, instead of immediately becoming defensive. This helped make a space, to allow reflection and acknowledgement. I love seeing your growth and processing life, especially with the Christian influence over it all!

I needed to renew my passport since it had expired and I sent it out March 26th and got it back last week! I think it said processing time would be 8 to 11 weeks but it took significantly less time! I didn't have to change anything but I can't imagine it would take significantly much longer to get a name change processed. So excited you get to live close to your sister! I live about 15 mins from mine and it's so great to get to see her every week if not multiple times a week.
You should be quite proud of yourself for all that you have accomplished this past year. You are an inspiration to stay positive to create a positive outlook.
It sounds like a gift from God for you to have had that conversation with your ex. The truth sets us free, and I think for him to acknowledge his actions is paramount to his healing and allowing him to grow and move forward. Wow, that's fantastic news all around, so happy that things are finally and officially done, in the past and moving on....good on Brooke for taking part of the responsibility, as it definitely takes two to tango at a relationship and far too often one party puts the blame entirely on the other. As was the case with me and my ex, though I never spoke to him after I left, but he did go a surprise visit my family a few times, it was all just so surreal. So happy for the couch cushion too, maybe get a cover in preparation for when Max goes to town on the replacement, lol....just saying :D
