I went with my Dad and friend from school in 1979 afte seeing the BBC overnight vigil on TV and was surprised to see how beautiful and well kept the churchyard was. We went to go into the church but as we approached we could hear singing inside the church as if a service was on. My Dad sent us to the cottage next door to get information leaflets while we waited for this service we had heard to finish and when we came back he had then got into the church and there had been no one there - no one to account for the singing, yet it had been so clear. Interesting experience.This was in the middle of a summer's afternoon.
after seeing the bbc documentary back in the 70,s i visited Borley church on a number of occasions. i heard knocking from inside the church at about 11.30 pm. on one occasion i heard footsteps following me at the back of the church, whenever i stopped walking so did the footsteps.

Fascinating experience!
Apparently several people have heard the phantom singing over the years,along withers the organ being played when the church is locked
It was probably a builders radio, there's recently been a lot of refurbishment of the church. But that would be a far to easy explanation I'm sure.

Makes me want to pay it a visit
I paid a visit to Borley Rectory with two friends back in 2018. Unfortunately the church was closed so we just walked around the the church grounds.
There is no vault at Borley church
