Good interview with Trevor. There’s more details to this case that point to a possible solution. The MO of JTR and this torso killer aren’t that different. The killer in both sets wants the bodies found. The torso killer repeatedly dumped the parts in parts of West London knowing they would float down past Westminster and onto the construction of the Tower Bridge. Then there’s the dumping at New Scotland Yard. It’s clearly taunting. There’s the dumping in Percy Shelly’s front yard. (Yes the son of Mary Shelly) And then the Pinchin St torso. Dumped under an archway, yards from the spot that a house once stood. Who lived there with his mom, stepdad and sister…Charles Lechmere. The torso also had a long, vertical, superficial slice up the abdomen. That’s the way the Ripper cut open his victims. A bloody apron was found on the construction site of St Phillips Church. Draw a line from Pinchin St through that spot and it leads to 22 Doveton St. Same as the Ghoulston St piece of apron. Draw a line from Catherine’s murder site through it and it leads east, to Doveton St. In Christer Holmgren’s book, ‘Cutting Point’ he compares the murders of Annie Chapman to that of Elizabeth Jackson. Killed 9 months apart. Both had sex organs taken. Same victimology. The killer in both cases attempted decapitation via knife and failed. The murders are too similar not to be connected. Both sets of murders started in the early 1870s, ramped up in the 80’s and fizzled out by the turn of the century. Look at modern day American serial killers born in the late 1940’s. 20 of them. 19 started killing in the early 70’s, ramped up in the 80’s and if not caught, stopped in the 90’s. Charles Lechmere was born in 1849. He would have been 23-24 in 1873. And in his late fifties in the 1890’s. History doesn’t repeat but it rhymes.

What interests me to is what we're the 3 brides origin in the book. When did Dracula marry them, what century did he marry them in etc? Were they local Transylvanian peasant girls? Were they royalty? Didn't one of them have an impalement but healed wound on her body? Wasn't one of them the leader of the 3? Great interview. Thanks both. God bless you.

We love being scared half to death don't we? And most of us will try to foster any stories there are to be had about a haunting. I don't think this Rector was doing anything underhanded. But the human mind is an absolutely remarkable thing. I had a very strange experience when visiting Ireland for the first time in my 60s, to discover some family connections and while eating dinner on the first night, I was astonished to have a voice from behind my left shoulder say loudly and clearly, "so you've come at last". And with it a feeling of the most amazing love and peace which lasted for about 10 minutes before slowly fading away. But I'm sensible and wise enough to know that most phenomena come from within the mind, and not a spirit world. That's not to say that the reverend gentleman didn't very much experience what he saw, heard and felt, just that, for some reason, it was all generated from within him. I doubt he set out to deceive, either. It will all have been genuinely felt. It only takes one incident, like the embrace of his 'naked lady' to convince yourself that you've had an other worldly experience, but I sort of suspect this made him susceptible to further experiences. Maybe he was a bit more fey than anyone realised, or was lonely since he was not a married man, and was comforted by the attention his experiences brought to him. Much as I adore a great ghost story, they are usually just that. It's easy to prove that something didn't happen, but not so easy to prove it did.

Growing up until I was around 7 years old, I lived in Rutherglen, in a tenement on Castle street, the site of Rutherglen castle built in the 13th century. My mother told me she and her friends used a board there once, before I was born, and she saw the face of an old woman with blood streaming down it. She didn’t say much more and was clearly shaken by the memory (my mother was not one for tall tales I should add) I sometimes wonder if this poor woman was tied to the history of the castle, rest her soul.

I lived on Chicksands from 1972-1974. So as mentioned below, all the school kids heard the stories of Rosata and how she and her baby were buried alive in the wall. My Dad worked at the club that was there, bartending. He never saw her, but he said that he felt chills and late at night it was very spooky. I do remember they had pictures taken by investigators of Rosata walking the halls. Thanks for the posting the interview.

interviewer: "did you see a ufo when you were a kid? neil: "....no..." 😄 here i enjoyed neil's healthy level of skepticism. the rational mind must also ask, if one is not a ufo experiencer, how then can one be an "expert"? there are many ufo hotspots around the world which neil only alludes to... stonehenge, uk has regular sightings and crop circles, skinwalker ranch (utina basin, usa) is a hotbed of all sorts of ufos and sightings: to name but two... area 51 is more or less a front for the us military, although its an interesting starting point for a ufology researcher. (you'll begin to realize how much is being hidden or appropriated as a good cover story in that [mis]direction...) the way it works, if the ets (and theres probably more than one group) actually visit you (and they can do this in various ways) you'll soon be less skeptical. the fascinating aspect about that (et contact) is how little evidence is available...pls think about this carefully folks: we now know we live in a huge cosmos... but no one (including our governments) sees anything, or records anything that can be verified (i mean be verified thru hard forensic means) regularly... its almost like a "deafening silence" , SETI have never found anything substantial, right? maybe , just maybe , they are looking in the wrong place (or wrong part of the energy spectrum)? 😉 neil mentions the "aetherius society" (for some reason): since i'm a keen ufo researcher, i'll be taking a very close look at that (thank you). historically, some of these ufo cults can be highly toxic, the worst having to be "heavens gate", that incorporated elements of christian doctrine with sci-fi writing, like star-trek, into their practices. i wont go into the lurid details, it was pure degrading mind control exercised by their remaining leader, a loathsome narcissist called marshall applewhite : around 14 of them suicided themselves in 1997. ooo and i dont know if patty greer's film is still around online: "crop circle diaries", but she (in my view) gets closest to understanding what we're dealing with, she speaks about the "plasma balls" and how they really operate... to his credit, neil mentions these too, but for some reason doesnt go into details. pax vobiscum x

mm yeh: thanks for this discussion of the "black dogs" : they are fairly common in british folklore. i dreamt of a huge black dog yesterday (who was very fierce, but decided not to bite me) seems to be linked with idea of "showing no fear" (dogs are very psychic and can sense fear, like many other animals, they can also sense our intentions: both good and bad). although helen is very knowledgeable, i think anubis was a guide in the ancient egyptian religion (kemet)? anubis would lead departed souls through the "nine gates" , linked to the idea dogs and wolves "find their way" (can guide us true). osiris is actually the "god" or overseer of the underworld. not sure why anyone would want to seek out black dogs? (especially the hellish kind), but its not my place to judge, we must all find our own path. personally, i would use protective charms and "spiritual weapons", before engaging on such a quest [pax vobiscum]. there are some terrifying accounts (in a spooky region of america) called uinta basin, north utah where there have been many sightings of a dog-human called "the skinwalker" (these are basically native american shamans who have given over their souls to dark powers, thus becoming fiercesome shapeshifters, according to tribal folklore: there was a land dispute between two tribes, so these "skinwalkers" seem to be avenging their land claim, taken very seriously by the opposing tribe, who will not set foot, or even look in the direction of that tract of land)! personally, i like the idea of a white dog (protective guardian) and hope i'll dream of one soon, blessings [ambulate in lumine] 🤍

While visiting friends in Bathgate, I made a casual remark about all the ghost and paranormal shows we get now on television. when our friend mentioned the case, he told us his father who was a police sergeant along with another officer was called to the house. His father swore that they all witnessed the activity in the house and that everything was indeed true and factual. so there you go, small world...
