Just as Colin predicted all season. Never doubted the Celtics for one single second. Colin's accuracy percentage still at 100! Go back and watch his videos from 2 weeks ago... 😂😂
The whole Tatum/Brown convo and the level of focus on it is a big problem with sports media. It’s too centered on player vs player, instead of team vs team. Sure, these player debates are fun to have and shouldn’t be ignored, but it’s too redundant. It feels like any championship team’s success that was more based on the unit as a whole gets looked down on, because there are too many stans/casual fans out there that only want the “Alpha Guy” teams, due to it being more aesthetically pleasing. The media wants the ratings, so they focus most of their attention on that aspect to appease to the younger fans. It happens with every sport, but the most so with the NBA. Basketball is basketball though. It’s a team sport, and always will be. Colin mentioned the fact that there is a European essence to the league now, that fans are going to have to get used to.. and that’s how it should be more often. Championship teams that win playing ultimate team basketball should be respected and talked about just as much as the ones that don’t.
It should be said Tatums game is flexible and allows him to be a great teammate. The Mavs have to adjust in order for Luka to be Luka. Tatum can figure out how to play in any system.
Colin thought the Mavs were going to win don't let him fool you there are hundreds of clips of him down talking Boston and trying to sell people Luka and the Mavs
@TBGMarloMike4snhs I appreciate you being objective. Mitchell Robinson getting taken out by Embiids dirty play and OG not getting hurt I think we would be cooking to sure! We definitely could’ve beat them
Lmao… Jayson Tatum & Jaylen Brown just maturing & getting better & better. Why isn’t Giannis or Jokic or Embiid or Luka in the conference finals every year? Maybe because they aren’t good enough to be there every year.
Colin. God forbid you can give the Celtics credit without discrediting their stars. It’s kinda gross at this point tbh. You and Nick Wright need to reevaluate. This strange bias is hard to watch nowadays tbh.
Wow I'm glad Colin is "ok with" a team winning the championship in dominating fashion. I'm sure the Celtics are excited that you approve of how they won.
Yeah it’s insanely disrespectful and incorrect. He is one of the best offensive players ever. Him and Joker are similar but Luka is a better scorer and joker is a better play maker but both are just elite everywhere offensively
I love how Colin AFTERR THE FACT , analyzes, gives props , as if he thought about it all the time. 😂😂😂😂, trashed Celtics, loved Luka, now a 180 on both 😂😂😂
Colin we Celtics fans ain't forgot the negative BS you said about us don't try to act like you was right all along J Mac actually did like us all year he may have chosen Luka over JT but he spoke more positive about the Celtics than you and 98% of the media but of course they proved yall wrong now you wanna take a victory lap naw keep that same energy!!
Twolves would have made this a better series. I blame our coaching. Ever since our assistant was coaching we started stinking. Especially on defense. What could have been.
All Colin does is compare these two teams to teams from the past that were stacked and played together forever. Wake up dude, the Mav's havent even had one full season with the guys they have now.
Jason thought he would end his critics after last night's winning the chip. Nah, its just going to be the beginning of the tsunami of critics from people who mostly never stepped the NBA finals and called themselves experts. lmao!
Colin wrong all the time. Love Celtics won so could hear his subtle digs even when they win It’s hilarious to see his digs on Tatum and wrong again with his performance on close out game
Luka is, a shooting guard he can't bring te ball up he's to slow and create to many turnovers Basketball isn't only about offencive effort that's what he gotta learn
Luca was a complete non-factor in the biggest game of his life last night. He got half of his points in garbage time. The first 3/4 he might as well have not even been on the court. Great players play great in big games and he disappeared, and so did Kyrie
Wait, this clown, Colin Coward, literally told Nick Wright during the WCF that he would take the Mavs *OR* the Wolves over Boston.... Now he "predicted it would be Boston from the beginning"???? 😂
Coin hating on Tatum, last time chked it took Lebron to go to another team to win, cldnt do it alone. Go ask AI if he wished the 76ers to go get more help, maybe he wld have a ring to. Success is never done alone Colin
Celtics are an example of extraordinary roster construction. Every player 1-8 are good-to-great at 3s, plays excellent defense and also has some other offensive skill (most are excellent ball handlers) on top of that. Tatum is a top 10 player (I'd put him around 9-10), Brown top 15, Jrue top 25, White top 30, healthy KP top 25, Horford top 40. I mean, Tatum is a very good defender but he is maybe the 4th best defender on the team (maybe 5th if KP is healthy)? Congrats to the real MVP - Brad Stevens.
@@SabLew-yh2or Nah. It is Jrue > Brown > White > Tatum. This isn't a knock on him...Jrue and White are all defense level and Brown brought his defensive game way up this year. He was the only player the Celts had who could bother Luka and he took on that job really well.
Jaylen is an Alpha for sure. Luka is not an Alpha, he proved that with all the laziness on defense and crying to refs and blaming everyone but himself. Kyrie is not
Colin Cowherd is the laziest sports talking head in the industry. He’s a troll. And that is his reputation amongst actual professionals like Dan Patrick. This take was so predictable; so much so that I called it before the finals even started. This team was the most dominant team all year. The numbers don’t lie. Unless they don’t fit your own personal narrative. Ain’t that right, Colin?
Wow what a surprise it can’t just be that the better team won. We have to bash the best player on the other team who carried his team massively. It’s unbelievable. Colin idk if you know this but Luka is gonna be top 20 all time assists by the end of his career too. Such an idiot
This was the closest thing to the 04 pistons run I have seen when it was a TEAM,playing smart, defense, and sharing the ball scoring. The Boston Celtics played the right way…in my Larry Brown voice.R.I.P
Colin is right about Luka. Everything he described about him is a spitting image of James Harden on the Rockets. Great bucket getter but doesn't play defense, relies on the refs and doesn't elevate his team. It takes more than sheer talent to win championships. I hope he is able to change his game
This is such an idiotic take. Luka's already accomplished more in the playoffs than Harden as a bus driver in just 6 years. Furthermore, the problem with Harden wasn't his style of play, it's that he disappeared in the playoffs a lot whereas Luka is literally second all time to Jordan in playoff PPG. Harden holds many records for bad playoff shooting streaks.
They didn’t borrow anything. ‘We Over Me’ is the Celtic Way. Throughout the history of the franchise you can point to examples of the Celtic collective winning championships over a superstar.
Collaborative but Tatum averaged 27 and 30 in rd 2 and 3. Brown as well. Both all nba 1st and 2nd team level guys. It was done by an Elite Alpha duo with good high end role players
They beat a bunch of beaten up teams in the far inferior Eastern Conference then beat a team in the Finals that had zero business being there. Nuggets win that series in 5 or 6 games. Absolutely NO answers for Jokic. Hope this matchup happens next season.
I understand the critique of Boston, but come on man they were 1 game away from the Finals 6 years ago! But had to face superhero Bron who was on his hottest offensive playoff streak of his career, who dropped 50 on the KD Warriors in GM1 of 2018 Finals. Boston proceeded to make the Finals in 2022 and won in 2024. Sure, they got lucky with their path this year, but its not like they aren't a great team.
Bro twisting it to look as if luka was the issue. Who thought Dallas was actually going to make it to the finals ? Lol bro being criticized for carrying his team to the finals. The lebron complex.
After praising celtics on their team first culture, Colin goes directly back into comparing their two individual players… Sport shows are running out of topics so they keep talking about the same stuff
I understand why people do not like Luka's style of play, but if Luka was that bad , How come they have made 2 WCF in the last 3 years and made the finals this year if Luka is not that good?

This is a *historically* great team. Don’t get it Nick Twisted.
Collaborative over alpha guys is as old as time in the nba. If this formula worked against Wilt, it sure as heck works against Luka and Kyrie.
Colin is actually become really hard to listen too, use to love the show
It should be said Tatums game is flexible and allows him to be a great teammate. The Mavs have to adjust in order for Luka to be Luka. Tatum can figure out how to play in any system.
Luka can also play in any system, he had to do it for years at Madrid. Smart ball player, if/when he has more playmakers on the team it only helps.
I agree That blame falls on Kidd and the Mavs not Luka
Tatum can shoot bricks from any system.
Colin acting like he wasn't among the Celtics doubters all season long. But he did pick them over the Mavs, to give a tad bit of credit.
I can see Boston going back to back. They literally got 8 guys that can hit a 3 and play defense. They are a ridiculous team 😂
Wish one of the producers put in a “Stop the cap” sound bite when Colin said he picked the Celtics to win 😂
Happy for Big Al. 186 play off games and finally a title 😊
Colin thought the Mavs were going to win don't let him fool you there are hundreds of clips of him down talking Boston and trying to sell people Luka and the Mavs
He acts like all of those clips got erased. We can all see his bad takes 😂
Luka can be too pick and roll dependent to get his offense going sometimes in my opinion
Dude is 6’7 250, no one is keeping him from the rim. He doesn’t need a pick n roll to score. His step back jumper is deadly too.
I just wish the Knicks could’ve stayed healthy so we could’ve seen them in the ECF.
There was a Celtics and Tatum media hate campaign before the Celtics won the Chip in 2024. Colin is one of those campaigners.
You’d think Luka was going out in the first round every year not the WCF in 2022 or the Finals this year the way Colin calls him just a scorer
Yeah it’s insanely disrespectful and incorrect. He is one of the best offensive players ever. Him and Joker are similar but Luka is a better scorer and joker is a better play maker but both are just elite everywhere offensively
He'll never be a champion until he learns to trust his teammates and also play some defense.
@BaithNa why...I'm a casual...elaborate more please
He missed the playoffs last year
@@BaithNa trust his teammates? Dude kyrie wasnt even worthy of trust in the playoffs or finals. 😂
I love how Colin AFTERR THE FACT , analyzes, gives props , as if he thought about it all the time. 😂😂😂😂, trashed Celtics, loved Luka, now a 180 on both 😂😂😂
Colin we Celtics fans ain't forgot the negative BS you said about us don't try to act like you was right all along J Mac actually did like us all year he may have chosen Luka over JT but he spoke more positive about the Celtics than you and 98% of the media but of course they proved yall wrong now you wanna take a victory lap naw keep that same energy!!
stay on that side colin ✌️
JT 7 seasons is better than people 15+ careers.
Twolves would have made this a better series. I blame our coaching. Ever since our assistant was coaching we started stinking. Especially on defense. What could have been.
I never seen someone talk for 9 minutes and say nothing 😂
All Colin does is compare these two teams to teams from the past that were stacked and played together forever. Wake up dude, the Mav's havent even had one full season with the guys they have now.
Jason thought he would end his critics after last night's winning the chip. Nah, its just going to be the beginning of the tsunami of critics from people who mostly never stepped the NBA finals and called themselves experts. lmao!
Colin wrong all the time. Love Celtics won so could hear his subtle digs even when they win
It’s hilarious to see his digs on Tatum and wrong again with his performance on close out game
Luka is, a shooting guard he can't bring te ball up he's to slow and create to many turnovers
Basketball isn't only about offencive effort that's what he gotta learn
Except Tatum is better than doncic lol
Celtics are an example of extraordinary roster construction. Every player 1-8 are good-to-great at 3s, plays excellent defense and also has some other offensive skill (most are excellent ball handlers) on top of that. Tatum is a top 10 player (I'd put him around 9-10), Brown top 15, Jrue top 25, White top 30, healthy KP top 25, Horford top 40.
I mean, Tatum is a very good defender but he is maybe the 4th best defender on the team (maybe 5th if KP is healthy)? Congrats to the real MVP - Brad Stevens.
Tatum is a top 5, more specifically top.3 player who by the end of next season will be considered the best player in the NBA
Tatum is the best defender on the team you 🤡
The first sign of a casual is having absolutely no idea how to evaluate defense
@@SabLew-yh2or Nah. It is Jrue > Brown > White > Tatum. This isn't a knock on him...Jrue and White are all defense level and Brown brought his defensive game way up this year. He was the only player the Celts had who could bother Luka and he took on that job really well.
Tatum and brown are 1a and 1b
Jaylen is an Alpha for sure. Luka is not an Alpha, he proved that with all the laziness on defense and crying to refs and blaming everyone but himself. Kyrie is not
Oh uncle Collin what a creep you are
The problem with Dallas is, Kidd, too. Tim Hardaway said the same thing about, Luka. He's too ball dominant. I, think this loss will make Luka change.
Jaylen Brown is my favorite NBA player
did anyone hear it's certainly getting more European? in the final 4 Lucas was the only european leading a team
Everyone was a pinjata for this team...all season long. Cowherd gotta stop.
5:05 aight, ima head out ✌️ ☘️
Excellent commentary. So true.
This team was far better than those pistons. This was one of the best offensive teams in NBA history.
all the hype, Luca got exposed. High usage rate and resting on def was not a good look.
Last year many sports pundits proclaimed the Nuggets as a 3 to 5 year dynasty. This year it is the Celtics future dynasty.
Colin - absolutely beautiful take😊
They have always been team over talent! And your predictions are always wrong! Fire this guy!
Colin is right about Luka. Everything he described about him is a spitting image of James Harden on the Rockets. Great bucket getter but doesn't play defense, relies on the refs and doesn't elevate his team. It takes more than sheer talent to win championships. I hope he is able to change his game
Doesnt elevate? DJJ, Gafford, PJ had the best seasons of their career.
Where Colin was mentally challenged!
They beat a bunch of beaten up teams in the far inferior Eastern Conference then beat a team in the Finals that had zero business being there. Nuggets win that series in 5 or 6 games. Absolutely NO answers for Jokic. Hope this matchup happens next season.
The only thing that we didn’t hear from Colin is thathe put pressure on Celtics cause it was his favourite team to win the Championship
Blaming Brunson on Luka give me a effing brake
Luka dependent😂😂Did you see him play defense in the finals..😅Offense great but not complete but I think the Mavs can get back🙏👀
Good take 👍
I understand the critique of Boston, but come on man they were 1 game away from the Finals 6 years ago!
Any reason why these guys don't want to talk about Boston?
Colin tried to spin this so hard from being so wrong. Also Nba stars normally don't win until they hit their prime at age 26 and beyond
Luka, the white James Harden.
Colin the Celtics resigning both brown and Tatum was never in question lol what are you saying
Professional chair guy giving advice to Luka, 😅
Luka would probably trust his teammates more if they could hit their wide open 3s generated by his ability to draw two defenders
Bro twisting it to look as if luka was the issue. Who thought Dallas was actually going to make it to the finals ?
Lol bro being criticized for carrying his team to the finals. The lebron complex.
It can be true that Luka got them there and he also cost them the championship. It's not the first time it happened either.
After praising celtics on their team first culture, Colin goes directly back into comparing their two individual players…
Sport shows are running out of topics so they keep talking about the same stuff
I understand why people do not like Luka's style of play, but if Luka was that bad , How come they have made 2 WCF in the last 3 years and made the finals this year if Luka is not that good?
Happy for the Celtics.....but I think we learnt one thing, mavs style of play is like watching sludge run down a wall
AWESOME SHOW🤩
Playing the eite way!
Larry Brown 2004 NBA Championship.
Love the Celtics are terrible at home take by so many. Ended up 46-6 at home.
1986 Celtics 50-1 at home. Best (home) team ever
