    show people how to open door bell--show us how to open charging cover--show us what kind of device to use for charging--how long to charge-how to put it back together-give us verbal instructions as you go-- we are not experts

      To detach the doorbell from base, simply push in the two tiny buttons on the side.

      I just attempted to take mine off. You have to push the tabs on the side down enough that you can take the doorbell face off.

    Bought this one because the older version ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQ had was really choppy and would disconnect from the wifi ALOT, was not catching everything and every week j had to charge it. So far the picture quality on this one is exceptional. I also bought a solar panel with it so I will see how this all turns out.

    Thanks! this helped a lot. All the newer stores like Best Buys and drugstores didn't have any of the right cords to charge it, but I was able to find the right cord in an old neighborhood "electronics store".

    Why would you skip the most basic part of how to remove the camera from the mount?

      The purpose of this video is showing how to charge the ADT doorbell. If you look closely especially at 0.07 I zoom in on the button on the side of the doorbell. Please review my previous respond that I have explained how to detach it. Like you said this step is basic, if this still isn't clear you can also view more videos from other channels.

    I have the same one but it's been charging for over a day and still hasn't turned green

      Perhaps there's a defect on the charger or problem within the doorbell itself.

      Same here. 2 days of charging and no charge. This is the 3rd doorbell from ADT in 3 years. I'm so sick of it!!!!

      ​@@caligirl3000me too. I had to replace the driveway camera because of so many issues. after my contract I'm moving on from ADT.

      @@caligirl3000 likely the internal battery has gone bad. If you unscrew the four screws on the back plate and pry it open (sounds a lot harder than it was) it reveals a battery. Mine was swollen … an obvious sign it had gone bad. I ordered a replacement from Amazon. Good to go

    The black box behind the doorbell here is actually a battery pack and it should have been charged. With a DBC835 that is wired instead of the pack it should not have to be charged except in extreme situations (very very cold, power loss to home or DB needs to be reset to change Wi-Fi settings)

    Is it blinking red or solid blue when charging?

      Initial charging you will see blinking red light and at some point, you'll see blinking blue light. Once, fully charged it will turn to solid green.

      @@TehmenRachel Sorry, I don't recall the exact Samsung Android phone model that I had at that time. However, any Type B phone charger should work. If, you don't own one, you can always get it from Dollar Tree or 99 Cents store if they are available.

      Initial stage is showing blinking red light, midway it changes to blue blinking light and once fully charged it'll turn to solid green light.

      The phone charger that I used is plugged in (wall charging). Once the doorbell is fully charged the light will turn green. Hope I answered your question.

      This doorbell was installed by the ADT technician about 2 years ago. So far, I'm changing it once.

      How long did it take to fully charge? I live in Canada and when the snow season comes it usually drains the battery for a couple
      Months or so

      I don't know how long you own this doorbell. But, here are my 3 assumptions: (1) Poor battery life (2) Manufacturer issue and (3) Wifi connection. Hopefully, this information helpful.

    They sold me a device, doorbell, that needs to be charged, but did not provide a charger. I don't have Android devices. This is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I need to go out and purchase a cable without any part numbers........

      Yes, I understand your frustrations. I wasn't inform by the ADT service guy either. It was trial and error for me at first but luckily I had Type B charger on hand. If ADT send out the field technician to the resident, they will automatically charge fee, not fair at all when I already pay monthly for the service.

    I am having the hardest time trying to find the correct charger for my doorbell camera. I have bought 3 different Micro USB cable chargers and each of them do not work... Can you please provide me a link to somewhere to but the charger? Is there one you can recommend through Amazon that would work?

      Sorry that I wouldn't be able to provide you any link. However, the charger that I used came from my old Samsung phone. I don't recalled the model that I had. But, it was a Type B charger. This charger maybe available at Dollar Tree or perhaps 99 Cents store.

      I found both the cable and adapter for $9.99- (no item #)- search : Charger for ADT/Ring/Aiwit Doorbell Charging Cable Cord and Adapter. Good luck.

      Perhaps the current doorbell you have is a manufacturing defect or connection issue when you're putting it back. The first ADT doorbell I had wasn't the greatest. The face cover keeps coming off. If the charging time is getting too excessive you may need to contact ADT customer service.

      Ensure the plug is connected properly. Once fully charged, the blinking red light will turn green.

      No instructions necessary. I prefer a video over useless instructions any day. I found this video extremely helpful. Although I fault ADT for crappy equipment that comes with no charger cord and a useless installer who did not explain anything.
