I agree… I truly dislike cakes wrapped in edible images…I don’t mind it for decorations (like Karolyns Kakes does so well)…but the whole cake? No So I didn’t care for the first one The second had some noticeable sloppiness The fireplace was the best in every way.
@@Ambiemaber The fireplace cake is on a cake board that has the name of the bakery on it (Cake Star). So you can at least see which bakery that is. But I highly doubt you would get the same level of cake from them for the same price Laurie and Kevin get. I think the bakery knowing it will be in a video, the bakers do extra labor for lower prices. (Idk if they tell the bakeries their cakes will be on youtube beforehand but since that bakery has been featured multiple times they have to know about the youtube channel by now).

I believe this is to protect bakeries from bad reviews just in the event they had a negative experience with the design, price, or flavor. In this case, the bakery just had custom branded cake boards so there really wasn't a way not to advertise them aside from just not mentioning it and hoping most people don't notice.
If you want to keep the fireplace cake around, you could take the best footage from this video and ask a local artist to create a non-edbile version. I think that turning it into a large tree ornament for example would be sentimental and beautiful.
I'm so sorry to hear about Archie. I know that my family didn't think that last year would be the last time we would have a full family holiday because my sister-in-law passed away a few days before Thanksgiving after a 4-year battle with cancer. This holiday is going to be our first without her and it's going to be difficult
@TheIcingArtist it's somehow always possible. I had a pet who was truly like my soul animal who passed about five years back and it was really sad to let him go, but the memories still keep me warm and I am thankful he doesn't have to suffer. I am sure your memories with Archie will always be a source of warmth, like the love you've spent his life showering on him 💗
The first bakery really outdid themselves with FIVE mechanical components and lots of tiers and that semi-painted tree but the STRUCTURE on the second one is mind blowing however something that is so personal and precious seems to always comes out on top and I think that was the case with the third bakery today 👏👏

Wow! A Catahoula. It's not a breed you see or hear about very often. (Where I live almost no one had ever heard of the breed). Ours passed at 13 a couple years ago. It's always hard to lose our beloved family members. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I have lost so many beloved dogs. One only a little more than a year ago and my older dog right now is getting up there . I am sending love and sympathy. The one thing I will say is not to pre-mourn. OMG! I would LOVE an E&K crossover!!!!! That would be AWESOME!!!!!!! I love all the cakes, but I gotta say the Fireplace has my heart. The fact that they customized it so much just for you and with everything you have going on... it's sometimes the simplest things that can make you emotional. I am sure we all understand why. Though I do love the first one with the train and the wheel and stuff cause who thinks of that kind of thing! I mean the fireplace is great, but they bought something to put for the fireplace, the first one clearly went to like Dollar Tree and got a wooden snowflake and decorated it for the cake and made it spin. That takes some talent! I hope that Archie gets better. *sends lots of hugs to you both and lots of pets and treats for Archie* Food Sensitivities: I took a food sensitivity test from EverylyWell. It really helped me figure out what I am sensitive to. However, it only detects what you have eaten recently, so don't take one until you eat wheat and dairy for a few weeks at least.
I forgot to say so sorry for Archie. My cat passed away two years ago I still can’t believe it happened but it was better so they didn’t need to suffer any pain. Just keep going Laurie you can do it you don’t know maybe Archie will get better what ever happens we are with you ❤

Hearing about your dog and seeing you cry made me start to cry. I found out a month ago that my fur baby is severely diabetic. Long story short, even with all the meds and lifestyle changes, the vet says we should only expect another year of okay quality life for her. So this may be our last christmas as well. This is an excellent idea! They might start by checking with the bakery artists to see if someone can recreate it out of sculpted clay.

Wow! A Catahoula. It's not a breed you see or hear about very often. (Where I live almost no one had ever heard of the breed). Ours passed at 13 a couple years ago. It's always hard to lose our beloved family members. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I had to say goodbye to him in February, but I am watching this with the new dog curled up next to me, and he brings me joy. I hope you, no matter what happens, find that joy, too.

I’m so sorry to hear about Archie. We fostered senior special needs pets for years. Knowing the good bye is coming is always so hard, but, when grief starts to settle, it’s a balm to know that you’re able to really focus on giving as much love and kindness and comfort to him as possible.

I have lost so many beloved dogs. One only a little more than a year ago and my older dog right now is getting up there . I am sending love and sympathy. The one thing I will say is not to pre-mourn. OMG! I would LOVE an E&K crossover!!!!! That would be AWESOME!!!!!!! I love all the cakes, but I gotta say the Fireplace has my heart. The fact that they customized it so much just for you and with everything you have going on... it's sometimes the simplest things that can make you emotional. I am sure we all understand why.
Though I do love the first one with the train and the wheel and stuff cause who thinks of that kind of thing! I mean the fireplace is great, but they bought something to put for the fireplace, the first one clearly went to like Dollar Tree and got a wooden snowflake and decorated it for the cake and made it spin. That takes some talent!

Food Sensitivities: I took a food sensitivity test from EverylyWell. It really helped me figure out what I am sensitive to. However, it only detects what you have eaten recently, so don't take one until you eat wheat and dairy for a few weeks at least.

I forgot to say so sorry for Archie. My cat passed away two years ago I still can’t believe it happened but it was better so they didn’t need to suffer any pain. Just keep going Laurie you can do it you don’t know maybe Archie will get better what ever happens we are with you ❤

Oh Laurie - my heart is breaking for you. We lost our boy in June and this will be our first Christmas without him. Treasure every moment with Archie and make lots of lovely memories. The day we said goodbye I made sure to spend all day with him and took a last photo of him - he looked so happy.

Hearing about your dog and seeing you cry made me start to cry. I found out a month ago that my fur baby is severely diabetic. Long story short, even with all the meds and lifestyle changes, the vet says we should only expect another year of okay quality life for her. So this may be our last christmas as well.
