My only gripe is how does the divine council fit within the context of the surrounding verses? Especially verse 9... If you're talking about the babel incident then some argue that Abraham wasn't even born yet, so Jacob Israel didn't exist. So how does verse 9 tie into verse 8?
Can it be that it is an instruction to Israel about the upcoming events when the promised land was divided among the tribes of Israel?
Finally, I've never read of any particular principality over Israel since God dealt with his people directly through prophets and judges.

Heiser made a simple logical error, by assuming that God cannot speak of Israel's existence before it existed in time. He forgot that God called Abraham a "father of many nations" BEFORE Abraham had ANY children with his barren wife (Gen. 17:5, 17). Since God knows the future, He can do such things, as also related in Romans 4:16, 17:
Therefore [it is] of faith that [it might be] according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all
17 (as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed--God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; (NKJV)
So if God can speak of Abraham as being a "father of many nations" BEFORE he had any kids, then He can also speak of Israel as a nation BEFORE she actually it existed at Babel, especially since there is a sense in which Abraham existed in the line he came from that DID exist at Babel, which is Shem (Genesis 11:10-26; 10:21-32).
So with all this, Heiser came up with his erroneous "Deuteronomy 32 worldview" that did not take the entirety of Scripture into consideration.

Mike needs to include verse 7 then verses 8-10 makes sense.
    Deuteronomy 32: 7-10
7 Remember the days of old,
Consider the years of many generations.
    Ask your father, and he will show you;
Your elders, and they will tell you:
8 When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations,
When He separated the sons of Adam,
He set the boundaries of the peoples
According to the number of the children of Israel.
    9 For the Lord’s portion is His people;
Jacob is the place of His inheritance.
10 “He found him in a desert land
    And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness;
He encircled him, He instructed him,
He kept him as the apple of His eye.
Deuteronomy 32:7- 8 (NKJV) with commentary
7 Remember the days of old; (Referencing pre-flood and post flood time period, flood is found in Genesis, antiquity or ancient past)
consider the years of many generations; (Many Generations would be found in Genesis 5 and a Genealogy line an offspring list)
ask your father, and he will show you,
your elders, and they will tell you. ( Verse 7 says "many generations" is the key words and the main point to understanding verse 8, listed is the generations and ^ ^ bloodline from Adam to Jacob, Luke Chapter 3 lists the complete Bloodline and Genealogy that leads to Jesus.)
    ^ "sons of God" 1-22
    1) Adam (Genesis 5:3-5) Lived: 930 Years. 12) Arphaxad (Genesis 11: 12-13) Lived 438 Years
    2) Seth (Genesis 5:3, 6-8) Lived: 912 Years. 13) Shelah Genesis (11: 14-15) Lived 433 Years
    3) Enosh (Genesis 5:6, 9-11) Lived: 905 Years. 14) Eber Genesis (11: 16-17) Lived 464 Years
    4) Cainan (Genesis 5:9, 12-14) Lived: 910 Years. 15) Peleg Genesis (11: 18-19) Lived 239 Years
    5) Mahalalel (Genesis 5:12, 15-18) Lived 895 Years. 16) Reu Genesis (11: 20-21) Lived 239 Years
    6) Jared (Genesis 5:15, 18-20) Lived 962 Years. 17) Serug Genesis (11: 22-23) Lived 230 Years
    7) Enoch (Genesis 5:18, 21-24) Lived 365 Years/Translated never saw death. 18) Nahor Genesis (11: 22-23) Lived 148 Years
    8) Methuselah (Genesis 5:21, 25-27) Lived 969 Years. 19) Terah Genesis (11: 32) Lived 205 Years
    9) Lamech (Genesis 5: 25, 28-31) Lived 777 Years. 20) Abram (Abraham) (Genesis 25: 7) Lived 175 Years
    10) Noah (Genesis 5:28-29) Lived 950 Years. 21) Isaac (Genesis 25: 7) Lived 180 Years
    11) Shem (Genesis 10:10-11) Lived 600 Years. 22) Jacob (Israel) (Genesis 47: 28) Lived 147 Years
8a When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, (Dwelling place or land as an inheritance)
When He separated the sons of Adam, (Note: Some translations say "divided mankind" instead of "separated the sons of Adam")
(When God separates the sons of Adam or divided mankind, this is referring to Cain and Abel, found in Genesis 4. ^ Cain’s offering (Ground offering) to God was displeasing so God reject that offering,
while God accepted Abel’s offering, because the offering was the first born of his flock (Sheep or young Lamb).
Genesis 4: 3-5 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. Abel also brought of the
the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was ^ very angry, and his countenance fell. Cain then dwelt in the land of Nod>>>>Genesis 4: 16 "Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and ^ dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden". Nod in Hebrew means wandering.
8b (cont.) He set the boundaries of the peoples (How the Lord God set the boundaries of the peoples is with the animal sacrifices/blood shed/burnt offerings/Alter like with Abel presented
^ and offered by Faith. Hebrews 11:4 " By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness
^ that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks."
Simply putting it, the Lord God separated the boundaries with the "Righteous and Unrighteous" Abel was Righteous/Cain Unrighteous.
^ 1 John 3:12 "not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and ^ his brother’s righteous.
^ The Lord God has Always used a Sacrifice by Faith to separate the peoples, starts back in Genesis.
^ Notice that Cain was of the "wicked one (1 John 3 12)" and Abel was the righteous one (Hebrews 11:4). The separation of the Wicked and
^ Unrighteous like Cain and the Faithful/Righteous like Abel. This is how the nations are separated and how God set the boundaries of the ^ people. Today God separates the people with the Gospel and the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, those with Faith and without Faith.)
8c (cont.) According to the number of the children of Israel.”( Jacob had 12 children which make up the tribes of Israel, Jacob is Israel)
(Deuteronomy 32: 8 ESV reads it "he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.")
The NKJV has "tribes of Israel", The ESV has "sons of God", so which is it?..... Actually both would apply, because the Lord
God had established an animal sacrificial system for them. Both the "children of Israel" and "sons of God" would have the
bloodline that leads to Jesus who is the Son of God. The complete Bloodline and Genealogy of Jesus is in Luke chapter 3, that is ^ why "many generations" mentioned in verse 7 is so important.)
9a For the Lord’s portion is His people; (Verse 9a is referencing Adam to Jacob (Generations) who are the "sons of God" a territory and a land to dwell in, whether before or after the flood)
^ (Note: Genesis 5 Genealogy list from Adam to Noah and Shem are the "sons of God" mentioned in Genesis 6:2 and 6:4)
9b Jacob is the place of His inheritance (Verse 9b is referencing Jacob who is Israel and Jacob's descendant's (Generations), which would be the "Promised Land" as an inheritance to dwell.)
10 “He found him in a desert land
    And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness;
He encircled him, He instructed him,
He kept him as the apple of His eye. (The word "him" is mentioned Four times and is in reference to the nations/12 tribes of Israel, the "He" mentioned is the Lord God. Verse 9 is a transition
^ verse of "sons of God (Verse 9a) and the nation of Israel (Verse 9b), because the scripture is now about the nation of Israel in Verse 10.)

      Deuteronomy 32 7-10 ESV
      7 Remember the days of old;
      consider the years of many generations;
ask your father, and he will show you,
your elders, and they will tell you.
8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance,
when he divided mankind,>>>>>>>>some translations say "sons of Adam"
he fixed the borders of the peoples
according to the number of the sons of God. >>>>>other translations use "children of Israel"
9 But the Lord's portion is his people,
      Jacob his allotted heritage.
10 “He found him in a desert land,
      and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him,
he kept him as the apple of his eye.
Now lets dig into this. What is left out is verse 7, this is all in Context. The debate is in verse 8, should it be sons of God or children of Israel??? Actually both can fit. Reason why Verse 7 HAS to be applied becasue it reads "years of many generations" that would refer to Genesis 5 the Patriarchs which would be the sons of God.
22) Jacob (Israel) (Genesis 47: 28) Lived 147 Years
As a person sees this it is clear the Patrairchs lived and saw many generations and lived many 'years", this genealogy list from Adam to Shem is also the "sons of God", which is fitting this is listed before sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6, the sons of God are Adam to Shem.

VERSE 8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, (OR "sons of Adam")
he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.
How God divided mankind is with animal sacrifices/burnt offerings, this started with Cain and Abel the "sons of Adam" or to say "sons of mankind."
When God separates the "sons of Adam" or "divided mankind", this is referring to Cain and Abel, found in Genesis 4. All of mankind comes from the FIRST man "Adam"
Gen. 4 2-5 "And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. 3 In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, 4 and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, 5 but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell."
Cain’s offering (Ground offering) to God was displeasing so God reject that offering, while God accepted Abel’s offering, because the offering was the first born of his flock (Sheep or young Lamb). Note Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, even Abel's sacrifice is foreshadowing Jesus and His sacrifice.
Cain then dwelt in the land of Nod>>>>Genesis 4: 16 "Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden". Nod in Hebrew means wandering.
Abel was of True Faith, while Cain was NOT. Abel presented his offering by Faith.........
Hebrews 11:4 " By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks."
1 John 3:12 "not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother’s righteous."
Simply putting it, the Lord God separated the boundaries with the "Righteous and Unrighteous" Abel was Righteous/Cain Unrighteous. The Lord God has Always used a Sacrifice by Faith to separate the peoples, starts back in Genesis. Notice that Cain was of the "wicked one (1 John 3 12)" and Abel was the righteous one (Hebrews 11:4). The separation of the Wicked and Unrighteous like Cain and the Faithful/Righteous like Abel. This is how the nations are separated and how God set the boundaries of the people. Today God separates the people with the Gospel and the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross, those with Faith and without Faith.
VERSE 8 (cont.) Speaking on the boundries of the people we see that Cain went and dwelt in the land of Nod, Since Abel was murdured, Seth was NEXT in line. Reason why Seth is Next is because he called on the name of the Lord.
Genesis 4 25-26 "And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.
How we know this is with Abram/Abraham When Abram entered Canaan, he camped between Ai and Bethel. There, “he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord” (Genesis 12:8). In other words, Abram publicly thanked God, praised His name, and sought His protection and guidance.
Genesis 22 3-6 "So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him."4 On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar. 5 Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy[a] will go over there and worship and come again to you.” 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife. So they went both of them together."
Years later, Abraham’s son Isaac built an altar to the Lord in Beersheba and also “called on the name of the Lord” (Genesis 26:25). So we can tell calling on the name of the Lord as to do with an altar, animal sacrifice/burnt offering......This is part of worship and prayer with the Pariarchs or to say the sons of God, because these animal sacrifices established covenants between God and man as well as pointing to the sacrifice of the Son of God on the Cross who is Jesus. God establishes covenants with an innocent life given with shed blood, that is why the Patriarchs are the sons of God in an Adopted sense.
VERSE 8 ESV "When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders[a] of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God"
When a person looks at VERSE 8 when translated to the NKJV "When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations, When He separated the sons of Adam, He set the boundaries of the peoples, According to the number of the children of Israel."
The NKJV says "children of Israel" Not "sons of God", Okay why children of Israel, have to understand Israel is the "chosen" people they have the Law and the prophets as well as a sacrificial system.
God had established an animal sacrificial system for them. Both the "children of Israel" and "sons of God" would have the bloodline that leads to Jesus who is the Son of God. The complete Bloodline and Genealogy of Jesus is in Luke chapter 3, that is why "many generations" mentioned in verse 7 is so important. The nation of Israel/Jews also had a day of Atonement and a Levitical priesthood for animal sacrifices/burnt offerings. The Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27-28), also known as Yom Kippur, Every one of the Old Testament sacrifices typified Christ. The Passover, or paschal, sacrifice was a type of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God. The Passover lamb reminded the nation of Israel of their captivity in Egypt.
VERSES 9 & 10 of Deut. 32 9 "But the Lord's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. 10 “He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye."
The nation of Israel is also a "son" of God in an Adopted sense.

@@tuxcollins2718 Heiser was a blind and false teacher on spiritual matters of scripture. With Deuteronomy 32 he never taught "Many Generations" in verse 7. He thought the sons of God of Deuteronomy 32:8 were angels, that is totally false, angels do not have generations.

@@tuxcollins2718 Here is an updated read for you, with "Many Generatoions."
Heiser is correct when he said it should be sons of God in Deuteronomy 32:8. Heiser was a word guy the Hebrew would be >>>>(בני האלהים‎, bənê hāʼĕlōhîm>"Remember the days of old". Since Mose wrote Torah, the first 5 books of the Bible, which are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. These "days of old" that Moses mention in verse 7, what Moses is doing is taking the reader back to the Pre-flood time period. Taking Verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) Can 100% be applied as "sons of God" in Deuteronomy 32:8 as well as Genesis 5 and sons of God in Genesis 6. All makes sense and fits with the Author of Torah who is Moses.
The argument is, is that there No Abrahamic covenant yet, that is 100% true when a person applies verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) it is more clear and plain to see who the "sons of God" are in both Deuteronomy 32:8 and Genesis 6. Looking at Genesis 6 sons of God are mentioned, angels are thought in that chapter, but that is also an error. That comes from the Greek Septuagint.
The Greek Septuagint is in ERROR, becasue it put angels in the text, reason why is the Greeks believed that the pagan god Zeus (king of the gods), married and impregnated mortal human woman Alcmene and she gave birth to Heracles. So a person can see instead of Zeus, that angels was the thought in the Greek Septuagint, because of Greek Mythology. This thought was inserted into sons of God of Genesis 5 which is an ERROR. It is clear that the sons of God are found in Genesis 5, all in Context.
Explaining sons of Israel. Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son". God is speaking to Moses in this passage, also this is another book of Torah. The passage of scripture of the name change for Jacob to Israel Genesis 32:28 "Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.” Nations are named after a father in scripture. Abraham is considered a father. Jacob (Israel) is the father of the twelve tribes.
Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons which would be 12 tirbes with Many Generations. Getting back to Exodus 4:22 says "Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, Israel is my firstborn son".
Since Israel was the "firstborn son" to the Lord God, which would means Israel/Jacobs offspring would be "sons of God" or also to say "children of Israel"
The twelve tribes are as follows: Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Joseph, and Benjamin.
Other list the 12 tribes Ephraim and Manasseh, instead of Joseph and Levi.
See how many Generations came from Isreal (Jacob)
Even the following verses of how the "Text" allows for "sons of Israel" .
Deuteromony 32:9 'But the Lord's portion is his people,
      Jacob his allotted heritage.
10 “He found him in a desert land,
      and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him"
Clearly verses 9 and 10 is talking about the "sons of Israel" which would be Jacob's 12 sons/tribes, key words in the text Jacob alotted heritage (Israel). "The Lord's portion is his people" Israel was the Lord's Chosen people
The 12 tribes were the ones wondering in the desert land which verse 10 is talking about.
That is WHY there is such a debate in the text, both sons of God and children of Israel had "Many Generations". Heiser's divine council of super angels Can Not or Do Not have "Many Generations"
Even looking at Psalm 82:6 "I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;" The word "sons" is used in the Plurality, which would be referencing that the "sons" are human pretaining to the 12 tribes of Israel (Jacob's sons). The word "gods" Jesus answers that in John 10 also human.
Heiser taught gods/elohim and sons are non human, Psalm 82 is his foundation for his false divine council of super angels. These 12 tirbes (Israel) had the Law of God to govern the people. Elders/Rulers/Judges (gods/elohim/divine council) were part of that governing authority. Nothing angelic (Nonhuman) could govern the people. So naturally Humans are getting scolded in Psalm 82, not anything Nonhuman like angels or spirit beings of a divine council. The "divine council" are the Chosen people of God who given the Law of God. Also had the True Prophets of God.
The proper way of interpreting the scripture of Deuteronomy 32:8 whether it should be sons of God or children of Israel? Well which came first the Patriarchs/sons of God, of Genesis 5 and 6 or 12 tribes of Israel, of course it would be the Patriarchs/sons of God which are listed in Genesis 5 with "Many Generations" the longivity of life spans that they would have seen "Many Generations" and did lived old ages. This is ALL in Context, Context Is King!!
Have to remember when scripture was first written there were no chapter breaks or verse breaks, that was added later in English Translations of scipture.
Small summary, Moses tells us who the sons of God are with Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations in verse 7 would be Applied to sons of God.
      Deuteronomy 32
7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you.
8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God.
Clearly this is NOT about a divine council of angels. This Heiser guy did NOT understand verse 7 (Remember the Days of Old; consider the years of Many Generations;) or Context applied with proper Hermeneutics. He WAS a Blind and False Teacher of scripture when it came to Application, but he was correct in the Translaton of the words sons of God in Deuteronomy 32:8.

In the dessert the God was yahweh and later on in the Bible YAHSHUA defeated him. You can see him in numbers 31, 21, Psalm 82, Psalm 89 and there's more praise YAHSHUA Amen. yahweh is Israel god, YAHSHUA told them you are from your father the devil. He is the father of lies and the father of it, and there's no truth in him

sons of Isreal (Jacob) had 12 sons which would be 12 tirbes with Many Generations
The twelve tribes are as follows: Reuben, Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Ephraim and Manasseh.
See how many Generations came from Isreal (Jacob)
Even the following verses of how the "Text" allows for "sons of Israel" in verse 8 .
Deuteromony 32:9 'But the Lord's portion is his people,
    Jacob his allotted heritage.
10 “He found him in a desert land,
    and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him"
Clearly verses 9 and 10 is talking about the "sons of Israel" which would be Jacob's 12 sons/tribes, key words in the text Jacob alotted heritage (Israel). "The Lord's portion is his people" Israel was the Lord's Chosen people
12 tribes were the ones wondering in the dessert, because found him (Israel 12 tribes/sons) in a dessert land.
That is WHY there is such a debate in the text.
The proper way of interpreting the scripture is which came first the Patriarchs or 12 tribes of Israel, of course it would be the Patriarchs which are listed in Genesis 5 with "Many Generations" the longivity of life spans that they would have seen "Many Generations" This is ALL in Context, Context Is King!! Have to remember when scripture was first written there were no chapter breaks or verse breaks. The "sons of God" is Correct for verse 8, But is referring to Genesis 5 which is listed from Adam to Noah.
Patriarchs of Geneis 5 "Many Generations" sons of God of Deuteronomy 32 verses 7 and 8, Interesting Genesis 5 is listed just before Geneis 6 where sons of God are also mentioned, all in Context.
    1) Adam (Genesis 5:3-5) Lived: 930 Years.
    2) Seth (Genesis 5:3, 6-8) Lived: 912 Years.

    9) Lamech (Genesis 5: 25, 28-31) Lived 777 Years.
    10) Noah (Genesis 5:28-29) Lived 950 Years.
Clearly this is NOT about a divine council of super angels. This Heiser guy does NOT understand ""MANY GENERATIONS" or CONTEXT applied with proper Hermeneutics. Moses was the Author of Torah he wrote both Genesis and Deuteronomy as well as Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers. Heiser WAS a Blind and False Teacher of scripture he mislead many on this ridiculus divine council of super angels.

Deuteronomy 32 7 "Remember the days of old;" 8 "When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, according to the number of the sons of God" () 9 "But the Lord's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage."
Note "nations" in plural. Israel is a single nation, so God gave the inheritance to more than 12 nations, hence he didn't divide mankind based on the sons of one single nation from the future.
We find more information by reading Genesis 10
Genesis 10 1 "These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood."
(note it says "sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth", and not "sons of God".)
Genesis 10 25 "To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan."
(so the earth was divided during the days of Peleg, the name means Division, "5" generations before Abraham...so no 12 tribes just yet)
Now, knowing what we just read, why is the "Most High" distinction needed in Deu32:8 if not to make a point that GOD is the GOD of Gods? And why would it say "sons of God" instead of "sons of Noah" Deu32:8?
See, God is not the God of confusion, the Bible is clear in what it says.
Mankind was divided indeed according to Moses, into many nations (not 12), with dominion given to the sons of God, and God kept the portion of Jacob (the Promised Land Flowing with Milk and Honey) for Himself.
So where does it say that the sons of Noah are the sons of God? Can you point me to it? You call Heiser a false teacher, but as you said before, Moses was the Author of the Torah, and everything I quoted above came from Moses.
You are the one interpreting Moses wrong in saying the sons of Noah are the sons of God, when clearly Moses never said so.
And just one more thing, who was the Prince of Persia that delayed the angel in Daniel 10 ??? Another fake super angel with the made-up title of Prince over the Kindom of Persia? Or one of those sons of God that Moses was talking about?

@@ByGraceThroughFaith777 Here is an updated read for you, You never addressed "Many Generatoions."
10 “He found him in a desert land,
      and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him"
Clearly verses 9 and 10 is talking about the "sons of Israel" which would be Jacob's 12 sons/tribes, key words in the text Jacob alotted heritage (Israel).

@@ByGraceThroughFaith777 How God DIVIDED and SEPERATED the people
Seperation has to do with a Sacrifice with shed blood.

@@ByGraceThroughFaith777 Here is another one for you I got tons of responses.
This Genealogy line comes from Genesis 5 who are the “sons of God”. Another Point of the sons of God and the bloodline to Jesus is found in Luke 3.
Family of Adam (Genesis and Luke Account)
God created Adam, so God was Adam’s father
      1. Genesis 5: 3 Adam begot Seth
      2. Genesis 5: 6 Seth begot Enosh
      3. Genesis 5: 9 Enosh begot Cainan
      4. Genesis 5: 12 Cainan begot Mahalaleel
      5. Genesis 5: 15 Mahaleel begot Jared
      6. Genesis 5: 18 Jared begot Enoch
      7. Genesis 5: 21 Enoch begot Methuselah
      8. Genesis 5: 25 Methuselah begot Lamech
      9. Genesis 5: 28,29 Lamech begot Noah
Genesis 5: 32 Noah begot Shem, Ham and Japheth
Luke’s Account in reverse (matches Genesis)
Note in Luke 3: 23 Joseph is the father of Jesus. (Adopted son) in a similar manner like Adam’s father is God who created him.
      1. Luke 3: 38 God created Adam (Luke writes son of God)
      2. Luke 3: 38 Adam’s son is Seth
      3. Luke 3: 38 Seth’s son is Enos (Enosh)
      4. Luke 3: 38 & 37 Enos’s (Enosh) son is Cainan
      5. Luke 3: 37 Cainan’s son is Mahalaleel
      6. Luke 3: 37 Mahalaleel’s son is Jared
      7. Luke 3: 37 Jared’s son is Enoch
      8. Luke 3: 37 Enoch’s son is Methuselah
      9. Luke 3: 37 & 36 Methuselah’s son is Lamech
      10. Luke 3: 36 Lamech’s son is Noah
      11. Luke 3: 36 Noah’s son is Shem
These two lists are the “sons of God”. The "sons of God" are also referred to as "Patriarchs" in scripture. Patriarchs/sons of God presented animal sacrifices unto the Lord God. Noah was well aware of these sacrifices. Genesis 8: 20 “Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.”
The only way Noah would have known about an burnt offering is from his father (Lamech). These animal sacrifices were passed down from father to son.
Genesis 3: 21 "The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
Here God probably performed the first animal sacrifice when He made tunics of skin. The first sacrifice for sinful man (Adam and Eve). In Jesus the last sacrifice for sinful man at the Cross.
Genesis 4 3-5 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
Hebrews 11:4 "By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks."
NOTICE Abel was "Righteous" and it is by "Faith" also it was an animal sacrifice. How did Cain and Abel know to present offerings unto the Lord God????? Scripture does not say they were commanded to give an offering. The only way is from Genesis 3:21 when God made the tunics of skin.
Genesis 4: 26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.
Calling on the Name of the Lord was presenting an animal sacrifice unto God. Seth would be a son of God. Then of course than a person can include Noah's offering found in Genesis 8:20. Noah also would be a son of God.
When you read Moses the sons of God called on the name of the Lord. Look at Romans 10:13 "For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
The Lord God is in a "Covenant" Relationship with mankind, not angels/watchers. The "Covenant" Relationship has to due with animal sacrifices/burnt offerings, because death of the sacrifice and the shed blood is presented to the Lord God. No where in scripture did any angel/watcher present a death of a sacrifice and shed blood to the Lord God. Even the Jews had a "day of Atonement". When bringing the animal sacrifices into the picture, it makes more sense the sons of God are human or were at one time human. The Lord God Adopts the sons of God, because of their faith and atonement.
God has always used the animal sacrifice/burnt offerings/Alter with the Patriarchs and the Jews. Leviticus 17 11 "11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life. The OT sons of God were predistanated to Jesus awaiting His sacrifice on the Cross, the final payment for sin.
The body DIES (flesh), the body is sentenced to death because of Adam. God saves the "soul", but not the flesh, that is why the sons of God in the OT were once human (Patriarchs) and why Genesis 5 are the sons of God.
Looking at the Genealogy line what is mentioned is TWO Adam's, the first and Last Adam. The First Adam who is of obviously is Adam the first man created from the earth. Romans 3 23 " for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". The First man (Adam) ALL of humanity has fallen short of the glory of God. Mankind has a sin nature because of the First man (Adam) and death because of the First man Adam.
Romans 5 12-14 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned- 13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. 14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.
Even Genesis 5 since the genealogy list is associated with the FIRST man (Adam) they ALL die, the passages say how long each Patriarch lived, Methuselah lived 969 years (Genesis 5 27). Reason why Moses uses sons of God in Genesis 6 is because the Genealogy line of Genesis 5 is ASSOCIATED with Jesus the Son of God, the SECOND Adam or to say the LAST Adam. Jesus is also referred to as the son of man. The Genealogy line in Luke 3 proves the sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6 associaton with Jesus.

I agree with you about The Elohim but not about Yah being the El Elyon. In Gen. 2 it referred to Yah as YHWH as Yah Elohim! Yah was not El Elyon (The Most High) that is why in Deut 32:8 it says that "The Most High gave Yah (Jacob/Israel). Plus why would he give living gods to other nations if as the Christians say, he Yah is the only living God? This verse tells us that the Elohim were all given Nations! And the reason the Hebrews were trying to go to other Elohim was that all those nations prospered from there Elohim! Look at Egypt which was always doing better than Israel! Yah took his people and promised them a Land of Milk and Honey but waited until they were in the wilderness in order to tell them that in order to get this land they would have to fight for it! He told them to kill people, kill pregnant mothers and dash the baby's heads against the rocks! Then when they refused he left them in the wilderness to die! He made them agree to a Covenant that in order to get out they would have to worship him and fight his Elohim brothers and sisters people, and if they didn't he would put a curse on them! Then even when they came out of the Wilderness they still became slaves now to each other and later to Nations!
Also, we're not every Nation Chosen people to their own Elohim🤔?
Yah is not the God of the world and he only sent Yahusha for his people the Hebrews.
Yahusha tells the Southern Tribes of Judah and the Canaanite woman
Matthew 15:24 King James Version (KJV)
24 "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
His Father Yah told him to come and find the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel. The Northern Tribes that had been scattered throughout the world because he had divorced them!
Jeremiah 3:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 "I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery."
The Disciples were only to go to the Israelites and not to the Gentiles or Sumerians!!!
In the end, Yahusha did not come to Save the World but wanted his disciples to go out into all the world and give them "The Good News!" That Yah was going to remarry them if they believed the Messiah and came back!
The stories in The Bible is only meant for the Hebrews, not the whole world! Even in John 3:16, he was talking to his fellow Hebrews when he said "That Yeah so loved the world (referring to the 10 Lost scattered Tribes all over the world) that whoever believed in Yahusha's words would be saved and have eternal life!"
Just as you saw how Man has twisted the verse in Deut. 32:8 of Nations to Israel so too they have twisted words in The Bible in order to get you to believe that a man named Jesus came for the Sins of everybody in the world!
Even the name Jesus is fictitious! The letter "J" was just invented 500 years ago! The original first 1611 KJV Bible doesn't even have that name in it! And then they tell you his name doesn't matter but in Php. 2:9 it says, "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus (Yahusha) every knee ..." It is a special name and cannot be changed if you truly love him you have to learn how to pronounce that name. But that was not a problem since it was a Hebrew name for Hebrews to be able to call on, the name Yahusha means " Salvation has come from Yah!' All names in The Bible and in Hebrew have meaning to them, Jesus is a Greek name with no meaning to it!
We can see that no other Elohim did that!

The world is a different context I think, when you're referring to the people whom Yeshua came for as outward Hebrews/Jews alone.. that'll be a tricky one considering the fact that Yeshua fished many gentiles than He did with Jews physically. Apostle Paul writing to the Roman Church said in 2.28-29 a Jew is not one outwardly but inwardly, circumcision is not literal physical but circumcision of the heart thus Anyone who accepts Yeshu as the savior in his life directly becomes a Jew.

@@sirjgroma3518 What you are saying is a popular misconception. Yshusha did not "Fish" for any Gentiles. He clearly told his Disciples...
      King James Version
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not.
Now Paul is another story because he appointed himself as "The Apostle to the Gentiles" but there are a lot of problems with that because...
#1 It goes against everything Messiah himself said told everyone!
#2. There were only to be 12 Disciples, not 13.
#3. No one knows for sure what Paul saw on the road to Damascus except by Pauls's word, ao, for all, we know it could have been Satan turning himself into an Angel of Light coming in as "The Anti Christ!"
#4. Paul admitted in the end that he was just doing what he did because he was angry that the Apostles had not accepted him.
#5. Paul himself also admitted that he himself never became a Christian but always considered himself a Benjamite!
So, how are the current Christians of today supposed to follow a Messiah that did not come for them, not a Prophet that followed his own teachings🤔???

Yashua sending the 12 disciples only to the Israelites doesn't show that He didn't come for the gentiles too. Israel being Yahwehs people, He wants to regain control of them. To bring back his lost flock first. And two, Yashua had not been given full authority.
After he resurrected He now told the same disciples to go make disciples of all the nations and baptize them and teach them his word as He had now been given dominion over all Heavens and Earth( Matthew 16-20). That shows Yashua is for us all
On the Apostle Paul rhetoric, the 12 disciples were the first apostles, it's not meant that they're the only. Lukes gospel brings us 72 apostles. (Luke 10) Apostles were evangelists, a person whose work was spread the word, the likes of Paul, Barnabas et al.
Be blessed in the name of Adonai.

Not really sure how this argument can be made. Heiser says that the nation of Israel didn't exist at the time of deuteronomy 32; that's wrong.
Everyone knows that the book of exodus comes before the book of Deuteronomy chronologically which means that the nation of Israel did in fact exist during deuteronomy 32:8 which means that its definitely possible that 32:8 refers to humans

Moses in the book of Deuteronomy was quoting how God had created the earth and how the earth was split among the sons of God (the expression 'sons of God' always mean angels in the Old testament), therefore what Moses was quoting happened much prior to his living time in Deuteronomy. Actually the nations (clans of families, not NATO like nations today) were supposed to inhabit those chunks of land and the 'sons of God' (certain angels) would watch over those portions of land. If you realize, today many continents or parts of them share the same moral, financial, prosperity, deficiency, etc, commonly with the same characteristics, that's the spiritual background they have in common!

@@firstnamelastname3280 Yes it does, however, in some verses, a biblical character such as Moses or any other mentioned things prior to himself in time. For example: The book of Genesis was written by Moses describing the creation and the beginning of time, when he was writing it, it had already happened long ago behind his own time. How did he get that information? Well thru world of mouth or written texts from his predecessors and/or the revelations Moses received from God within the 40 day period he spent on that mountain. It is believed he received more than just the 10 commandments from God while being there on Sinai's summit.

I'm not concerned much about when the writing of these books were complete. I'm more concerned about when the events took place because in order for Heisers deuteronomy 32/ psalm 82 world view to work, the nation of Israel cannot have been in existence. The problem is, by deuteronomy 32, we know Israel did in fact exist because of the events of exodus

Here is an updated read for you, Heiser never addressed "Many Generatoions." Heiser was WRONG on his teaching.
10 “He found him in a desert land,
    and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him"
Clearly verses 9 and 10 is talking about the "sons of Israel" which would be Jacob's 12 sons/tribes, key words in the text Jacob alotted heritage (Israel).
