Adam was offered sonship via tree of life. He hadn’t eaten it yet. So just a gardener when expelled from access to tree of life. Only in 2nd Adam do we gain access to tree of life and become Sons of God

Thank you very much for approaching this subject with intellectual honesty. Many MANY so called "teachers" have refused the evidence and tried their hand at the mental gymnastics required to deny what the Bible really says in favor of defending the interpretive traditions handed down to them by their forefathers.

Yes, furthermore, I like how this man has compared this Genesis 6 phenomenon with the pagan stories of the Greek gods cohabitation with humans producing the pantheon of demigods from the Greek culture which predates all of the Biblical accounts, however, on the flip side, the Book of Job is among the oldest books in the Bible, so I wonder......is the comparing of the Greek myths to the Genesis 6 account a legitimate possibility?
I'm not enough of an expert on the matter, however, when taken together, it leads us all to a notion of a distinct hierarchy in the Spiritual realm of gods under a Supreme God.....
For now, I will just stick to scripture because there is safety in scripture, and keep my faith solely in Yahweh and his Messiah, Yeshua.

Luke 24:39 spirit has no flesh and bones🙏 Hebrews 1:5 Angels are not called Son of God Hebrews 1:14 Angels are ministering Spirits🙏 The Sons of God are the children of Seth if you look at the context Genesis 4 introduces the daughters of Cain Ada that means she adorned herself ( make up jewelry) Zillah means tingling of the ear her ( danced) Naaman means pleasant and delightful. The sons of Seth were attracted to the women of men because they were attractive women that put on makeup and wore jewelry and would shake to the music. The devil tried to corrupt the seed of the coming Messiah. Satan tried the same thing again with the men of Israel and the Moab women in Numbers 25: 1-18🙏

You don't get GIANTS from two regular human family lines coming together 🤦🏻♂️ the sons of Seth view came about long after Yeshuah's resurrection (in the 2nd century)... No one that wrote the Bible or lived in Bible times believed that view
Excellent, thank you for the biblical understanding of this passage. God never allowed, nor do angels have, the right, the purpose or the blessing of God to procreate. People should not dwell on this subject because it causes division among people and I believe that is the very purpose of satan himself. It is interesting to see others views, but should not be debated with our personal relationship with our God and Maker and our salvation weighing in the balance of which author we favor. Joshua 24:15.
Spirit can clearly take up flesh. The angels that went to Lot were disguised as humans, in the flesh. They were able to touch and be touched. They even ate food with Abraham! Angels have the power to be physical or ethereal.

Right on! Scripture is to be compared with Scripture !
The difference between angels and Jesus in the scripture you quoted is that Jesus is begotten, the angels are not begotten though they are sons. Remember 'begotteness' has to do with, of the same source material (definition from the Greek). Angels don't carry the same genetic makeup but Jesus does with God the father

@@stephensmart7654 Hi Brother, Only-Begotten (Monogenes in Greek) takes on special meaning in Scripture. In the regard of Jesus, it means that there was no genetic connection with a human father. (Jesus would have resembled Mary in a unique way!!!) Joseph, Jesus’ Foster-father, likely knew this child would not resemble him and could result in danger to Mary’s reputation if not life! Monogenes is a one word commentary on Jesus’ Diety and unique dual nature “Son of God” yet “Son of Man” (Romans 1:3&4) Jehovah’s Witnesses will quickly point out that Monogenes is also used in the relationship of Abraham and Isaac. They fail to recognize that Ishmael was born before Isaac, and was not God’s promised one prophesied, “Sarah shall have a son”! That uniqueness begins the genealogy found in Matthew 1:1 marking the human lineage of from Abraham to David. Luke gives the generations of Mary; where Matthew’s list is that of Joseph and contains (after David) the line through Nathan rather than Solomon and excludes Joseph as a genetic factor. Amazing!!!

I really appreciate your thorough study into this topic. I respectfully disagree. Coupled with Matthew 22:30 is also John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit". You are correct, angels did not maintain their assigned abode which took place in the initial satanic rebellion when Satan and his demons were cast back down to earth. Like the plants created by God with seed to reproduce after its kind so is man. The angels never had this bestowed upon them. I do admire all the truths that God has revealed to you. We have a mayor issue around 2:32 is an assumption of the location of the meeting where the sons of God came to present themselves. There is no mention of a location in Job.

Yeah, AFTER Christ's sacrifice and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Not once in the OT are the Jews called sons of God. Paul specifically says we are ADOPTED, joint Heirs through Christ.
@@cryptojihadi265what you should do is stop looking at the Bible as old and New Testament. Abraham had Faith in the day of Christ and was deemed righteous. Enoch walked with God and was received. These are sons of God clear definition was pointed out but now you added on to it.

This is a topic that I am curious about. While i agree that everywhere sons of God is mentioned in the old testament. It is referring to divine beings what challenges me is the idea of spiritual beings mating with humans to produce offspring. The only other time where a Spiritual being and a human produces an offspring is Jesus (or Yeshua). Would the humans that the angels mated with be considered virgins? What is to stop evil spiritual beings from producing offspring today?

I appreciate your insights. Our church here in Salzburg, Austria is right now going through Genesis verse by verse preaching and weekly Bible studies. We are fully engaged in this book. Having also read many comments here, I have to admit this: we should be silent if the Bible is silent. Both views on "sons of God" (1. angels, 2. Seth's line) seem very convincing to me. God is not a God of confusion. If God does not clearly mention, it should be enough for us as well.
Adam’s Daughters were taken by the Sons of God (Angels) as wives.

the answer lies in the "Created Spirit Man in the image of El, and the "Formed man", the mystery of dual beings, the barely understood beings called Theophanies, and the generalisations of Angels whether fallen or not as the created beings by El...
This also ties in with the experience of the Canaanites who also were so wicked that they too had union with demons and produced giants. At the core of the wickedness of the antediluvians and the Canaanites and why God destroyed them entirely (or wanted to) was they became so deep into the occult that demons were now comfortable in crossing over into our world. This then magnified the evil in those societies.

The ridiculous mental gymnastics people go through to try to deny that the sons of God were exactly that, is beyond absurd.
First, the idea that the sons of God were the descendants of Seth, because they were "God followers" is blatantly false, as by the time Noah came around, there were a whopping EIGHT people that were Godly enough to be saved. In other words the VAST majority of the sons of Seth were just as wicked as the sons of Cain.
Second, the idea that Godly men mating with ungodly women would create some superior race of giants or men of renowned, BUT Godly men mating with Godly women wouldn't produce anything special at all, makes zero sense.
Believers and non-believers have come together throughout history and even today and yet you see ZERO difference in their offspring compared to two non-believers having children or two believers having children.
This is further blown up by the fact that the Nephilim continued AFTER the flood. Well, if ALL the sons of Cain were wiped out in the flood and only the lineage of Seth was intact, then how did the descendants of Cain mate with the descendant of Seth to create these special Nephilim again?
Humans are never referred to as sons of God, until AFTER the cross, when we are adopted into His family through Christ's sacrifice.
What was the mark that Cain received? When he was in fear others would hurt him for his crime? Care to share how that mark made him safe? What change occurred with him?

Love the section that you share on Jesus being the only begotten son of God.
The term used in Greek is "monogenes" which denotes uniqueness. Issac was Abraham's (only begotten son) "monogenes" in the book of Hebrews, yet Ishmael existed before Isaac.
In the same way, Jesus is the unique son of God. With all the sons of God that exist there is one who exists, who is above every name, every knee should now and every tongue confess!

The words of God is still a mystery on you. You a lot to learn.
Then again in 2 Peter 2:4 a proper and consistent interpretation would be that this event has not yet taken place but will occur when Satan is locked at the bottom of the abyss for a 1000 years. After the Great tribulation keep it in the context. According to the theories of the Greek Lexicon Tartaros is the name of a suburban religion.
i honestly held to the belief that they were the sons of Seth, until I recently read those verses in job. i didnt know what to do with them. this is a very informative video, it helps bridge a lot of gaps in my understanding of these difficult topics. Thank you Brother Lex, God bless

I recommend The Urantia Book for Truth Seekers. Paper 66 adds clarity to the Sumerian Tablets. I began with Paper 62, which explains why the missing link isn't really missing. The various Sons of God are also explained. Published in 1955, The Urantia Book claims to be the Fifth Epochal Revelation of God to Man. Before one can accept that, one makes a personal leap of faith -- same as with believing the Bible. Epochal Eclipse April 8th 2024. Matthew 16: 4. Jonah 3: 5, 8. Jonah 4: 11. Both books are free to read online.
So what your saying is God the creator of life, shared with the humans, animals and demons the same abilities to create life, why would God give a demon what some would interpret as a blessing, the ability to create life, especially after they were kicked out of heaven ??
That's why the ones who did procreate with humans, were cast into Tartarus, which is the pit. Satan and most of his fallen angels are still around roaming the earth, creating their havoc, but those angels who disobeyed a very direct order, paid a very severe consequence. But notice, in Revelations, the pit, or abyss is opened up, and these horrific angelic beings are released and REALLY bad things happen.
Note, CERN has the Hindu God Shiva which is the God of destruction and chaos, or Abaddon in Greek, the destroyer. So, most of what happens in Revelation is actually man's doing. CERN is no doubt trying to access the extra dimensions to bring this about. Which is why it says as in the days of Noah, so it shall be in the end times.
Cain's line was wiped out in the flood so the only way for the Nephilim to continue after the flood is for them to be the offspring of fallen angels and man, not the offspring of Cain and Seth. But it was after the fallen angels continued to sin by forsaking their abode and mating with the daughters of men, that God had to lock them up in the pit.

I fully agree and have always believed the 'sons of God' were fallen angels. Doesn’t make sense that they would be human males, and there would be no need for the Bible to emphasize that they came into the "daughters of men." Just one thing though: you said Seth or his sons weren't even around at Genesis 6. Seth was a direct son of Adam, so even if he was long gone his descendants would still be around by chapter 6.
How many times did angels fall from heaven and what was their punishment for doing so?

From John time until the end, these things that are revealed to him are shortly coming to pass. Future prophecies then.
Angels falling happens once, and it's in the future.
Satan's "fall" of grace is correlated with man's, he was created perfect according to Ezekiel 28. All God have created He found good. Remember.
The fallen angels of Genesis 6 came down on a divine mission, that of Watchers of mankind. They were not kicked out of heaven. But they got corrupted by the women beauty and lost their minds and made the unpardonable : mating with another kind. Which is a wicked sin, for angels are not even meant to reproduce, and they were dealt with so severly Archangel Michael said no creation will dare do such thing again. That's 1 Enoch, that is quoted by Jude and Peter.
This very act brought judgement to whole earth because of the imbalance it created.
Angel falling IS not Happening on a regular basis, only once in the future, will they be kicked down to earth with Satan, and maje sure the earth won't do well in those days.

Isaiah 9:6 has two phrases offered as proof that Jesus is God: "Mighty God" and "Eternal Father."
Mighty god was stipulated when discussing John 1:1. However, because a mighty god is not God Almighty, Isaiah 9:6 actually proves that Jesus is not God.
Eternal Father is what Adam would have become for all humanity. As the messiah, Jesus offered his life as substitute for Adam's life (Romans 5:12-19). Jesus then will be called the Eternal Father. Abraham's descendants being as numerous as dust particles (Genesis 13:16) is because Jesus becomes humanity's second Adam (and because Jesus was spliced into Abraham's line as his seed).

Yet, I am still undecided on this issue. I am not certain; if all those quotations you made should be/ are connected.
Much of my doubts come from the Hebrew word used in Genessis; Elohiym. Going back to the very root-words; Elohiym is composed of, *EL* meaning _"one of authority,"_ and *ohiym* meaning; _"and with many powers."_
As such; it _can_ mean God _(the father),_ but it _can also_ mean a king, a judge, a general, or a god _(lower case, and as in "your El is not my El, the true El.)._
In fact; translate the Elohiym in Exodus 7:1, not as _"Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now hear this: I make you as God to Pharaoh..."_ But rather as: _"Then the LORD said to Moses, “Now hear this: I make you as _*_one of authority and with many powers_*_ to Pharaoh..."_ Which of those translations makes more sense? Did the Pharaoh ever worship Moses, and call him a God? Or did Pharaoh just fear Moses's authority... and his many powers?
Exodus 7:1 is why I don't think that *all* _"sons of God"_ are in their correct context of being _"Sons of The Almighty God, our Father in Heaven."_ Obviously, some are, but by the same token, some aren't.
But once again; For me, this issue is still inconclusive, and a _"work in progress."_

So true is the statement of believers running all over the world for different or new sources, we don’t even fully understand the Bible we have. Yet we run to other things.

Been some visions of the past/future, telepathy and other strange things. Wasn't sure there was a God but one night in my apartment I looked up and basically asked "who am I?" A being suddenly appeared beside me (think he opened a portal). Glowing, golden breast plate, pale, white hair, eyes shining like stars. He replied "David, you are a son of God", and then disappeared in a flash. A gifted lady later said my visitor was me. In the book of Enoch, Noah, when he was born, sounded a lot like my visitor. Had a demon pop into my head...he looked human except for those big yellow eyes with vertical slits. He quickly realized I could "see" him and he vanished. Didn't feel too good so I asked for assistance and had a quick flash of golden warrior angels diving down through darkness; then I saw his head chopped off by a sword. Never saw him again. There are three non humans at my work; they are all telepathic and we "spoke". They are very nervous. Something is about to happen.
Great and informative video this is. I thought Jesus was the only begotten Son because He was born out of Marry through the Holy Spirit. And no other was born in this way the way Jesus was.
Jesus is not the only begotten.... Isaac too was referred to as only begotten.

I appreciate the video creator's stance upon the sufficiency of scriptures and many others offering similar comments. I think a little intellectual honesty is lacking here though. We readily appeal to ancient customs, cultural practices, commentaries, and extra biblical sources/ insights to understand the scriptures. For example, we do this to help explain the issue of slavery in the Bible, the silencing of women in Ephesus and Corinth, etc., We also appeal to outside sources to understand the great ancient mystery cults, such as Canaanite worship practices and Artemis worship in Ancient Ephesus (Acts 19). We appeal to science, geology, and near east records of an ancient flood (epic of Gilgamesh, etc.,) when examining the Genesis account about Noah's flood. The list goes on and on..
Some of the early Christians who believed in angelic creatures cohabitating with women were well known. We are deeply indebted to them. Among them were Tertullian, Irenaeus, and Augustine. I guess Saint Augustine, the father of Reformed theology, would be a "so called teacher" in the eyes of some here.

The speaker is trying to refute Jesus, who said: Matt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Also, "sons of God" is a biblical term that is biblically defined: Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

So the onus is on the speaker to show from the Bible that Jesus wasn't speaking about fallen angels, and that the sons of God who took wives in Genesis 6 were, in fact, being led by the Spirit of God, at least up to that point in time.

It follows then that the angels would also have to be made of the same earthly materials (dirt) that we are made of. Yet Jesus says in Luke 20:6 that angels never die. However, all the sons of God, the members of Yahweh's divine council are called the morning star. They are also called Holy Ones.
For Eg see Job 38:4-7
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone-

Verse 7 here says that all the morning stars sang together when YHWH laid the foundation of the earth.
So Satan being one of the sons of God is referred to as a morning star in Isaiah 14:12.

An important point. The text is not clear if the giants are the children the Sons of God and daughters of men, or if the giants are contemporary with the Sons of God taking the daughters of men.
The Giants Nephilim (giant fallen or falling ones) could be the dinosaurs who were before the flood; and contemporary with the Genesis 6 context! It doesn’t say that they were the offspring! The offspring were “Mighty men of renown” obviously not good! Perhaps like the offspring of “Sons of God” today taking daughters of unbelievers as wives. Do you think that these sons of Elohim in Genesis 6 could have been Righteous Men (Sons of the Adoption) who took wives? Kind of like Solomon who took his wives and it caused him to worship other gods?

A son of God can know what is in the woman's heart. He has the authority to judge and to forgive. The sons of God here are the stars, the heavenly luminaries. The sun and the moon. They sang by shining their light. It is used as a metaphor. God is the father of lights.
James 1:17

Angels are not the sons of God. The sons of God are people who are of God, who follow God.

I have issues with your concept of letting the Bible interpret itself, and the NKJV is not always easy to understand grammar-wise. Chapter 6 to me is the most mysterious writings/events in the Bible. "Now it came to pass when MEN began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them " When the NKJV uses the term "men" to me means males only so how could "men" multiply without women present? Shouldn't the correct term be "mankind" or "human beings" which the NIV version uses? While it mentions daughters born to them, it does not mention sons. Anyway good discussion

Perhaps it feels a little traitorous to see someone who served as an inspiration see what seems to be toeing the party line.
I see pastors twisting words everywhere in the Bible to suit the needs of the institutional church.
No matter how much you correct them, they won't stop. If they ever do, it's only for a little while, then they revert to it. It's the ppwer of the pulpit and leadership. When you get to give a weekly sermon, adapted from the Greeks instead of teaching in small groups where clarifications can be requested, questions asked, and even challenges made you have the true power of the Master or Rabbi.
Jesus said not to let anyone call you those things, or Father, for that matter. He wasn't joking and didn't mean something else.

I've studied the bible under many good teachers over forty years. As well as on my own. And I was trained in exegesis and hermenutics. I love bible prophecy,and apologetics,in face,the two go hand in hand. I studied under Missler for decades. Now here's biblical proof, and the prophecies of what's already unfolding in the news. Take note,remember that Jesus and the apostles warned over and over, do not be deceived. I did credit Missler below. But I was disappointed that he didn't go into detail on Daniel 11,why,I don't know. So here's my teaching.

It's one main idea that is at the deception the world is given over to. And it's being promoted now,all over the news and social media.

Now Chuck Missler did teach on this,so I have to give him the credit due. Notice "they"will mingle with the seed of men"? Who are they? Everyone in this last kingdom of the Antichrist? Or just the beast and the rules? Who knows for sure. BUT,"THEY" are not of the "seed of men"! Get it?

Look at this carefully. The "king"is the Antichrist.This prophecy is about the last kingdom on Earth,before Jesus comes. Who is the second figure here? @deydrm I think chuck missler coverd Daniel 11 and going back to Genesis 6 , chucks teaches that the sons of God is a direct creation of God, that includes angels and also Adam. We're not as we came from Adam and born of our mother's. Only when we are born again Christians than we became sons of God because of our new birth by God the HOLY SPIRIT. Romans 8 , 14 - 17, 1 John 3, 1 - 2. I agree with mostly of what your saying, only that chuck missler coverd Genesis to revelation, other prophecy teachers I listened to are Bill Salus, Hal Lindsay and David Jeremiah just to name a few. I enjoyed reading your reply. I became a Christian in 1983 and have been a follower of Jesus Christ from then on and I'm still learning new verses as I read God's word.
@@Cking64 I downloaded most of Missler's teachings. Many years ago I listened to them. I became a Christian in 78. The church I went to was new,only about 60 people,it was Calvary Chapel Whittier. Then the split came,and my church became The Vineyard Christian Fellowship. I listened to Chuck Smith,Hal Lindsey, Jack Van Impe,and a few other's,and then Chuck Missler started teaching at Calvary Costa Mesa,Chuck Smiths church. I loved Missler. He gave an historical background and set context like no other teacher I knew. And he was technical,of course,with an engineering degree,he brought a lot of science into his teachings. I love that. I studied at Calvary Chapel North park San Diego for a year,in their school for evangelism. So I did learn Greek and Hebrew exegesis (basics),and biblical hermeneutics. As well as other things,historical doctrinal development,church fathers,etc..
I have a unique background and experience in Christianity that I really wish more people had. I have studied alot of theology,done apologetics online for years now, with Christians,atheist,and Mormons,Jw's etc. But, I have that pentecostal/charismatic background and experience. I've seen miracles,signs,and wonders. I given words of knowledge,not many or often,as well as received and given prophecies. i've had a few visions and dreams as well. Some have come true,others I'm still waiting to see. i've been involved in casting out a demon before as well. Now most intellectual Christians I've engaged with have no experiences in the power of the Holy Spirit. And that's sad. Even more so,they have almost no interest in evangelizing,and that;s not good.
In fact,alot of them don't believe in the gifts or anointing of the Spirit.
Now I hope you do,or at least some experiences you can testify to. If you don't,all you have to do is ask. it's that simple. But you have to step out in faith and take risk. And spend alot of time in prayer,especially for others.Thats also something that the intellectual crowd I've encountered,don't practice.

They were angels who forsook their proper dwelling place (Jude 1:6) and are reserved in chains (spiritual restraint) till judgement day.....This is a teaching I learned during Bible Studies with the Jehovas Witnesses. Those angels materialized without permission and their punishment was restraint till Judgement Day.

So by implication the "sons of God" can only be human. Satan was the representative of planet earth. That should have been Adam but he gave that right to Satan. Glory be to God in the highest. Also In Luke 24:37-40 it states that a spirit does not have flesh and bones. I LOVE YOU ALL
You answer quite of few of the questions that arise when people claim that angels are the sons of God in terms Gen 6. it doesn't address two things and also brings into question some other thing.
1) The bible lets us know in the account of Noah, and we see this replicated in life, that things only produce of their own kind. A dog and a cat cant have offspring, and sufficiently dissimilar cats offspring will have no offspring of their own. How then do angels have children with human women?
2) The revelation of punished angels being held for punishment is taken as pointing towards the rebellion in heaven not sinning on earth.
3) If humans now can be called sons of God, what stops the sons of God in Gen 6 from also being humans filled with the Spirit of God?
4) The book of Job is wisdom literature, written in a land that as far as we can tell did not exist, written in a style more akin to fairy tale literature, with made up characters with enough likeness to existing entities that we can related to them on different levels. humans, not humans, accuser, God and other supporting cast. Whereas Genesis is written as a historical book, names and tiles of traceable people and events on Earth. Should these books be read differently? Hermeneutics question.
5) The sons of God on a whole offer little to the story of salvation, much like the Nephilim or the leviathan where they do not point towards Christ they are missing steps, and a more appropriate question would be, why are they included in the Bible, a collection of books that point towards the Christ.
Soooo if the sons of God (heavenly being) took themselves wives.. is it possible that some people are sons of the "heavenly being"???
