Forget dark samus, this guy was a whole experience. Fighting some dark overlord who has been literally watching your journey throughout the whole game from the shadows as you stroll in and out of his world and even taunts you showing you a glimpse of the light for a few seconds before and while you challenge him, I’m sure he’s saw Samus as a worthy opponent. Emperor Ing and Light Suit Samus were evenly matched, they were physical destined rivals of fate fighting for the title of bearer of the light of Aether…
I quite love how the remix is mixed in subtly. It's less prominent, but you can still hear it. And that's the sign of a good remix; it understands its basis so well that it doesn't interfere when the original is played simultaneously but instead compliments it. The only exception is before the loop, but it still fits and is a nice touch.
The Emperor Ing goes hard design and theme-wise. Unlike a lot of Metroid creatures, Emperor Ing doesn't really resemble ANY real life flora or fauna other than vaguely a spider and _maybe_ sea urchin with the head spikes/tendrils and all. Otherwise it looks so unlike anything, it's so creative and terrifying. I've never played Prime 2, been waiting for a remaster, but I have to admit that Emperor Ing is one of, if not the most, well-designed Metroid final boss.
I'm gonna be honest, while a remaster would look stunning, the graphics of the original really haven't aged poorly. I recommend the Trilogy version (or a PC port with mouse and keyboard controls) but the original GameCube version is also just as good. I'd say play through it on Wii or GC if the next Direct doesn't mention a remaster
I like that this asshole has three different way to charge at you during the fight. Emperor Ing is quite proactive at trying to kill you. I mean, those goddamn light beams deal a shit tone of damage.
@@starblast16 I have so many side projects that I'm working on concurrently, but I must say, i really love making mashups. Funnily enough, I made this video when I wasn't feeling well and the video helped me calmed down. I really love this channel and the greatness it brings to me alongside the very supporting fans who always love the content I make on here ^_^
I agree the emperor ing theme sounds so anguished and agonized. Almost like the ing were not truly evil but just in agony from the moment of their creation. Like wounded animals they sought only to Live, to desperate their broken minds to realize that death would be a mercy. After all near immortality doesn’t have worth it you live in hell.

But dark Samus is still bad ass
Here's to hoping Prime 2 gets a beautiful remaster like the first!

The Ing are designed around the human hand, and more specifically, Dark Samus's hand, with that eye in the middle.

IT SOUNDS SO GOOD
Thank you! :)
Amazing this needs more views as metroid is so underrated
I am glad you enjoyed it! Took me some time to make this mashup :)
Perfection! Great remix for the fight to save the multiverse!
Yah know you screwed up when the boss has the title theme music in it
6:20 and 10:35 in particular are my favourites 🙏

OMG you're back!
I love making mashups. I will never go away :) sorry for the infrequent uploads regardless.
@@MelodyMix Good to hear. I was honestly worried you gave up when you went inactive for months.

I posted a question for you, right below this post in case you didn't see it. XD

Whoops, meant to say I made another comment, above Ryan Berry's post. My bad. ^^
Wish someone could mod this boss fight, make it harder, add Normal ing summons, Make it feel like this hive is struggling to live for its last breath
We need emperor ing chrysalis version tho
I cant tell what changed in this remix
Great video! Do you take requests?
