Been a fan of Chris's since he broke through. Always liked his early lead playing, very clean, full and articulate for a metal guitarist, solos always cut right through. Reminded me of Angus in a way. His tone sounds much more modern now, as it has evolved. He looks healthy and I'm glad that all is well. Continued success Chris. God Bless!
Chris Broderick should do a solo album drawing from all of his huge range of styles, especially classical. This guy is a beast, and in my humble view, hasn't even tapped into his full creative potential yet, at least on studio releases
Totally agree with you. Broderick have an incredible career with Nevermore, Megadeth, In Flames and others. Would be amazing an album that concentrates all the influences and experiences, showing all skills and musicality of him.
Holy Shit Jackson, keep up the great work, this guitar is legit. I've only heard him play with Megadeth, but was wowed by his tone, with an Ibanez! He is truly a great guitar player, with fingers with GREAT TONE. Thank you for partnering with Broderick Jackson!
Chris is one of the kindest musicians I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I met him outside of a club in Ft Lauderdale after his set with Megadeth, and although it was obvious how tired he was he took the time to not only take pics with us, but he stood out there for about a half hour just chatting us away. Just a really down to earth dude, and I'll never forget it. His live tone was just bonkers... clear as a bell and just SO articulate. I'm a fan for life! 🤘
I played his signature hard tail 7 string a couple weeks ago and loved it. Had more fun playing this 7 string than any others I’ve played. I’m not even a Jackson fan, but this guitar was just so much fun. And it sounds like that’s what he was going for.
This is the ultimate super strat design for me. From the straight string headstock, to the offset body, to the contours of the top, this is a really well thought out design.
Really awesome guitars! I have the Soloist six strings snow white is amazing with incredible sound! every time I play it I feel grateful for this instrument
Such class love the way he is passionate about what he does and presents the guitar with its features. Wish there were more musicians like him and Jackson is lucky to have him as an ambassador. Have a few Jackson will have to pick one of these up when I see it in store.
CHRIS IS MASTERFUL IN BOTH HIS SWEET PLAYING AND HIS ABILITY TO ARTICULATE THE KEY FEATURES THAT DEFINE HIS AWESOME SIGNATURE MODEL GUITARS.....MUCH RESPECT TO CHRIS AND ALL OF YOU AWESOME FOLKS AT JACKSON FOR CREATING THESE BEAUTIFUL FUNCTIONAL GUITARS THAT ARE AS MUCH PIECES OF BEAUTIFUL SCULPTED ART....AS THEY ARE FUNCTIONAL TOOLS USED TO CREATE SONIC ART !!!!! :) ;)
The two only reasons why I haven't gotten this guitar is the placement of the input jack and the glossy neck. No neck should EVER be glossy. They always feel kinda sticky if your hand is sweaty (which it probably will be on stage). Also, the input jack would be especially annoying while sitting down. 2 simple changes would be to move the input jack where Ibanez puts their's and changing the neck finish to satin instead of gloss.
So I get that most don’t like his guitar tone, but I really like that sound for rhythm. I think the issue is it sounds weird for solos. I don’t hate it, but I definitely prefer a more warm lead sound to crunchy leads. I think it does work for production, however. His solos cut through so clearly, especially on those Act of Defiance albums.
Either his arpeggios are not very good, or his tone isn't very good. A lot of that stuff sounded like it was straight out of a Guitar Center shred fest.
greatest 2 hand tap ever. i wont even try to learn guitar now because of that. kind of like from spinal tap when they talk about yngwie malmsteen coffee table book.
love this guitar I noticed his tone was a lot cleaner on the hard tail which tells me that he was getting a lot of tremolo string noise on his floyd rose! Still a class act and amazing player of course
wish they made a lefty version, but it looks like you could flip this guitar upside down and restring it and you should be able to reach the higher frets somewhat
They need to get them made and "in stock" at all music retailers..looking at online retailers and trying to find a guitar in stock is a drag because there are very few available..I am waiting for the gloss Black one to get in stock, but it will be awhile I'm sure.
Ehh idk. He’s a phenomenal player hit his stuff with Megadeth didn’t hit that well. It was technical and crazy but there’s no solos of his that I get chills from or hum in my head. Obviously Marty and Chris Poland have screaming solos that are forever iconic. Even kiko has solos that are to be remembered. I’d say Al Pitrelli is the most underrated guitarist in Megadeth
can u please drop the KVTMG already it’s been pre ordered for over half a year and every month we get a call telling us it’s getting pushed back it’s getting ridiculous
Thats all the guitars..and the price is steadily increasing as we all wait for them to come in stock.. I thought about buying a USA Adrian Smith for $2299 new..now they are $2999 and haven't been in stock..so its kinda BS the consumer is watching the prices go up and no guitars available to buy.
Great guitar for prog metal. Why doesn't Jackson produce that guitar with an additional single pick up coil, if you want to play some jazz etc? Ibanez has got that realized for their Vai Jens and the guitars for Kiko. Chris is certainly on the same technical level if not fven better.
Megadeth should invite chris for touring. Really. Imagine megadeth with marty friedman, chris broderick, kiko loureiro, and dave mustaine himself. Four horsemen!
I remember when Jackson was custom shop only starting at 1k for the strat. Boy how times have changed... I wish they would somehow differentiate the custom shop or USA Jackson's from the $200 ones. Different logo or something....
They need to release that other shaped sig he has been using already. Ive owned a Broderick Jackson USA 7 string for almost 9 years now. My fav guitar, just way to heavy. Hurts your shoulder fairly quickly. My biggest complaint with it
Agree... same complaint about weight... in my case the fretboard markers would also make sense... other than that, best shredding guitar... mine I have since 2016...!
@@juancarlosprevostzarate7077 i love the look of no fret markers or limited fret markers for more modern guitars. The dots on the side are plenty and you get used to it pretty quickly
Sure ... looks very cool and gets everybody guessing...also got myself almost used to, but whenever I grab other fretboard marked guitar I suddenly feel more confident and awareness increases a bit... so I am planning to paint the side markers with some reflective color to help and at same time to keep that cool look...
This is still my favorite modern Strat shape and it's great to have the choice between 6 and 7-String and Hard Tail or Floyd bridge. Jackson: If you would do a 7-string equipped with Evertune and a nice flamed maple Top I would instantly purchase this guitar! Oh, and that input jack is something I need to check out. i swear he has the "best technique-worst tone" combo ive heard
yeah sounds like there's a blanket thrown on top of my practice amp :D
Yeah always has !
lots of string noise, and open strings for sure...wonder if that's a standard feature, or a deluxe option
not the worst, but I'm definitely not the best

Just ordered the 7 string fixed bridge for a good price! Can't wait until I get it!
Loving the new guitar lineup, guys!!
Chris Broderick, just casually playing bach is insane.
@blackcamelify Doing this double voicing with two hands tapping? Not even close (and btw, I love Yngwie's playing)
..and you can play this on this guitar too.... no..no.. I can't
It’s only casual after thousands of hours of practice, even for Chris.

Relocating the input jack that way seems genius, but I wonder how practical it really is.
Not practical at all. Look how he struggle to plug in the guitar.
