Fun fact: the tune at 48:10 is a piece called "Revenge of the Pygmies" originally written by Rob Hubbard to make fun of a producer in EA when they were writing Populous. How it got into the unreleased Sega CD version is a story I have yet to find out from Rob for my book...
Another great montage :-) I didn't realise Desert Strike was on so many systems. The Sega CD improved on it slightly, but the Amiga version at the end was a marked all-round improvement!
@@GamingHistorySource Another game I was surprised to just find that you have never done is James Pond 2 Codename Robocod. That is famous for having a lot of conversions.
I always thought the Amiga was the best version, if only it had more than a single fire button. Using the space bar to cycle your weapons was a nightmare.
What is going on with the sound in the PSP version? Especially the sound of the Apache, sounds like it is powering up then just powering down in a loop? Plain weird, we all know the PSP was capable of MUCH more..this is a dissapointing port!
I'm sorry I missed the premier. Had an emergency I had to tend to. There was no avoiding it. Hopefully I'll get the next one.
@@mastersproutgamer9327 IDK yet. still working on a few. Whatever I get finished first. You should know by Friday.
@@mastersproutgamer9327 I didn't say it was coming friday. I said you should know by friday.
1. Amiga
2. Megadrive
3. Gameboy - it's awesome :-O

This video is long because it contains all intro movies.

The GG music is catchy. I have fond memories of playimg a rented copy of the SNES port of this game back in the day. I have the Genesis version now.
Beret with suit jacket lol so 80s!
I have a friend that served during the Gulf war and he told me this was the most accurate game based on that war.
@@withoutwarning1943 It was mostly an air war.
@thecouchtripper This is a dubious claim.
Give me the Genesis version, but with the SNES sound effects. Don't touch the music, though. Genesis had the best music.
This is new isn't it? I remember always looking for a Desert Strike comparison years ago in this channel and now there finally is one.
It's new. :) I hope you enjoy !
@@GamingHistorySource I will. Thanks.

Great video.
Playstation Portable's version looks like it's sharing graphics with the Amiga version.
Amiga has the best version...
back when amiga ruled the roost
How did I never know about the Sega CD and PSP versions before?
Dessert Strike? Is that an anti-dessert campaign made by Appetizer and Entree mains?
The game gear music 🔥🔥
Geez is that enough commercials??
Not my fault. That is TGN's doing. It would be worse if it was RUclips.
Best reporter name?
I vote Elvis Dennis.
Played and loved the Amiga version. However these days I rather play Megadrive version as it's so much more smoother and fun to play.

I love this game
Kilbaba became fat in GBA lol
Will watch it tomorrow, now is too noisy here.
