@@jasonlee7816 I thought the amiga version was far ahead of the MD/snes ports by quite a bit. And I will actually give props to the SMS for doing as well as it does graphically, even though it plays like poo. I think in this case the game has a bit more complexity that the small vram/tilemem spaces in the consoles can't quite handle so they cut back a bit. And the larger chip memory of the amiga allows some more freedom. Like when things blow up on the Amiga it is an actual fireblaze, and on the snes its a ball of white dust. The satellite dish also has significantly more frames of animation on the Amiga. Though I don't really see the amiga port particularly taking advantage of the extra pallet options of the AGA chipset, so I am not sure which chipset it was aimed at. I would assume AGA but if its playable on OCS I would be impressed. I would have hoped the snes would have had the best color depth, but it seems like the Amiga does a bit better here, though slighlty. With the dos version having some objects being more detailed. Sound is also no contest. MD is not bad, Snes a little better, Amiga using full sampled music and sounds with positional audio. Dos version is a bit disappointing as is the GBA port. And the rest are glorified 8 bit ports. And also the SNES doesn't really stand out against the MD that I can see... Of course I am talking about the gameplay not the intro. It has a couple of better elements perhaps but its not in the kind of differences that is reflected in its superiority over the MD. The Amiga is really a standout here, and its great to see.
Most of the time, the programmers because of one of the following reasons, didn’t make full use of Amiga custom chips. It was even possible to create games that were better than arcade versions especially on AGA Amigas with a few limitations regarding sprite colors. Limited time and/or budget. Not knowing the design of Amiga If the programmers had enough time and budget, I’m sure they could have made the scrolling 60fps.
If you look through a very repidly rotating fan, it becomes translucent, almost, right? That's because light (whatever is behind the fan) is getting through form the other side in enough frequency to hit your eyeballs as to render them almost invisible. Same for casting a shadow.
I'm surprised, considering all the hype I heard around the Lynx (never had one, just heard it was wildly powerful) I'm not impressed here. Maybe it's just a rough port or something but, the low res really seems to hamper it. There's no detail to the desert, at all. The GG version looks better which isn't something I expected given all the stuff I heard. The GBA version is a yikes with that with the copter's engine noise being so poorly looped. GBA usually got solid ports but then there's Desert Strike and the Earth Worm Jim ports. . . Yikes.

To me it sounds more grating, it's quiet and in its own way sounds quite cool, but you can nevertheless hear it and the pitch of it grates on me quickly. I had the Amiga and always liked the rotor noise on that, it never bothered me and in fact I liked hearing it.
@@noop9k Sound is better on Amiga. Mega cd closes the gap a bit and has better music. The animation and scrolling is worse on the Amiga. @@danyoutube7491I think he means the 60hz not 50hz version, what was shown might be the NTSC version of the game, where I suspect most gamers played the PAL version at 50hz, which from what I remember ran smooth.
amiga has a great port here
@UCmxTkOGs8Ymha56-8vLkojQ Its significantly better than the other contemporary ports. Better color gradiants, more frames of animation on the rotating satellite dish, Much more sophisticated sounds. Its just a notch better than the 2 16 bit consoles everywhere, and that is a rare victory.
@@jasonlee7816 You watched the video right?
@@wishusknight3009 yes i watched it Amiga, GBA, Mega-Drive, SNES versions
look and/or sound a bit similar for me to decide what is the best version
were the other versions GBA, Sega Genesis/Mega-Drive/CD, SNES not as great?
Sega Mega Drive is the king and best version ! 🤟. OST is very kickass
Suggestion: Commando
wasn't there a ps1 version? or did it just look the same?
SNES version is doodoo, Amiga FTW 😎
Most of the time, the programmers because of one of the following reasons, didn’t make full use of Amiga custom chips. It was even possible to create games that were better than arcade versions especially on AGA Amigas with a few limitations regarding sprite colors.
Limited time and/or budget.
Not knowing the design of Amiga
If the programmers had enough time and budget, I’m sure they could have made the scrolling 60fps.
I was impressed that the utilized half bright with the shadow unlike the genesis version of every other pixel.
Video idea: Sonic Clone Comparison (Somari, Jurassic Boy 2, etc.)
Best game, best ports.
some of the versions are not
(weren’t) as good as others
i have the GBA Version, i like it.
none of the versions had a
shadow of the rotor blade
If you look through a very repidly rotating fan, it becomes translucent, almost, right? That's because light (whatever is behind the fan) is getting through form the other side in enough frequency to hit your eyeballs as to render them almost invisible. Same for casting a shadow.
One if the best video games ever!
@@jasonlee7816 It was the best for its time I meant.
8-bit versions nope
16-bit versions yes

Why the graphics remember me of theotown?
The music is, a hasbootlegbabyhaswowprettystrike
what
Amiga and DOS versions have Michael Jackson.
Do Space Invaders game comparison, plz?
Jungle Strike ?
Urban Strike ?
I'm surprised, considering all the hype I heard around the Lynx (never had one, just heard it was wildly powerful) I'm not impressed here. Maybe it's just a rough port or something but, the low res really seems to hamper it.
There's no detail to the desert, at all. The GG version looks better which isn't something I expected given all the stuff I heard.
The GBA version is a yikes with that with the copter's engine noise being so poorly looped. GBA usually got solid ports but then there's Desert Strike and the Earth Worm Jim ports. . . Yikes.
1.MEGACD
2.AMIGA
3.GBA
OUt SNES by censored
can i ask why did you choose them in that order?
@@jasonlee7816 Hi there.
Very simple, i hate how Nintendo censored games, (intro SNES, the dictator dont hit to coronel),
Later, megacd has a músic nice and graphics a little bit improvment, Amiga just a fan, i love the digital voices and playable, last GBA cause its really meritored that versión.
Mi favorita es la versión de Sega Genesis, el sonido es muy superior que la versión de Snes, aparte la intro de Sega Genesis no está censurada como en muchos otros títulos de Snes.
The mega drive version was the best for me because you can barely hear the chopper's rotor.
In the other versions, the constant rotor's sound must drive you crazy after a moment... Just like Jungle Strike, come to think of it...
To me it sounds more grating, it's quiet and in its own way sounds quite cool, but you can nevertheless hear it and the pitch of it grates on me quickly. I had the Amiga and always liked the rotor noise on that, it never bothered me and in fact I liked hearing it.
atari lynx for the win
SNES and megadrive for graphics, but the Amiga version had good sound
i choose GBA and/or SNES for the audio, graphics, music, sound, visuals
Amiga version is 64 colors on screen.
The Amiga version wins this one.
Explosions looks horrible.
Other than that, yes.
Though 1-button joystick is probably not very convenient.
Can be played with 2 button as well which is what I used to play
@@jasonlee7816 Smoother animations, cleaner richer sound effects than most ports. Noticed silent explosions in sega versions?
@@noop9k Sound is better on Amiga. Mega cd closes the gap a bit and has better music.
The animation and scrolling is worse on the Amiga. The amiga does have some extra animation though, it just runs slowly. Its a 25 fps ( sometimes lower ) vs 60 fps . Same as you always see in Amiga vs Consoles.
Even though its slower , I don't think it hurts the game here and the atmosphere is just a bit better on Amiga.
Ill go Amiga 1st, mega cd 2nd.
@@leighbyford635 guess I could not see the bad framerate because my TV added extra frames. Will turn this feature off and rewatch. What I noticed though is that, say, radar dish animation has more frames.
I think the orginal Gameboy version is AMAZING!
Game Boy Advance is, looks, sounds amazing
Great job
How hard would it be for EA to remaster this series for windows 10.
it might make more sense to remaster it for the PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One/Series X
@@jasonlee7816 The mouse and keyboard would be better for me, signed old man who loves video games just not very good.
@@paulgrossi60 No offense but I would rather current EA not go near it.
SEGA GENESIS WITH XBOX 360
SNES WITH PS3
NES WITH PS2
GAME BOY WITH PSP
GAME GEAR WITH WII-U
MASTER SYSTEM WITH WII
LOL WTF did they do with the SNES version?? The lead trumpet in the theme sounds horribly off-key. Who OKd this??
Master system win.
No, Game Gear wins!
This game (in sega) has a version 2, with 10 stage. Does anybody name of this game?
play with helicopter and Soldier in some stage
Jungle Strike or Urban Strike?

A melhor versão é do Amiga👍
The amount of ads is awful :(
if u are watching it in ur computer use Adblock Plus, if not then it's time to look an alternative to RUclips or something to bypass the ads
Listen to what the other comment here suggested. I use Adblock Plus and never see ads.
Amiga version is more enjoyable.
Genesis - best sound effects
SNES - best music
That snes title screen theme begs to differ.
GBA and SNES Wins!!! =D
