I'm new-ish to K-pop and I didn't know about soojin. I was even pronouncing G-Idle wrong! All I know is that the group has been teased for "sluttiness" (honestly?) and a member left.

I can tell you it was. She is the 7th soloist who sold the most physical albums this year. With 70,000 copies sold in the first week of release. So far she has 3 million followers (in less than 6 months), and will be doing a mini *FAN CONCERT TOUR 'Flowering' in Oceania*

Soojin is like the Megan Fox of kpop, the girl was too pretty to be "good enough" so a bad person had to spread rumors and the public was so dumb they believe it.
I truly believe this is a case of envy; that actress couldn't handle that someone prettier than her, coming from the same school,being the same age, was way more succesful ,loved and praised.
But we all know the truth, Soojin is such a shy lady,the girl almost didn't even speak at all; every moment that she was off the camera the girl was smiling, giggling and being super cute with everyone.

K-Netizen bullies picked on the shy/timid girl and wrongfully stunted her career. You did her a disservice by saying she couldn't "prove" her innocence. If accusers can't prove guilt then she IS innocent... no need for proof. This is how it's supposed to work. K-Netizens should be ashamed for what they did to her, but they are shameless and awful and "none of their excuse!" If the universe bends toward justice then Soojin will find great success in her solo career.

She deserves it. She's so incredibly talented. The bullying scandal was laughable at best, their story kept changing and the details were twisted a few times by those accusing her. Plus the actress who chimed in was proven to have been lying. She never met Soojin, she never interacted with her on any level so releasing a statement saying she was her bully was just stupid. When you look at the timing, it just seemed like all she tried to do was restart her acting career in the most desperate way possible. I've not seen her name on anything since 2018, so that was a huge red flag on its own.
I really hope she gets the recognition that she deserves for her solo debut, we've missed her so much. And I hope those who falsely accused her and those who shamefully believed it, stay away from her. Her life is not yours to ruin. Get your own and ruin that.

Personally, I noticed a few K-POP fans that share a theory with me about Soojin's career: That with the risks the company has taken for Soojin and the way how its clear the girls keep referencing to each other in the MVs and promo materials, there cannot be any other explanation then Soyeon being a business partner of their label who is helping Soojin rebrand herself so they can reform as OT6 once their contract with CUBE expires. Soyeon and the girls made it clear they weren't staying with CUBE for a while now so they might have deviced some epic bussiness scheme ages ago.

Its insane that a random knetz can just stir up so much controversy because they want to ruin an idol’s life and not pay for it. It says a lot when a person comes out of nowhere just to ruin another person’s life and accomplishments. If that accusation was true, why did they wait all this time to cancel soojin? Why not cancel her from debut? I swear these bullying accusations need to be taken more seriously by the companies and the korean govt.
It is sad indeed.. and the fact that their identity is protected.. is even worse. Unfortunately, Korean Artists are very easily affected by rumors, and their cancel culture is pretty serious (even if the base is only rumors)... We've seen way too many cases like this happening. Agree that there need to be a better regulations about this and the companies have to be more stern in taking actions against defamations of their artists.

@KPOPNook well, she was forced out of the group because supposedly there was a discipline report that prove she was guilty. However, the document presented was a piece of the whole thing. It turns out Garam was innocent and that she and her friend had been the victims and the girl accusing Garam of being a bully was the real bully. She had made the whole thing up. She transferred schools and that's why only Garam got in trouble and not her

I was a fan of Seo Shin A before the Soojin thing. I could not believe that my idol could do such a thing. I hate her now because she literally made false claims AND made her account private so she can't fix it herself like, the girl is more famous than you and peaple don't know Seo Shin A unless you mention Soojin. Worse she was still a RISING idol (G) idle are QUEENS for trashing CUBE cause I don't even believe not for a second that a girl who begged her father to audition, would leave her Besties
