a lot of them mentioned due to having normal schedule, eating 3 meals a day, they gain weight. in a sense, the military is a good time for them to recharge their body
@tototitimi I know you didn't ask me but I noticed you didn't get a reply so just my two cents. I likely have ADHD and have had EDs on and off for my entire life (I'm in my 30s now), so eating is hard. When I said to my psychologist that it was like a toddler was in my head, screaming that it didn't want food, she said "what does the toddler want to eat?" The answer was mac and cheese. Even if the food isn't healthy, she said go for it. It's better than eating nothing.
You do realize netizens arent all the same people commenting all the time? Netizen is just anyone who comments on the internet. The ones who criticize the diets aren't necessarily the exact same ones calling them fat.
I am absolutely sure that the military is like a retreat for some idols. Even though it is very exhausting they get healthy meals and a break from the cameras...
Fairly certain that Taemin's mental health got so much worse in military because he finally had time to think and take care of himself to a degree. My heart aches for him and all idols, seriously. It's awful what they're put through in their day-to-days.

That’s why they die early because these diets weaken the hearts . IU is anorexic to me …. These women will even have problems when wanting to start a family. Generally the Asian industry has underweight actor actresses and musicians very sad….
It's cruel and sad😢 Idol trainees are always in their early teens or even younger when they join. To be deprived of proper nutrition and sufficient food during these crucial growing years will leave a host of long term health problems on many of them. A lot of top idols are physically weak because of this😢😢😢
yup, some of the trainees say not often they see other trainee blacks out, eudias-one of the trainee in this vid was interviewed by bbc and she says she remember she had to help carry two other trainees back to dorm cause they pass out due exhaustion and not eating much
When I heard a while back that V from BTS was on a "diet", but was suffering from fatigue and brain fog, I felt so terrible. I knew he was starving himself. I can't understand how companies can be so cruel. The grueling regimens and starvation they subject these poor people through is absolutely horrific.
I'm glad they revealed this. I hate the girls who say I eat whatever I want and stay skinny. The reality is everyone struggles to maintain or lose weight. And to add that mukbang people are fake. These idols exercise soooo much training and still had to eat so little. These mukbang people sit around eating heavy food and stay thin? cap!
There are some that can eat and eat and stay skinny, but have health issues. It’s easy to forget that being under weight can cause just as many or more health issues then being over weight.
These diet are insane and so toxic.I feel so bad for the idols. I am pre-diabetic and constantly have low blood sugar to the point of almost fainting, imagine the idols who has low blood sugar and still have to diet and perform.
I was pre-diabetic a few years back and had hypoglycemia, and I can't imagine going a whole day without more than 1 meal. The PTSD from the last time I almost fainted was enough to say, "we're not doing that again". I feel your pain!!
I don’t think any idol is pre diabetic or has iron deficiency or anything, the trainee years are tougher than when they debut, those who have these conditions just can’t make it.
Toxic is American chemically ...genetically modified sprayed with the pesticides so called ...food. Those are damaging the organs which are not working properly.

Sometimes I hate it when idols share there strict diets-- like they do know they have thousands of young fans that will follow it to look like them in a heart beat. Jungkook has talked about eating like once in 3 days for things… jimin has talked about realizing he hasn’t eaten more than once in 7-10 days and they’re both big on working out… jungkook is known for his tiny waist…. According to the formula where you subtract 120cm from your height, then find your ideal weight, my ideal weight would be 29kg/64lbs(my height is 149cm/4’11), and that would place me at a BMI of 13.1kg 💀
Nobody else has chimed in yet, so let me be the one to say it. Please don’t try this! Work out and be mindful about what you eat. Putting a scale in front of the fridge could be a slippery slope, especially because your body weight will fluctuate throughout the day! Anyway, God bless. Jesus love you my friend!
I think part of why they are so extreme is because they naturally have rounder faces, fuller cheeks, and they want the weight loss to be seen in the face
and then there's (for example) Bang Chan sneaking extra food out of the cafeteria to Twice so they could eat at least a little bit (Ik he wasn't the only one but Idk who else did it, and I love him/SKZ)
Companies shouldn’t be reducing on what they eat.instead they should be focusing on what the eat.lots of vegetables are much better than eating nothing.protein also helps a lot with weight loss.healthy diets help a lot.
I was shocked at the OBSESSION with dieting . Also male idols talking about dieting so freely. Children watch and im shocked they are proud of losing weight . Such a dangerous thing to talk about . Kids are so impressionable.
The Ice Cube Diet brought tears to my eyes. It reminds me of a dark time when I was obsessed with weight and anorexic. People, take care of your health. Your happiness is more important than anything else!
I have been trying my best to gain weight, sometimes I get so stressed I can’t eat for days and have ended up in the hospital. I’m constantly getting called disgustingly underweight. I checked and I’m 4 pounds over the weight expected by K-pop stars. that’s INSANE. somehow even me being “disgustingly underweight” IS OVER THE LIMIT!? Please do not follow these horrible standards, be healthy and love yourself! and if you think you will be praised and called pretty, think again. I constantly get called horrible things for my weight. You will get criticized by people no matter what you do, so choose to be healthy and learn how to not care what people think, love yourself!!
Why would taemin need to lose weight? I've always thought Shinee members are too skinny. I thought it they are just people with high metabolism. Turns out being that skinny is the requirement? 😱😱
So Jeon Somi is around 5’8” and about 98 lb? I know she said that she is supposedly doing healthy weight loss but that’s severely underweight. When I was under 100lb at my height I looked skeletal.
I am 5’10”, and when I modeled in my 20’s weighed in at 125lbs, and was a size 6 or 8. I never dieted, but knew girls that were bulimic or used laxatives. Now at 70 years old I’m a size 6 at 145lbs…
Using that formula then i should weigh 26kg 😂 nah i am just gonna reduce my portion while exercising but still eat chicken, vegetable and rice. I can't do those dangerous diets
I used to eat a certain calorie diet and would workout to burn every calorie I ate. I would get dizzy and almost pass out on the daily. They not eating enough calories and working out all the calories they don’t have.
So according to their calculations I’m obese. If I walked into my doctor’s office (if I could walk) at the calculation weight, she would have a fit. It would be under 100lbs at 5’5”. I’ve been down to around 112, but I was dealing with herniated discs, medications, extreme pain to the point I couldn’t eat. I looked horrible
It actually happened to a Polish woman living in South Korea. She's a RUclipsr, btw and in one of her videos she talked about going to a doctor's appointment. There they weighed her and told her that if she was Korean, she'd be considered overweight and advised to lose quite a lot of weight, but since she's not, they'll let it slide. At least the doctor was aware of racial differences, I guess... 🤔😅
10:01: Those companies should be sued!!!! This is núts!!!! Are those Netizens living i a dream world or something, whoaa, this can seriously do damage to ur heart!!!!
Kpop idols are now too globalized. There's a lot a impressionable young teenagers amongs their fans. They have a responsibility on what they should or should not share when it comes to their diets. If it's dangerous and they know it, they should not answer the question.
There's going to be those who comment on BTS in a negative way when they return from their service, but honestly, it would be so nice to see those guys *(PARTICULARLY JIMIN!)* return with a healthier look and a healthy/positive mindset towards their body changes, without feeling the pressure to conform to industry standard or listen to haters. Let's let idols be themselves and love them for that. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜✨
Yeah, they should just eat (in a balanced diet) and reshape in the gym, they will not only get a good body, but also a healthy and strong one. Those kpop idols are just thin, that's not having a good or a perfect body, that's just being thin. What's wrong with their managers? Did they not have a physical education class when they were in school? No wonder they faint in their concerts.
And the fact that Kpop fans (who likely don't even fit this weight criteria since it's nearly impossible for a regular person who doesn't work in tbmhe body/dance industries) shame idols when they're not unhealthily skinny makes me sick to my stomach.
I always look at these people like they are very small, do they eat at all? Now, I understand. I am very petit myself, I am only 149 cm and the lightest I have been is 45 kg and I felt smaller than an 8 years old. Now I just prefer being between 48 and 50 just so I look like a real woman and not a child.
Am I the only one who was thinking that BTS Jimin's diet would be mentioned here? I still remember that his diets were so dangerous that Namjoon had to personally talk him out of it. The drastic reduction in weight was scary. He went from a healthy teenagee to a skin to bone youbg adult.
Yep, he stopped eating for days at a time, would only eat something on performance day. He was passing out. Then he got healthier until Face. And he went on an extreme diet again, not letting himself get over 45kg. He is so thin in the mv. V also imho overdid it with dieting for Layover. Broke my heart.
Agreed it's time for hospital. Especially with all those workouts they do. No wonder they faint. It's the minimum weight MINUS 10 kilos! That's anorexic. They look like children! (And I imagine they don't get their days anymore.) The health problems on their organs/bones etc is insane.
I think it's terrible that the industry expects them to look like pencils. Give these lovely idols some meat and let them look amazing in all their glory! You don't have to be THAT thin to be an amazing performer. I really love to see healthy people getting more attention. Not that I hate on the idols at all for their methods. They did what they had to in order to get what they wanted in their industry. Mad respect, but it's dangerous, and no one should attempt.
It almost seems like Anorexia is being pushed into all K-pop stars in order to become idols. It also almost portrays to younger fans that you have to be thin to be beautiful so don’t eat. Twisted world 😢
i am an circusartist sinds i am 7 years old. when i started performing at 9, i started to diet everyday, to look better on stage. i know it is not very healthy, but i just want cleaner lines, a more flexibel look and not to look fat in unflattering costumes. i just don't feel confident on stage if i weight more than 45 kg. i can understand why kpop idols do these crazy diets.

Why are you responding this way? I was just expressing my opinion and did not offend you in any way.
It's not ignorance. They know it's unhealthy they want these people to he child like
According to the formula where you subtract 120cm from your height, then find your ideal weight, my ideal weight would be 29kg/64lbs(my height is 149cm/4’11), and that would place me at a BMI of 13.1kg 💀
Wow. I’m 171.45 cm tall, so that would put me at 51.45 kg. 😢 5’7.5” // 113.43 lb
Oh lord that reminds me when I was 16 and restricting. I’m 23 now.
I know right, I'm 4.10" so mine would be even lower💀💀
I'm 1.58 cm and mine would be 38 kg, not even when I was 13 years I have weight that is tooo underweight 💀💀☠️
this formula is much harder if youre short, im 173 cm and 47 kg
Holy shit. The scale in front of the refrigerator tip is brutal. I’m tempted to try it 😮
Nobody else has chimed in yet, so let me be the one to say it. Please don’t try this! Work out and be mindful about what you eat. Putting a scale in front of the fridge could be a slippery slope, especially because your body weight will fluctuate throughout the day! Anyway, God bless. Jesus love you my friend!
I think part of why they are so extreme is because they naturally have rounder faces, fuller cheeks, and they want the weight loss to be seen in the face
and then there's (for example) Bang Chan sneaking extra food out of the cafeteria to Twice so they could eat at least a little bit
(Ik he wasn't the only one but Idk who else did it, and I love him/SKZ)
aww.. bang chan 🫶
Yeah he had to because the company is so sh*tty they WOULD NOT ALLOW the girls to eat and they had a tight schedule
I'm glad to see people saying in the comments that the ideal weight with this formula is crazy. Stay healthy and take care of yourselves everyone.
BTS Jimin also had a really bad diet where he didn't eat for 10 days straight and only ate on the last day
Ha ha the angry shout in the crowd ” what weight!? “ ❤ 😂
This fans who says it's toxic are those who praise them for their figures😂😢
Thin is always in.
Ok, first I was thinking you meant that was eating the paper cups😂
The fact such diets affect their heart , nd their fertility but till they look up to such diets for being pretty , its insane !
The Ice Cube Diet brought tears to my eyes. It reminds me of a dark time when I was obsessed with weight and anorexic. People, take care of your health. Your happiness is more important than anything else!
Stay strong 💓
I end up eating one meal a day quite a lot but it’s not bad at all since I don’t dance 7 hours a day lol
Why would taemin need to lose weight? I've always thought Shinee members are too skinny. I thought it they are just people with high metabolism. Turns out being that skinny is the requirement? 😱😱
99 lbs is my ideal industry weight...that is sickly
Mine is 77 lbs 💀
why do fans want them to lose weight, then after the idols abuse themselfs they want them the gain weight. its becoming a loop hole. i hate it
So Jeon Somi is around 5’8” and about 98 lb? I know she said that she is supposedly doing healthy weight loss but that’s severely underweight. When I was under 100lb at my height I looked skeletal.
They deserve better. this is so shitty, they are people too
I'm 125pounds but I'm expected to be 80 pounds according to their standard?!
One meal a day is the most common diet in idols 😢
Aren't they're like loosing muscle and not body fat ? Like how there body can keep on going without proteine?
possibly.. that's why most of these are crash diets..
and lots of them have warned that it's not sustainable in the long run
I am 5’10”, and when I modeled in my 20’s weighed in at 125lbs, and was a size 6 or 8. I never dieted, but knew girls that were bulimic or used laxatives. Now at 70 years old I’m a size 6 at 145lbs…
that’s actually scary, not knowing whether you’d wake up tmrw - the ice cube diet is actually scary 😢
Using that formula then i should weigh 26kg 😂 nah i am just gonna reduce my portion while exercising but still eat chicken, vegetable and rice. I can't do those dangerous diets
THEY LOOK LIKE AN LIVING SKELETON WITH SKIN & COLORFUL OUTFITS NOT A DOLL/BARBIE.
I'm 159 cm and my ideal weight would be 39 kg. Heck no! That is way too little for me🙄
righttt 😭
I used to eat a certain calorie diet and would workout to burn every calorie I ate. I would get dizzy and almost pass out on the daily. They not eating enough calories and working out all the calories they don’t have.
Taemin looked so much better after he came from the military now his Face is giving ozempic
They do this kind of a stiff diet whenever they comeback.
Not year long~
According to the formula for your ideal weight goal I’m supposed to weight 32 pounds-😭💀
🤦🏻♀️gosh….
@@KPOPNook I know😭 I Don’t think that’s healthy 😭💀
I think it’s 32kg after the math not pounds
@@Biased_bunny oh😭
@@KPOPNookl am 156 cm so my ideal weight is 36kg

Jeongyeon😢😢😢I love her. She's my favorite
I thought I’d tried everything until I found Woman's Weight Loss Secrets: The Unspoken Truth. This book is next-level helpful!
I used to be underweight now im overweight due to harsh side effects of medication that i stoped now i want to cry
So now you're telling me I have to get to 40kg before summer.
What are u going to do
Try this: EAT ANYTHING PER MEAL TIME + 3 SPOONS OF BLACK COFFEE NO SUGAR = SLIM ARMS, WAIST LINE, NECK, THIN FACE, THIN LEGS (WITHOUT FRIED FOODS)
7:40 I thought it meant she would shed tears not cuz of crying but because wanted to lose the calories/weight she gained due to the one ice cube 😭😭
According to that "formula " my ideal weight would be 59 lbs/27kg! 😢
“never do ANY of these diets!”
begins to gives detail on each diet
Yeah, they should just eat (in a balanced diet) and reshape in the gym, they will not only get a good body, but also a healthy and strong one. Those kpop idols are just thin, that's not having a good or a perfect body, that's just being thin. What's wrong with their managers? Did they not have a physical education class when they were in school? No wonder they faint in their concerts.
So I’m 37kg(I hope it’s KG) for the ideal weight? 37????? I’m gonna be just like a 37kg weight of a dumbbell 🥲
😭😭😭
Thanks for the tutorial 😀
Guilty 😂😂😂
Get some help
💀please tell us you’re kidding
I will try
They're destroying their bodies so young. It's sad. Where the hell are their parents?
Eunbi is only 158 cm, yet 44,7 kg is really quite thin
There are some K-pop female idols who looks malnourished and too skinny, some of them showing their rib cage. Fans are okay with it
Y'know, this is just an easier way for people to use these methods.
Yeah that’s why they shouldn’t be descriptive even if it’s for the sake of “awareness”, people just use it as diet advice.
Then I'm 151 cm so should my weight be 31kg ?? It's underweight category 😮 they're too harsh and rude ...
And the fact that Kpop fans (who likely don't even fit this weight criteria since it's nearly impossible for a regular person who doesn't work in tbmhe body/dance industries) shame idols when they're not unhealthily skinny makes me sick to my stomach.
5:40 help I lost 4kg for eating my moms food but few and on piece a cake and le sserafim work out in 6 days
Did you gain it back again ?? If not, how do you maintain it ?
165cm-120= 45kg so around 99pounds (which it my ideal weight considering I’m 76kg rn😭)
mine is 48 kg O.o
i have 151cm and 45kg, it's insane tbh
I’m 162 and 33
I always look at these people like they are very small, do they eat at all?
I looked up my "ideal weight", according to them. 💀 It was horrifying... I can't imagine being that light.
168 cm tall and 45 kg ? Damn that is called anorexic!!! Imagine the stress!!!
2:43 so they want me to be dead or a 5 year old
Lol 😂 how much would u even be i”d be like 3 pounds I think I’m short cus I’m younger
@@MaybeMayaaa I’d be 29kg 😭

@@jennakhrapatin8711 umm none of ur business i was saying she would be 63 pounds I would be way less.
how do you loose 20kg in 40 days?! that's crazy!!!
Thank
It almost seems like Anorexia is being pushed into all K-pop stars in order to become idols. It also almost portrays to younger fans that you have to be thin to be beautiful so don’t eat. Twisted world 😢
idk if yall knew this but Ryujin of ITZY had nothing but water and ice cubes for a week because she had to lose 15lbs or she wouldn't debut
It wasn’t Ryujin it was Momo of Twice
When the mention height and weight, i just cant help to check their bmi, yup they below average of normal bmi😢
OK so let me get this straight
For example if a trainee or idol is let's say 148cm tall then........
148-120=28(goal weight)
I'm SPEACHLESS 💀💀
i am an circusartist sinds i am 7 years old. when i started performing at 9, i started to diet everyday, to look better on stage. i know it is not very healthy, but i just want cleaner lines, a more flexibel look and not to look fat in unflattering costumes. i just don't feel confident on stage if i weight more than 45 kg. i can understand why kpop idols do these crazy diets.
As a person whose short 145cm - 120 = 25kg lol. Im currently 55kg, i am working on it to be 46kg at least. 25kg is madness.
I'm 150 cm tall , according to kbs my ideal weight is s 30kg . no thanks
oh gosh.. please no 😭
They don't regret the diets. They regret that they couldn't stick to them.
