- Empower Yourself with Digital Literacy
Robert H. Rogers, award-winning former journalist and UC Berkely School of Journalism lecturer, delivered three lectures in August at Civic Center Library. The lecture series was designed to empower library patrons to navigate news and information in an age of complex digital media. The series included the following three lectures:
Aug. 16 Media Lecture 1: History and Context of U.S. Mass Communications
Aug. 23 Media Lecture 2: The Brave New World of Information
Aug. 30 Media Lecture 3: Restoring Truth and Democracy
