    Great video - This is the SECOND time your video has helped me fix my shower; first a pressure valve 3 years ago, and today I replaced the Solenoid. This is an excellent video to help save money, stop unnecessary purchases and reduce waste. I doff my hat to you, sir.

    Class video. Helped me identify my problem which was a leaking flow control valve. Turned out to be just a faulty O-ring going to the heater tank, replaced with new one and followed the video closely to re-assemble all the parts correctly without breaking any. Thanks again.

    Very good advice which gave me the confidence to replace the Stabaliser Valve Seal in my TritonT80si( £8.00).This saved me the £45 + the cost to fully replace the Pressure switch. I did have to loosen the heater unit.
    Thank you

    Hi Mind Biz
    Thanks for your previous kind comments.
    Re your question Mixer v electric it is pretty much horses for courses, I personally would prefer a mixer shower however this is to some extent governed by how much energy the boiler can deliver to the hot water.
    A good electric shower will deliver 10kws so it would be worth checking what the output to the hot water your boiler can deliver.

    My Triton Ivory 4 blew the PDR a few wks ago. I broke the tension clip on the outflow valve taking it apart so had to order a new outflow AND pdr. It arrived this week and after fitting it, a new leak started where the pressure switch plugs into the heating tank. I have watched this video today and followed every step. Everything seemed perfect. Now it is leaking again at the point where the pressure switch enters the heating tank. Advice plz before I yank the damn thing off the wall and launch it through the nearest window ;) 2 weeks w/out a shower and losing my sanity with it lol. TIA

    It is the solenoid and it is at the bottom of the flow valve. You can find it on our website, just search for part number MIRA-1563.507, we have already answered similar questions there and these answers will likely help you with your problem.

    Hello. Thanks for the video!
    I have a Triton T70Z electric shower. The power switch (top dial) doesn't work anymore, it moves in a continuous circle without clicking into place. What would be the fix for this?

    Hello
    Is their an easy way to remove the solenoid from a Triton Jade 2 shower unit.. I can get it to slide a little but it's obstructed by the unit casing to be removed fully
    Thanks.. Derek

    My Creda 950DL electric shower doesn’t work properly.
    The Mid LED light stays off - water runs cold at full pressure. Turned the water flow dial to extreme hot - then water gets lukewarm, while the flow from the showerhead is weak. Both High LEDs stays on, while the Mid LED stay off.
    I then tried to remove component/s. However, after spending about an hour trying…I found they were not straightforward to remove. I then replaced the cover and left it.
    So, I guess it's got to be a new shower?!

    My Triton T80i extra has developed a drip from the shower head. I Took the shower head and hose off and the drip was coming from the bottom of the unit. Removed the PRD (having watched your video) but the drip was emerging from inside the tube above the PRD. Can you advise on what I should inspect next? many thanks

    hi shower Doctor, I have a T80si shower (over 10 years old) and have noticed over time (well in the last few weeks) that in order to get hot water I now have to increase the temp setting to almost it's top setting of 8 or 9 to get hot water where as before the settings 5 or 6 were fine, the water pressure seems ok, is it a case now for a new shower ? thank you Brian.

    Hi shower Doctor,i've noticed recently that when my shower is set for stronger flow,there is water dripping from behind the white casing,I'm terrified that it will connect with the electrics and electrocute me whilst using it.I'm not stupid but know ziltch about the workings of a shower,please advise.

    • @stephensnell1379
      @stephensnell1379 6 лет назад

      Electric showers have seals designed to prevent water from even coming into contact with the water so absolutely no need to be frightened. You will not get electrocuted unless a gasket has worn out completely.

    Hi i have a triton t80gsi and have no hot water.I have replaced the TCO but made no difference.Flow is ok and decreases when you turn to hotter setting as it should.Any ideas please?

    • @showerdoctor
      @showerdoctor  9 лет назад

      Harriet Fricker When you replaced the TCO did you get hot water for a short while or did it just remain cold? It's very unusual for a new TCO to be faulty but do you have a digital multimeter to test it to see if it is okay?
