It’s a loss that never stops aching. Adrian was an artist of such immense caliber. I’m not even talking strictly within the context of his contemporaries but overall. It’s no hyperbole I truly think he was one of the greatest musicians this world has ever seen and certainly one of the most intense and emotionally honest. It takes a certain fragile sensitivity to write that way. I think it’s really beautiful that his legacy grows more appreciative as time goes on. He’s been gone for nearly two and a half decades now but he feels like an old friend. So many of his lyrics and general messaging has helped me so much personally and I don’t think it’s uncommon for other fans to be struck in a similar way. We miss you buddy! “I can see a distant victory” Hold out hope for the brighter days over the horizon. You’re gonna be there soon!
This is one of my favorite performances ever. Perfectly displays how brilliant Adrian Borland was at song-writing/composing. Solid performance from the band as well. May he rest in peace.
What a fantastic performance. I wish Adrian knew what we knew, that he was special, and that his presence on this Earth was very much a valued thing. Rest In Peace.
He knew. He was mostly upset that Bono never recognized his influence. From what Adrian said, Bono had all five Sound albums out with his twenty most listened-to albums. He felt he never got the recognition he deserved. He was also a very disturbed spirit, so I don't think it affected him in his final decision in this life, what we thought of him or his work. He was fighting for his life. I think he thought he saved his soul by ending his life on earth. I miss him dearly.
He allowed us to know about many artists who weren't exactly "mainstream" at the time...
I'm glad this was a program that actually let them perform instead of mime unlike that other program! This audience was pathetic though, jeez. Thank you for this great find so we can appreciate more than they did!
Pero Casas llevó a The Durutti Column, Cocteau Twins, Bunnymen, Nico... Es lo que estoy desenterrando con paciencia.

Yup he knew, he just didn't want to go back to the mental clinic -- at the time he decided to end his life that's what was going to happen

This is what happens when you love what you're doing.
Yes indeed Robert. It’s such a delightful rare beauty seeing others seamlessly compliment each other in bliss.

Counting the days es preciosa
Counting the days is a lovely song.
Unreal how good this is, they were
Great quality video and wonderful performance. Thank you very much.
Nice find
А The Sound тут в живую..
Colvin bright star... ciao Adrian ❤️
