I've seen Les freak out twice in concert for people throwing thing at him. The worst was when I saw them play with Buckethead on the Antipop tour in New Orleans. Some idiot threw a piece of ice and it hit Les's bass. He stopped the show and asked why people would pay good money to see bands just to throw things at the artists. The guy said he wanted to get Les's attention so he could take him fishing. Les told him if he wanted to take him fishing, send him an email. He said he would never get in a boat with a dumbass that would throw things at him on stage. Les went on the tell the guy that the bass he hit with ice was a $7000 Carl Thompson bass that he takes very good care of. He started the show up again in a few minutes, but I was worried for a minute. He was furious, and I don't blame him.

Franomoly I was at that show.Incubus played as well.I remember watching the bassist of Incubus playing a semi difficult slap and pop bass line and looking to his left.Les was standing there watching him play from stage side and the guy got all nervous looking.I definatly remember the ice thing though lol!

I was at this show, same one they're filming this for.
AIC were so good and the crowd did a magical thing where they threw the little water bottles , sold for $5, in the air as AIC played.
Wish I had a camera then to share it but it was a great day of bands and I'll always remember it.
      Tool, RATM, Fishbone. Wow

The early 90s were a special time in rock music. The variety was limitless and all the big acts at the time were young, fresh and seeping with creativity that sadly will never ever be replicated, not to mention topped. For those of us that couldn't record copies on our VHS players at the time, we hole up on RUclips and reminece on some of the most inspirational musicians of that time period.

I mean dont get me wrong its cool that they were playing all this kickass music but they were just cashing in on the craze, they have no idea how the actual scene or its fans worked. Thats why they send in dick heads like this interviewer that had no idea what they were doing or the royalty they were speaking to. It always seems like they’re talking down to the bands.

Not really - its just economics - Rage and Tool were small. AIC was somewhat big the idea is a mid-popular band would draw in people and the smaller bands would grow their audience.

    • @drillbit8280

Best one was 93 but I forget but which one had Janes Addiction,Body Count,Living Colour and some other kickass bands? 92? Or 91? I forget I remember it raining when got to Randall's island (tiny island between Manhattan $ Brooklyn NYC) and the show went on.
But 1993 was killer I got to see Primus on this tour,Than did shows opening for Rush (amazing band as well) and saw them headline at Roseland NYC great year for shows
But This went downhill fast 94 had green day started to get commercial, than 95 was boring all I remember was the bostones and 96 was total sellout Metallica headling Soundgarden,Wu tang clan,Screaming trees,Apocalyptica,"Shaolin monks show",etc.97 was kinda cool Tool headlined Korn,Prodigy(but left the tour early) I believe that was it I think until Perry Farrell tried it again a few yrs ago
