we have run nangkang ar1,s alot on the little kit cars round donnington and other circuits and they hold up really well to be honest we were impressed as we were unsure but they proved way better than expected and quite a few other people noticed too
A great video Steve, I enjoyed the slow mo lol, I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the new tyres, as I've looked at running those myself on a second set of wheels.
Perfect timing Steve. I'm sorting my car this morning to be at the track for 1230. Good to see you're having a good time with the Hero 8. On my Hero 7 Black I use stability on Auto but, it always does that weird thing on bends where it seems to only use part of the frame and does a weird catch up thing. Interested to see if it does it today with the headrest camera mount with the interior to focus on.
Yay, Steve's making content again. 😎 33psi seems about right. Maybe a bit high. Got my 215/40 r17 AD08Rs at about 28-30psi hot. My Mk6 ST150 might be lighter. Found them more grippy at lower pressure.
I’m sure any led lights as an aftermarket fit are for track only. I wanted to change mine on my Fabia Monte Carlo but the legal side is very confusing, some kind of old legislation I believe that needs revisiting and updating that ties up with a number on your headlight unit. Some don’t care but I like to stay on the legal side. Looking forward to the track day vid and the new camera is excellent. 👍
Hi Steve! Happy to see the lock down in your area is over and you can go back on track! I am actually going to track my car for the first time in a few days and I was wondering about two things: 1. Do you stick with original Ford oil (5W30) for track days? 2. Did you ever have an issue with brakes baking lower ball joints on the front arms? I have seen couple people with this problem, however it might as well be the way they are braking... Cheers!
Hi Steve, looking at tracking my ST soon and just wondering the reason to go for a 15" wheel. Is it mainly for the reduced weight and cost of Tyres? Where did you get the alloys from and what offset are they? Love your vids by the way especially as I am an older viewer!
I 2nd that... I'm wondering the same, I'm guessing it's for reduced weight as most people have the T.D 1.2 alloys which is one of the lightest alloys around, but would like to know too.
If you’ve got a decent mount, don’t have any image stabilisation on at all. I’ve ruined loads of track video by forgetting and leaving it on, makes me feel sick watching it, like you’re on a boat 🤣
welcome back steve weve missed ya pal
Hope it goes well at Coombe!
Great to see you back Steve, we’ve missed your videos!!.

Glad to see you back Steve epic content as usual hope you get the weather for the track looking forward to any videos....🤞🤞🤞👍🤟😁
I'm off to Donington in June. Bought 16" Pro Race 1.2 and Yokohama AD08RS for mine.
Put then bulbs in
Have you considered running nitrogen instead of air in the tyres? Makes a big difference between temperatures and prevents moisture in the tyres
I wouldn't know where to get it to be honest.
Spark Plug Steve a lot of tyre shops offer the option 👍🏻 ask at your local one 🤘🏼
I run 78% nitrogen. I’ve got a special pump to save buying it.

What made you go maxd mapping Steve I’m currently revo stage 1 thinking about the swap over to maxd 2r
Hi Steve, where did you get the tyre pressure sensors from? They look good, want to try them on my rally car
Got it from ebay. Was less than £20
Cool 👍
Stick some helicopter tape on the wheel to prevent the TPM from marking the wheel's paint.
6500k bulbs are pretty blue, I'd never use something like that on my own car
I wasn't expecting tyre porn
Hope your good can’t wait to see the track videos
Also my wheels took LOADS of weights.
@ Dunno. Tyre fitter said it may be because they are track type tyres that have a lot thicket tread than normal road tyres.

I always had it on with my hero 5. What go pro you got?
Spark Plug Steve hero 8. Check this out: ruclips.net/video/5Llr0LZ0d-I/видео.html top video has stabilisation on, bottom one is without.
Go on Steve butt
