    I'm thankful for the internet

Love to know we have friends in Australia. Maybe we'll get lucky and the Phillies will play a series there one day. Try to make that happen for us!

If the Phillies are going to spend top dollar. They need to go after Burns. Or a good hitting good defensive outfielder. If the Mets get Soto and Burns it's going to be a tough go for the Phill's.

If the Dodgers can afford Blake Snell, why can't the Phillies afford Juan Soto? See you in Clearwater.

Juan Soto doesn’t want a bunch of money on his contract deferred like Snell, and that probably would be the only chance the Phillies would have of matching or exceeding offers put out by the other teams unfortunately

If Harper being envy of Soto’s contract is a cog in the wheel, well then we’re a a Mickey Mouse franchise. Forget the money, I doubt Soto and Harper want to be playing together anyways. Wanna speculate? Wouldn’t be the least bit surprised Harper is running the place like Lebron and tells the org not to “waste” money on Soto cause Bryce will do it on his own. Stupid sabotage stuff like this.

    We don’t need Soto!

If the Phillies sincerely want Soto and he's willing, they can structure an Ohtani-like deal where he gets his big money but the first 2 yrs takes a small salary (Ohtani is getting paid $2m/yr for first 10 yrs then backloaded) so to clear a lot of contract space then adjust for 2027, etc.. Anything is possible when both parties are willing
