Dude, 5 dollars for a jar of power bait or 20 bucks for a rod holder would be dream prices up here in Canada. Try 8-12 collars for a jar of power balls or 30-50 for most fishing knickknacks. Yes, this is absolutely why I make my own lures. Inline spinners, bottle cap swimmers with willow leaf blades for extra flare and a few vibrating blade baits with googly eyes. 🤣 I have yet to catch things on them but the actions are great on them.
Here let me give you a hack. I take wine corks drill a hole in the middle of it lengthwise , double your Paracord run it through the hole and make rod ties so when you break down your rod, you have one at the top and one on the bottom keep your rods together when you’re done fishing or just hiking I normally end up on the Paracord like you would a slinky the hole tighter
once again i thank you very much for these useful hints and tips plus the information that you're giving us here, I preciate it. also it's going to help us to become better fishing anglers down the road too.
Coil the leader and slip it into a small section of drinking straw. it works better with heavier test. If you have a welder old bed frames make good rod holders.
