For this Subclass: I’d build a Kenku “Scribes” Wizard with the “Rune Carver” background from Bigby presents Glory of the Giants. Then, take the “Rune Shaper” and “Linguist” feats to learn Runecraft and translate it into your Spell Book.
2024 Crafter Origin Feat will make Scribe Wizards expensive inks 20% cheaper to scribe Spells into their book. Something to consider with backwards compatibility. Despite the lack of an upcast effect, some interesting daily free Spell scrolls to make are the ones with consumed material components; Magic Mouth, Continual Flame, Arcane Lock, Illusory Script, Find Familiar, Snare, Protection from Evil & Good.
Great video. Good breakdown. Still getting the hang of wizard and caster stuff. From what you said though would it make sense for a wizard to steal another wizards spell book to just get all his spells?? 😮
Interesting, I regularly used the level 3 features when I played it. Both changing damage and using the quick casted ritual, but will of course depend on your table and how your DM plays certain things
Keep making content. You’re a goodie.

That’s certainly a fun way to go about it
Sorry, I am new in D&D, what is the point of all of this? To copy spells you have heard?
@@netbekaaron7270, in a way, kind of like that.

Scrolls require casting time of 1 action so find familiar, magic mouth, illusory script, and snare won’t work unfortunately
@@BTDND Ah yes that's correct. Continual Flame!

Yes, very much that makes sense and is a fun dynamic between wizards
This is the subclass that I really want to like, but it just feels so weird
Which part feels weird? Always felt pretty naturally synergistic with wizard for me
@@BTDND I think a lot of the level two feature seems very rp. The level 10 feature also feels kinda underwhelming

The level 10 feature I don’t consider super powerful, but in my play the other features were powerful enough that I wasn’t upset at that
